Hi
I've flashed my galaxy tab with ISI-GALAXY rom and I'm experiencing some problems. Tablet is not recognizing the usb cable. Doesn't matter if its charged from mains or connected to PC. Battery status is showing 100% all the time (8 hours so far). Last problem is the screen rotation. Screen always rotate to the opposite direction ( upside down) to the required position. Is anybody have any idea how to fix this? Can't flash different ROM because usb cable is not being recognized. I would appreciate any help.
i can only assume that you did not flash the right rom for your device.
please double-check the model for which the rom is for, against your own device.
I've just checked and my Tab is P7510 and the ROM that I've flashed is for P7500. Would this caused all the bother? Now that you've mentioned this I had a quick look trough the posts and couldn't find any ROM based on P7510.
That rom is intended for 7100 devices, not for 7510.
Yes it would cause all those issues and more.
The 10.1 section has a plethora of roms for 7510. Use only those.
Thanks for some clues. I will use drop-box tomorrow to transfer the proper ROM to my tab and then flash it.

Hi,
My S3's screen suddenly stopped working. Approximately 1cm on the top still works. The warranty should cover this, but my device is rooted, and my flash counter isn't 0. It would be best to reset the flash counter before handing it in.
The touch screen still works fine, the only issue is that I can't see the screen. If I could figure out a way to turn on USB debugging, I could probably output the screenshots over adb or by using a program. Problem is, I cant remember where the entry is in the settings.
I also bought the MHL cable so that I can connect it to a display, however I'm running Cyanogenmod. Is there any way to flash a Rom other then through CWM?
If i reset the flash counter, Then I can just flash the stock rom through Odin.
Galaxy S3
Cyanogenmod 10.1-20130316
Siyah Kernal 6.0.xx
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
It may be worth reading the identical exact same very similar posts for an answer .
ADB Heimdall i vaguely recall was a solution posted to this question .

Hi, I'm a bit stuck with a problem on my S2 HD LTE SHV-E120K. While once playing a game the phone heated up pretty much (the charger was connected). After that it rebooted. I thought that the stock ROM got corrupted so I changed the recovery from Tegrak (phone was rooted with this a while back) to CWM 6.0.3.6 and loaded CM10.2 (cm-10.2-20131027-NIGHTLY-dalikt). To my surprise its still rebooting. But when I disconnect the charger the phone reboots and at times when charging it also reboots. If the charger is not connected the phone does not boot up.
Can anyone say what or where the problem may be?:crying:
Sounds like USB board on the fritz. I don't know for certain if your specific variant uses the exact same boards as the I9100, but have a look at KeithRoss39's guide to replacing the USB board in General (search for 'replacing USB charger board').
You'll probably find Keith's how-to will hold true for your model as well (so far as following the same procedure goes), you just have to ensure you order the correct replacement part - and the way you do that is by removing the board currently in the phone, noting the revision or part number, and making sure you order the exact same part.
Wow! I did suspect this but never thought it could be the case. I'll look at that article. But anymore suggestions are welcome.
But if the battery is fully charged then the phone should boot up without a problem right? But it doesn't It needs the charger to be connected for it to boot.
When you say USB board would you be able to say if you mean the USB port specifically or some small chip on the USB board assembly?
The board has the port attached and is really cheap to replace (~US$10 or so), and quite replaceable by most people if you follow Keith's guide. When the board starts acting up, it often shows symptoms you're describing. And as it's a cheap/easy fix, that's what I'd be doing. Try a clean install of stock first (even if you've come from stock recently) to absolutely rule out a rom-side problem if you want to. I'd be surprised if it's still not the same though.
As to specifically what component on the board is causing the issue, no way to say for certain, and it's not really relevant here; the fix is still replacing the entire board given the modular design of phones these days & the low cost of doing so.
I saw Keith post to another thread in Q&A just now, I'm sure he'll also post to this thread & give you a bit more info (he's the resident expert on these things here).
Ok got you. I have not been able to find any links to stock rom downloads. Do you have any? Also, what recovery is to be used with the stock rom? My phone was bought from Korea on ebay. It displays ''Olleh'' in the boot image. Just to let you know so you may be able to figure out which stock rom this is.
I've checked Samfirmware, and they don't have firmware for your device specifically, so I have no idea (beyond Googling) where you might find stock firmware or if you can use firmware from other devices in the same 'SHV' family. I honestly don't know.
I gave you advice about the USB board because it's generic & quite likely the source of your problems, but I'm not even a little familiar with your device so I can't give you detailed/specific help with it.
Given how little traffic the S2 forums get these days & how few people here have SHV devices, your best bet (other than waiting, and it could be a very long wait) is to trawl through the forums here with XDA searches (or Google searches with XDA appended to your search terms, XDA search isn't the best at times) to find the info you need.
Would you know how to remove CWM recovery and get it back to stock recovery after I install the stock rom?
If you flash a stock rom, stock recovery will overwrite CWM. Everything will be stock (recovery, kernel, etc).
Edit - Assuming your phone is similar to the I9100 in having recovery baked into the kernel (unlike more recent Samsung phones which have the kernel & recovery in separate partitions).
I have a galaxy s3 sch-r530, android version 4.3, us cellular, and i was flashing a custom rom to it (Android Revolution HD Custom ROM) and i got halfway through the installation of it, and in recovery mode, it was asking me a question and i had accidentally backed out of it, and it hard bricked, ive tried charging the battery, tried booting into download mode, i bought a jig and that doesn't seem to work. i've watched countless videos and tried alot of different things, it doesnt turn on but when i take the battery out, and plug it in the computer the led light turns on for 5 seconds or so, then turns off. also when i plug it in the computer it makes the device connected noise but odin doesnt detect it, and i cant access it at all.
any advice?

