Hello Folks,
I have a GT-P7510MAYB SKU unit (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1). Upon attempting to flash using CWM 4.0.0.4, I receive: ASSERT FAILED: GETPROP("RO.BOOTLOADER") == P7100BUKB7
What does this mean, and how does one go about resolving this? It looks like there's a comparison check against a version and it is failing.
I had downloaded the hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip as mentioned in multiple threads. Is this not the appropriate stock 3.1 rom for my tablet SKU? If not, where can I find a matching ROM for the GT-P7510MAYB?
Any help appreciated.

You're attempting to flash a ROM meant for the 10.1v (P7100).
Not sure where to get a P7510 variant of the ROM you want.

also it would be a great help if anyone could tell me how to flash cwm on my phone
my phones details are:

How to flash cwm:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
About the GTi9100P model...you might want to check out the CM forums and ask em over.
Hope that helped
Looking at the updater-script for the last version of cyanogenmod that I downloaded, it checks for the following devices:
Code:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "galaxys2" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100M" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100M" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100T" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100T");
Since yours is not one of those, it will fail. If I remember correctly, others have flashed ROMs meant for the I9100 on their I9100P phones without problems, but have lost NFC in the process. In other words, you could edit the updater-script to allow it to install on your device, but that's entirely at your own risk of course and I certainly take no responsibility for any resulting paper weight.
Anyway, the Q&A thread for CM7 is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176411

It doesn't seem to, according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408680
(also, that thread ends with someone failing to get CM7 working, but that might have been their fault for not flashing the zip twice).

Hi
I recently read the instructions on how to update to ics at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322059.
I managed to root my device and install rom manager/clockwork mod. However,I am on 3e and I am apparently supposed to get 2e to install unsigned zip files? I found answers saying I should use Odin to flash speedmod but when I try the program just freezes. Ive tried multiple versions and different kernels. All I want to do is to be able to install ICS Aplha 3 on my galaxy tab.
If anyone can post detailed instructions on how to proceed,it would be very much appreciated.
Evening all
I used to have a happily-flashed S2 I9100 running ICS Domination over a custom rom I can't actually remember, anyway to cut it short it died and O2 sent me out a replacement handset, though against my knowledge they've 'upgraded' me to the I9100p, with the NFC chip!
My problem with that is they stopped bothering with the i9100p and it's stuck on android 4.0.3, and I pride myself on being something of a nerd, and after putting up with the stock experience for this long, I've got the night off work so I thought I'd look into getting some nice custom firmware going on The first thing I discovered is that you can stick I9100 ROMS on the I9100P, the consequence being you lose NFC functionality, but seeing as contactless payment hasn't made it outside of London in the UK yet (and there are, to my knowledge, no apps that actually would make the NFC chip on the I9100P usable for contactless payment) I really dont mind losing it.
Given that it's been about 6 months since I last did anything even slightly techie with android (the last time was when ICS was actually being leaked, hehe good times) I went and picked out my kernel:
[KERNEL][Multi-ROM|JellyBean] Team Skyfire - Code: Dream-IRC [CWM/TWRP] 10/01/2012
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788021
Thought that looked pretty decent!
Next up it was time to hunt for a ROM, I decided on:
[ROM] [Official] » [ Update] LiquidSmooth » JellyBean RC 3 » 1st Oct
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1913470
So that's a pretty much brand new kernel and rom! Both released on October 1st! Both compatible too (CM10)
Next up I rooted my I9100P, got CWM going on so I could flash those bad boys on!
Kernel went on perfectly, it's happilly working
ROM though... See here's the issue.
When I'm installing it through CWM, I get an error:
....
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "
GT-I9100" | | getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100"
E:Error in /sdcard/Liquid-JB-v2.0-RC4-i9100(1).zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Now, the techie in my head looks at the word "device" and the word "product" and thinks "Hmm. It seems it's checking to make sure it's being installed to an I9100, finding it's being installed to a I9100P and saying "well **** that." and aborting.
If that is the case and I'm right (I did a fair bit of googling, ended up redownloading and MD5 checksum'ing the ROM, hence the '(1).zip' on the end of the file can someone please tell me how to fix it so it'll install anyway?
Well that's a bit wishful, I suppose the first question I should ask is 'is it actually possible to install this rom to an i9100p'
My instinct says yes, just that some code might need altering!
Any help would be MAJORLY appreciated, especially as from what i've heard from extensive googling is that carriers are handing out I9100P's as replacement handsets more and more now cos there's an abundance of them, so demand for I9100p roms is only gonna increase!
Thanks in advance!

