so after a long year well almost a year with my x10 (flashing roms, rooting and updating, executing shell commands, overriding atts tight leash on their phones/network, optimizing the phone to its fullest, you know the good ol' times) I have managed to brick the damn phone.. or have the screen burn out on me lmao [which is false, due to the following: no charging, no led, and nothing could fix it. (e.g seus pc compan, flashtool; all versions, lol, windows nt .bat scripts, and countless, seriously, countless hours of researching and diagnosing what the problem could be.. it even spit out the rsa key in debug mode if im not mistaken.. my damn phone would not accept the loader.. the bat cmd would force it in but just to flash the loader took over night and then the phone would even die completely.. anways do you guys have any idea what it could of been even though it doesn't matter anymore.. its in multiple pieces underground.. I thought a proper burial was nessecary for my one true and faithful love lmao.. anyways I got the flipside and ****ing managed to brick it in two weeks.. eh.. after the 2.2 update for the pos came out and then update of my phone was done the same day.. they tell you theres no way to root it I decide to switch back to 2.1... thennnnnnnnnn you get to figure out you can't switch back to 2.1 after the update (go figure) then you go back online and then notice they are telling you this a little late.. so I tried everything once again with it to debrick it the battery runs out finally and I give up.. thennnnn about 2 weeks ago they give you the way to fix your damn phone and now Ihave no battery to fix the P.O.S so I charge it over night.. I flash the bootloader as suggested and then the rom.. and yet notenough battery..I guess im **** outta luck.. anyways any suggestion on which phone to get next? which phone would you get? I was thinking a tablet.. butttttt I think I wouldn't see daylight for awhile after getting a tablet.. lol

it appears i cannot post to where this is most related...bricked p500h's optimus ones. phone number 3. koodo shall hate me but i will lie again and just say no turn on if noone has a solution. everytime its the update-openoptimus as the culprit, the flash after as per instructions with baseband(force close always occurs and thats the next step) fails and phone goes dead. no life. bricked. whats rather saddening is all the hundreds of posts i read here about people calling their phones bricked when they are in fastboot or emergency mode. hell life would be nice...little note to people. fastboot or emergency mode is NOT a bricked phone. phone going dead during a kdz flash and fail with NO SIGN OF LIFE afterwards is a bricked phone. im going to cry if i see someone else say. i haz yellow screen. ARRGH I BRICKED MY PHONE!!~! HAAALP OH YE WIZARDS OF XDA!!!
now..is there some trick to give this guy power aside from a charged battery and plug via ac or usb...some hidden little nub in this phone to hella reset the freakin thing? im not confident koodo gonna send another. although i will say i dont want a lg ill pay for an upgrade above n beyond. i just would prefer to make this work and say to hell with ciaoux (think thats how the young fella spells it) pretty rom...it worked the first time and thats why i want it its nice i liked it then phone bricked somehow. gone through two more tryin to get there. there has to be a way to give these phones some power tho...has to be! pls xda gurus: this is my first post and ive waited awhile for it. how to save p500h no boot no post.

No. Just JTAG. Forget it, it costs more than a PCB change or even more than a brand new phone.
lol ill try my luck, 3rd replacement(if i was honest with them none of em woulda been outright replaced, but hey i was stupid enough to brick it 3 times, not gonna be so stupid to tell the truth what i did!) tomorrow am i call and say ***k lg! gimme a nexus s! 16gb internal. really ive fought gettin the one rom with 4gb sd-ext for internal memory, non issue if i persuade them with my charm. this is what i shall do. next up...lookup what jtagging is. ive meant to. guess now i will. thinkin without a thought its jtag=tagged for garbage. yanno when they take them in and theres no power. they have no real proof, not the provider i doubt. only on amce lg gets it they know whats was done..if that. fill me in if im wrong. im quite good at gettin **** for free from telus/shaw/any of them like outfits.
JTAG is a device that will flash the dead phone with a working firmware. You need to dismantle the phone and connect the JTAG to a connector on PCB. Yeah, Google it, but as said, expensive and totally not worth it unless you are doing the stuff for living.