You'd have to do something along these lines:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345860
But with the debrick img for your variant on 4.3. Only one I found floating around with a quick glance is the 4.1.2 version, which will not work since you have the 4.3 bootloader. You might look around on teamuscellular.com since this is their forte.
http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/7575-hard-bricked-r530u-16gb-43-mja/
That guy seemed to have found the file somewhere, but he didn't say where.
It is very specific about what kind of card you use and it has to match your internal storage. As in if you have the 16 GB model, then make sure to use a debrick img for the 16 GB version on a 16 GB SD card. Sounds like a normal class 10 (not UHS-1) makes a difference too.
If that does not work, then you would need a JTAG service.
"If that does not work, then you would need a JTAG service." how can I do this on my SCH-R530?
I have done something very wrong. Actualy Jellybean 4.3 data service not working on India so I wait for Kitkat and then I found Kitkat for download and downloaded it but after that I could not update Kitkat, before update I try to update modem so I extract Kitkat Modem and install on Jellybean 4.3 and then baseband shown unknown, now I want flash 4.3 or 4.4 but after switch off the mobile does not start and when I plug then lap detect but driver not install and shown unknown device. Now I understand I brick my mobile. Now my question is which debrick image work for me, Jellybean 4.3 or Kitkat 4.4???? If debrick process not working then its possible to work on JTAG Service? Which box can solve my problem??? RIFF box can solve my problem???? Then I will buy RIFF Box and try it. Please suggest me. thanks.
I will wait for your reply.
Hi everybody,
Got directed to this site for being my best chance of getting my Tab 3 10.1 (GT-P5210) back up and running. Worked on plenty of computers but haven't done much in the way of tablets.
The issue I'm having goes like this:
-When connected to a charger I get the battery icon with the circle. It does not reflect that it is charging. I have gotten a new battery for it and it still does the same thing.
-When the tablet is powered on it gets as far as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 screen.
-I went into the recovery menu (volume up & power) and did a factory reset on it. The background shows the Android laying down with No Command underneath and then shows Error!
-Downloaded the recovery firmware (I believe that's what it is) from Sammobile. 2.28 GB file unzipped, titled P5210XXUBNK2_P5210XACBNK2_Home.tar.md5. Copied it to a microSD card and tried the update from external option. Basically got the same result as before.
-It was suggested that I root the device, so I downloaded Odin and used TWRP (I think I got the right one). It did it's thing and restarted but I'm still no further ahead.
Is there another step I should be taking? Or other files I should be using?
I haven't found and clear tutorials on this so far, a lot of the ones I've come across have links to other forums that are about as clear as mud or have dead links.
My goal is just to have a functioning tablet at the end that works basically the way it did when I first got it.
Thanks in advance!
Quiet bunch
Well I have a Samsung Player 4.0 (I'm not sure if it's the international version or the US) it has 8GB.
Thanks to this same forum you can install a CyanogenMod WITH ANDROID 4.4.4 . all good. One day searching the internet I saw a Rom with android 5.1 or something like that, I followed the steps to install it but it did not work.
Between the steps there was one of unstalarle a .pit with Odin when I did this the phone stayed on the black screen and even when I connect the charger nothing comes out.
I need help, I've seen several tutorials that come with some phones with this same problem and says that the solution is to look for 2 test poin and join them so that when you plug it in download mode. but I do not know if this is what I should do, thanks in advance !!
