I was looking at Samsungs ChatOn application news and I went into Samsung Apps to look for it (later learned it will come out in October) and something strange happend.
Apparently now Samsung Apps needs a SIM card, I have the WiFi Model and previously -I think before TouchWiz- could enter Samsung Apps with out any problem.
Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,
Searched but I couldn't find anything related to this. Just got my wife the SGS2 (AT&T). Rooted. An issue she is having which first happened with the game "fruit ninja" is after she installs it from the market, it doesn't show up in the app drawer. Eventually the app did show up (after a reboot or two) but, there are other apps that showed up immediately after installing and then disappeared from the app drawer. The apps are still installed because if you go to them in the market you can click "open" and they open without an issue. Phone is running gingerbread (not the 2.3.6 update (because of the root, was unable to update)). Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, rooted and running AOKP build 38. There are several key apps that show as "not compatible with my device" in the Google Play Store. What causes this? I've been running these apps forever and all different roms. Apps like HD Widgets and Adobe Flash Player are a couple that are doing this. Is there a way to fix this or is it a per-ROM problem?
Thanks so much,
caseym
Sorry you cant
Google Play sorted all the apps so it will work on you mobile:
they will look for:
-if the resolution right
-does you phone have the hadware for it?
like: does it have an gps for an gps app?
yes?-> the app will show up in the google play store!
no? -> the app wont run or is useless and then it wont show up in the playstore!
-can you phone run the app with your hardware? if your phone is too slow and you want to run an advanced 3D game it wont work and wont show up!
if you really think your andriod phone can run it look on google to find the app and install it with an file explorer like: es file explorer.
i dont know if it works for you but it mostly worked for me with some apps that were to big for the screenresolution of my htc wildfire.
it may can the app up0dated and removed the compatibility with your phone. and yes mostly it is rom fault

Similar problem
I have a similar problem...
When I used the official ROM, I was able to use some apps that appear unavailable for my device. Now I'm using ICS official (SGS2).

Chances are you've downloaded an app which has one of those ad things, which puts ads/pop ups on your phone etc. check all devices and see if you have any apps that are on all devices.
Also check the reviews of all the apps you have installed, they'll normally have people complaining about the amount of spam the app is creating.
1. title tells absolutely nothing about your problem
2. don't ask questions in this section

thats what i assumed so i formatted all my devices and started from scratch and its still happening...
You need to workout what app is warez . Any downloaded from non Play store are suspects .
Full format or part format ???
Full format stock rom with no added apps to start .
jje
The devices may be syncing with each other if they have the same google account.
Full Stock format with no apps to start with except whats built into the rom which i had no troubles with...my tab is on AKOP could that be the problem?
Sometimes it happens when you sign in with an email address for using play store or at the phone setup..
Where as you'd have checked the ”backup all data from Google"
At least tell us what apps are being downloaded..
Hello all.I own a d2tmo Samsung galaxy s3. I installed paranoid android 3.99 on my phone, and shortly after,I realized my stock messaging app was gone. Then my Google search apk disappeared, then HALO, then the play store! Search was replaced by some weird search icon. And in my installed apps, I had one at the bottom which was all traditional chinese. I wish I could have screenshot it, but I bank on my phone, and I wiped it shortly after to prevent further infection/stolen data.has anyone ever encountered this before?I feel like its still hiding in my SD card :/
Nope never heard of this one before. If you still have that version of pa on your PC, double check its the real one for your phone, check md5sum/sha1 too be sure.
If it is then chances are it is something you downloaded, look back at any apps (even from the play store) or website you may have visited from mobile or any other files you downloaded. May not be a bad idea to backup only important things from SD card then format it and restore just to be safe until you track down the culprit
Best of luck and be careful what gets download to your phone!

Hello.
First of all, sorry if the thread title isn't super descriptive.
OK, so I haven't had any problems with downloading apps because of region restrictions or such until now.
Today, I discovered that Play Store wouldn't show Instagram or Swiftkey keyboard on a new GT-i9505 (totally stock) and an Xperia Z (totally stock). I can easily find the same apps in the Play Store on my rooted GT-i9300 running 5.0.2 BlissPop.
Now, since I can see both these apps on my S3, I guess that rules out my network as being the root of the issue.
EDIT: And since these are pretty popular apps as well, and the other devices that I'm trying to find these apps on are widely-used devices as well, I find it unlikely that it's a compatibility issue either.
If anybody could help me find out why I can't see certain apps on my GT-i9505 or Xperia Z, I'd really appreciate it.
Whoops... Even though I'd tried it before, after rebooting my modem and router again a couple of times, it seems the issue is resolved.