Yes it's possible. The ROM developer should have included GT I9100P, and GT I9100M.
You can edit your build.prop and change every GT I9100P, to GT I9100, using ROOT explorer / solid explorer, save and reboot.
Now try to flash the Rom again.

Hehe, I think I know what you mean, hopefully this wont result in a bricking incident, I mean my main concern right now is that if the build.prop is configured to I9100 I can't even imagine the potential for the same problem occuring all throughout the code.
Still, leaps of faith time

If you have fears, then you can add your device GT I9100P, to the updater script in the Rom zip file.
1. You must backup an unmodified copy of the zip file
2. Use Notepad ++ to edit it. Don't use the normal Windows notepad!
It's just straight-up aborting the install now, not even giving any errors or status codes
I'm gonna look for this updater script, thanks for the heads up on Notepad++ cos I was completely ready to use normal Notepad
Nope, once again aborted with no feedback, that's with all 9100's changed to 9100P in the updater script and build.prop
I'm not giving up though, please help

Ok.
Download and flash CM9 ROM first, perform all the necessary wipes.
Your device should change to GT I9100 now in Settings - About phone.
Now flash this your ROM again. All should be fine now.
Good luck

Ah, one continually present problem has arisen!
Unfortunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped.
Do you think it's a good idea to find the .apk for it and install it manually?

BTW, did you perform the recommended factory reset while flashing the Jellybean ROM?
Hi,
I'm trying to install the CM11 rom for my Galaxy S II GT-I9100 (International Version) and the update says:
"This package is for "galaxys2,i9100,GT-i9100,GT-i9100M,GT-i9100T,GT-i9100P" devices; this is a "".
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-11-20131118-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip
(Status 7)"
I've tried with Linaro, CM11 UNOFFICIAL and it keeps saying this. I've also tried with Rom Manager and nothing. I installed the custom kernel from Cyanogenmod 10.2, nothing.
I don't know what to do.
Thanks!
use latest blazing kernel . then u can see magic .
Does I9100 have blazing kernel too? I thought that was just for I9100G. Don't use Rom manager, stasus 7 is corrupted file so download the rom again, you are using a compatible recovery right? Read the instructions again and make sure you do everything correctly.
Hi people:3, I have a very very very big problem I just get a "new" Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100 ( "new" because it is used) ok... It had the version 3.3.4 so I decide to update it with the original rom 4.1.2 and I did it, Then I rooted to be free used ( I mean use any type of company in the SIM card) but I couldn't, then I read in internet that I had to change the rom.... so I search rom and I tried with this one:

and another one that I don't remember (I found it at the CYANOGENMOD official page)
I followed exactly this steps: First I downloaded two files, the rom and a file called CWM.zip, then I installed the CWM file and then the rom (I know the process because I did it before with another phone) but when I installed the rom this appeared:

Some one should definitely help, am facing same problem trying to flash custom ROMS for a friend, I odin flashed stock ROM to it then rooted with "jeboo_kernel_i9100_v1-2a" and it was fine until my inability to flash any custom Rom through recovery. My only success comes from Wizzedkat ROM, cynogen 11 fails, omini fails, slime fails, resurrection kit Kat fails and many more fails with this status 7 error we need help on this
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
People,if you want to flash a kitkat rom,first update to kitkat compatible recovery!!!
And read the rom's OP!Twice!

Hi!
You have to flash a kernel that is KitKat compatible or you will not be able to install a KitKat ROM. Go to this link and choose the one for the KitKat version type you are trying to install:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/pacman-p-c-true-1-rom-t2203444.
Also make sure you have a KitKat compatible recovery.
