10.1v vs 10.1? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Which one should I get, does it make much of a difference?

10.1
Samsung went back to the drawingboard after the ipad 2 came out and upped all the specs on the 10.1 vs what became the 10.1v (contract with vodafone)

[Q] picking up my galaxy tab soon..quick question

im going to pick up my galaxy tab 10.1 soon..but how will i be able to tell if its a 10.1v or a 10.1 id prefer a 10.1v
I haven't seen either model in the flesh, but the 'V' will have a back like the one shown in the link. I think that the V was exclusive to Vodafone?

yes, the v is only sold by vodafone in the UK. the v model is much thicker than the standard.
ok. thanks guys

[Q] What does the v mean on the forum on Samsung galaxy tab 10.1. I'm confused cause I bought mine from bestbuy.

Two different tablets
The 10.1v was released a couple of months before the 10.1 and is much thicker
i think you can only buy the 10.1v in select countries and on net so you've probs got just a 10.1 which can be bought anywhere

I would prefer note 2. Note 1 has basically the same innards as s2 except the size. If buying new, buy a stronger beast..
SII is quite good enough. If I were you, I would stick with SII.
Note 2 is a much better option than the original note. If you can afford it, then Note 2 is the way. It's much better than S2 and the original Note combined together.
If u could afford the note2 i would have the s3. I wiuld have tge 4s but i dnt like how limited the software is.

Sadly, an iPad II. I seriously don't know what possessed me! At the time there wasn't really an Android tablet that appealed to me or that was available in my country. I desperately want to get rid of it and replace it with a new Galaxy Tab. iOS is crrrrrrrrrrap! You cant even do simple things like Bluetooth files from one device to another! Some of the apps and games on iOS are ok but as for the functionality/customisability, it is non-existant!
I have the nexus 7 32gb version. Before I had the Asus transformer.
Both great tablets but I fancied a smaller form factor after a year with a 10.1 inch tablet. And I could not resist the 7's price tag either! Especially after I tried a friends one at work one time.

[Q] Trade iPad 2 for tab 10.1

I have an iPad 2 16 gb 3G been offered a trade for a p7500 I'm leaning toward doing it just prefer android over ios. Although I do admit my ipad has been a good tablet my main gripes with it are the speaker which it seems the 7500 does better. Also I was hoping to be able to Bluetooth tether from my galaxy note to conserve battery over wifi tethering.
Has anyone else made the jump from an iPad 2 over to a 7500? Any regrets?
All of my family members use iPads but me. 2 ipad 2s and 2 iPad 3s.
I use galaxy note 10.1 and I love it. I would never trade mine for any iPad including upcoming iPad 5.
Lol but that's just me. I am just saying I have no regrets. I love s pen. I dunno about gal tab 2. I only used it for one day then sold it. I liked galaxy tab 2 10.1 but i wanted the pen.
Anyways u will like the tab if u like ansroid. U are talking about tab 2 10.1 right? Not tab 10.1.

Believe it's the tab 1 the p7500 I've done a lot of searching online seems to be similarly specd as the iPad 2. Obviously the tab 2 is better but I'm hoping the tab 1 will still keep me satisfied for awhile.
I would probably just stick with the ipad if I were you.

Oh, yes, stick with the ipad. If it were a tab 2 10.1, It'd be a fairly good deal, but giving away an ipad2 3g for a p7500 you're being had.

^ This comparison/review is pretty straightforward...
Ill will trade you my t-mobile galaxy tab 4g.

Apart from the tab 2 being newer and having a micro sd slot, there is absolutely no difference in spec to the original tab 10.1. The original wifi version cost £400 while the tab 2 only costs around £250 at the moment. Its not a better device.