koodos sendin another. easy enough. now. wtf does this rom upgrade to ciaoux's update-openoptimus keep pooching my phones for though. 3 tries.. 3 bricks, never on the actual rom upgrade...but afterwards always force close so i run fix permissions in recovery, followed by the v20g_00 baseband upgrade........this is where it fails everytime. i should note, in the past the lge virtual modem has been present but disabled as required, but not lately. its now always lge android usb modem....i dont think i disabled that guy.....maybe the problem? really leary about running any kdz or lpdm updater now for sure. to call in a 4th time in two weeks with a dead phone my provider is gonna sorta maybe start askin questions......im pretty sure. lol goddam i needa large capacity phone, i haz a 20tb server but only a 512mb capaacity droid phone. messed. ****.

well i got RSD lite and started flashing the stock rom to it.

at the point where it has to reboot. ir didnt do it.

When you turn the device on - does it say anything about NV FLASH and then turn off?

i called motorola this morning and they guy that anwered said it had warranty so i sent it in.

okay, I am seeing this alot, but everyone else unit seems to shut off before anything can happen, mine does not, it simply stays on. That being said, I am conducting an experiment, since my ATRIX was afflicted I baught a new one because I liked the webtop idea, so im charging my new one to 100% and then im going to swap out batteries and check the results. Has anyone seen any evidence at all that might suggest a possible fix? I will update you guys on the results of my experiment once completed, hopefully I can come across something that will lead someone to a fix if not find one myself.
I have the American version of the S3. It was successfully rooted, but stock rom. I was looking into CM9, and noticed that Rom Manager said they supported the SGS3 and CM9. I installed Rom Manager and chose the option for it to reboot for me. However at that point it turned off and won't come back on. NOTHING. No light when I plug it in, can't get it into download mode. I've pulled the battery, replaced it, tried CWM button combination as well as Download mode button combination. PLEASE help.
The phone had about 25-30% battery at the time. I've got it plugged in, and I'm holding out hope it may at least get into download mode once it has more juice.
Man sorry to hear that. While I've had my share of issues with Rom Manager (that's why I quit using it), I've never heard of it bricking a device. What were you having it do when this happened? Did you flash a recovery or Rom. Or were you just rebooting or rebooting to recovery. What custom recovery did you have installed?

you might be right, cause when you got battery life lower than 50% rom manager tend to recognize it and stop flashing i think.
i bricked my t999 2 days ago because of over flashing hahaha. i flash at least 3 times a day from cm9 to cm10 to stock anything i can find. The phone still work but its got a corrupted IMEI and the IMEI show a 0 instead of the original number.i can't return it because it past 14 days. i just gotta wait for someone to find a fix i guess. Why can't i brick it before the 14 days.... sigh...
when you got your fix make sure you back up your un-corrupted EFS folder. i learned my lesson by not to. with the AT&T and T-mobile versions it tend to happen more. It is random also. so back up you efs folder and nandroid it.
well at least i can now continuing flashing and try out new roms and doesn't worry about bricking it "again".
i don't know maybe i will sell it for cheap...

What does device manager show? If its QHSUSB DLOAD ur done. Otherwise post what it says.Also plug it in without a battery, bet it gets a red light.which i think also points to u bein screwed. and rom manager can brick you dont be fooled(quit using as well).
ouch, i think you might have possibly ended up flashing something for the international one? dont know much that could help you at this point, god knows if those download jigs still work for the iii if they could help you at all. You might be looking at either a jtag fix or a warrenty.
I never really saw a point to using rom manager easier to just flash cwm and look on xda for zips, not to mention it you have to pay to get like 3/4ths of the apps functionality even it seems.

To the OP, sounds like your best bet is trying for a warranty claim or sending it to Samsung. Unfortunately you're the third person in two days that I've read has done this. The other two sent it to Samsung and they actually didn't charge them I believe.

