[Q] Help: install the ADT Plugin for Eclipse on Linux Mint

Hi Guys,
Trying to have an initial dabble into Android.
I am trying to follow the advice by cyanogen here .
When I try to install the ADT Plugin for Eclipse I get the following error.
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Android Development Tools 16.0.1.v201112150204-238534 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 16.0.1.v201112150204-238534)
Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 16.0.1.v201112150204-238534 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 16.0.1.v201112150204-238534) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found

I have tried installing it from
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
and
http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
And I have downloaded the jar file and tried to install it locally.
Every time I get the same error.
I have installed Eclipse JDT etc. via the Mint Software manager.
Any ideas please?

[SOLVED] Could someone download the Sonos apk for Intel?

Does anyone have a rooted, Intel-based android device that has access to the Play store? If so, could you download the 'Sonos Controller for Android' app and upload the apk here?
I'm trying to find a way to run a Sonos app on Ubuntu and the easiest route seems to be to run the Sonos Android app in an Android VM (because the Sonos Windows app no longer runs in Wine). I'll be running on Intel though so I need the apk that targets Intel architecture.
Many thanks!

How to install Gapps for Android TV x86

I installed an Android x86 TV from geektillithertz.com. I want to know what can I do with Gapps?
Same question here.
Thanks.
no Gapps
I also installed Nic's android TV x86 6.0.1 on my Intel machine that I built with only Intel HD graphics. The unit was working well with Remix OS and I had sound with external speakers, bluetooth/WIFI worked flawlessly. I decided to give the full Android TV image a try, but without Gapps this it is incomplete. The other issue is playback error with Android TV, which is now available >80 cities, I'm going to try to change to static IP and see if it fixes that issue and report back.
I know that this post is old, but if you continue need it you must install with ADB on wifi

Gapps TVstock installation on Android TV 7.1, how to do it?

hi, i trying to use the TVstock Gapps package on geek till it hertz's Android TV 7.1 Nougat for PC (build on Android x86)
i am unsure on how to proceed with the installation of the package
my hope is that others who want to make their own Android TV with Gapps will find this post useful and might make videos or more in depth tutorials on the subject
but at this current point, i don't know how to proceed
but this is a summery of what i currently have to work with
1. Android TV 7.1 running on VMWare Workstation 14 player NON ROOTED (couldn't get it working on actual hardware will solve that later, but as far as i know this shouldn't be different on actual hardware then on a virtual machine)
2. a USB (for transferring files and apks, there is no drivers for android to allow file copying, it also has no Ethernet capability so i have to use a USB wireless device to allow for a network connection)
i have tried rooting this device with various root methods, with no success, the opereating system seems to dismiss it, when i tried a terminal method, apps couldn't still see that i had rooted the device even when i remounted the system partition so i could write it to it, apps still couldn't see that the device was rooted
i want to try and get this done without rooting but i am happy to try again with other suggested rooting methods
thanks for reading and i hope you can help me and others with the same problem
