Technically yes.... But I would think it would be harder to get another carrier to support it.

Can this be true?? How can we then roam from tower to tower??
I know my Epic was able to be used with boost mobile, virgin, etc. I wonder why the Photon is not? Hmm..worth looking into I guess.
Out of curiosity, how probable is a usa gsm unlock, I would gladly switch from atrix to photon.

i agree with this
The USA GSM towers are blocked from being used by the photon. And other CDMA towers are used for roaming.
I'm sure one of the genius devs will make something happen?
ill definitely pay/donate to that mod
Damn if a developer could hack it and make it possible they could make a killing.

Yes, 2G is just fine.
If you happen to live in one of the very few markets that TMO has migrated to 1900 MHz HSPA+ coverage, then 3G/4G will work. This is an incredibly small part of the country today however, so I couldn't count on it.
Always check radio band. Make sure if you want tmobile 3G its 1700/2100 go to gsmarena.com and check phone specs. AT&T 4g is 1900/2100. Correct me if im wrong just trying to be helpful.
I agree. 2G works. Just like gamscan said, also hearing that data roaming with AT&T is going to be available in certain markets starting this summer.
Wonder if the TITAN 2 works with tmobile 3G ?

Why not just use Straight Talk and use 4G on the Titan II? Unless you have a contract with T-mo.

Nope TITAN 2 can only using tmobile 2G(EDGE)
I've been offered a SUPERB price on an unlocked AT&T Galaxy S II - but I am a T-Mobile customer.
With that in mind - would that phone be able to utilize 3G/4G on T-Mobile, or would it be locked to EDGE?
Just curious - since I use WiFi in the office as well as at home.
Thanks for any feedback!
Edge only. No 3g

Thats not what hes asking. Hes not asking how to unlock it, hes asking that once the phone is unlocked, if it has the 3G/4G bands for T-Mobile... and that answer is no.

I think you missed understood the question.
@ JWhipple - Pirateghost already asnwer your data connection, your wifi should not be affected. Your wifi connection will depends on what wifi you have at the location and the type of wifi connection (IE: b,g, or N). Wifi will automatically takes over when you are at the office and home.
No AT&T phone other than the Skyrocket allows 3G/4G speeds on T-Mobile, and that requires a modem flash.
There's a slight chance the AT&T Note might if you flash a Canadian Bell modem.
You are limited to edge because the chip used doesn't support the 3g bands used by T-Mobile. Tmobile's version of S2 has a different chip.

Is it possible to unlock the Electrify so that I can use it on another network such as At&t? I have the phone and its not on Us Cellular but I'd still love to use it on At&t.

it does not work on any GSM networks in the US. there might be some CDMA networks that will allow you to put it on their networks.

It's possible if you are running on an unlocked bootloader.

it is not possible. he is on an electrify. not photon. that radio will not flash to the device. no one has successfully done it.
I understand that I'll be able to use my Verizon Note 2 on T-Mobile with HSPA+, but not LTE.
Would it be possible for me to order a replacment antenna meant for a T-Mobile Note 2 and install it in my Verizon model?
Then would flashing a T-Mobile radio to access their GSM bands be feasible?

T-Mobile signal is horrible across the entire country why would you want to "ruin" your wonderful Verizon phone by turning it into a T-Mobile phone?

The simple answer is no. Flashing a t-mobile modem 2ill more than likely drop your imei and baseband. Our phone does have GSM capabilities but I do not believe it has the same band.
I have, however, heard of acheiving 4g..but I have personally not done so