I rooted Alcatel Ot-903 after waiting long for it to be possible for so long, finally found here a solution and it worked like a charm ( the eroot.exe method, it's here somewhere, just look). Damn, i was so happy, it was smooth and quick comparing to other phones and ways to root them with flash/custom roms/other wizardry i dont even remember....
So as a noobie that got a new shiny toy i started checking out what root priveleges actually mean, and installed all i can find with magic words in app's name "rooted device required"... After a few hours i thought... i can really kill that phone now if i just go crazy with all that power i just got granted... better do backup, or even beter - TWO! just in case! Better safe then sorry....
One did with cloud backup on sdcard and the other one after getting 3 diffrent backup apps - finnaly got to be done with Titanium Backup Pro6.0.2. patched ... that went smooth too... so i was confident now im safe...
till the phone wanted to restart (not sure what wanted that) and after rebooting it just shows logo and wont boot...
And now im almost 100% sure i killed it for good with my desperate efforts to fix it, without actually knowing what im doing (tested every option in mtk droid tools & SP Flash tool i could think of, even more, messed with recovery mode and got it to not work, and finally when i was told TItanium and Cloud backups i did wont help anything either, stock rom maybe would help, but just try google that... thats when i decided to finish torturing that poor device and just cut it's pain myself... and didnt try that Format button yet in SP... format whole flash... yeah that sounds like should end it for good.... so it's not showing logo now, wont go recovery, not responds to mtk anymore, just blue lamp when on usb... and i know now that boot loop could be fixed, and probably someone will say it's not dead and can get it working again.. but i just lost a friend and im sad because of that... little phone that just wasnt ment to be (rooted)

Did you try plugging your usb lead in with the battery taken out? If you plug it in, then put the battery in, you might hear it connect then disconnect twice. If it does, then you can use ONE TOUCH UPGRADE, you can download it direct from Alcatels site. Run it, connect phone without battery in, then put it in and wait. It should detect the phone and start downloading stock rom.

Hello land of android. I just wanted to tell my story of the S7 edge Live demo unit of H Ell. I have one and I went to remove the retail version or what ever it just wouldn't boot anymore. I could get in blue down load screen but that it. I tried for 2 months, in between my other phones and not caring anymore about the phone ( my friend gave to me, he had two that he got while working at a Verizon at best buy store in the Midwest and it shut down.. he managed the store and they told him to toss the phones....in case your wondering as every post i see about these somebody is calling the guy posting a thief in one way or another...EVERY SINGLE ONE, besides this one ha ha jk, one of you will) anyways I have flashed and flashed and flashed with no success, I finally got twrp on it...OK, now i am getting somewhere. still took 3 days and many a thing I flashed, at this point it has a boot loader exception error that i have never seen nor could find many people on here that have. Used to have "USE smart switch to recovery cause your update failed" or something like that and a half a dozen other errors from doing stuff that i don't fully understand. I tell you, to people who are worried about bricking their device.....I am starting to think thats a myth...i tried my hardest to brick this phone ( i flashed every zip file i could get my hands on, its started to be a joke to to see how much the phone could take..i was flashing zips of different phones he ll i was flashing zips that had nothing to do with Android at all. back to what i was saying couldn't get it to boot either so i was thinking maybe that this mythical BRICK i keep hearing about. I flashed the Flyme on it, which i know nothing about and the mo-fo booted up after two months of nothing and just crazy errors.. Its now saying its a SM-G935F. its rooted and everything..way cool. I just thought i would share or if anybody needs to test a program, file, or apk..... anything...ill be your GG PIGGY. ( for stuff you are actually trying to make work, i don't need programs written just to F my S up... i can most likely handle that on my own....edit...actually,,this would be funny....nah never mind. no intentional screw ups...yet..just talk me into it... Its going to be my mission to see how much this phone can take...you know ..for science and all that. But later, right now i am gonna enjoy playing with my new S7 since i just got it going.
