Hello all!
I couldn't find an answer to this question, so I try to ask here.
I have rooted my Xperia X10 mini pro, installed a recovery and a custom rom.
But I want to go back to the "clean" and unrooted state without any recovery, just like when you get the phone.
Can I just use SEUS to get back there, or will this kill the phone?
Yours Truly
konnichiwa!
SEUS will do the trick, if you haven't used SEUS and don't know how to go back to the original stock just PM me and I'll explain it
Good luck
So I guess you just reinstall the Android OS using SEUS like you would normally reinstall it? YES?
Will SEUS also do the trick with an unlocked bootloader and custom kernel?
(I have display issues and would like to send the phone back to the vendor, so I have to wipe any tracks of what I've done )

Yes, choose the repair option, it will flash the original kernel and firmware, don't forget you still have to manually relock your bootloader (use S1tool restore button).
Thanks, that worked!
After restoring with S1 tool I saw that in the pull down menu on the right side of the window there was "S1" chosen - instead of "X10". Does that matter? Everything was successful, as it seems, though...

Hi all, I've got the custom kernal with my cm 6.1.3 by wolfbreak. But how do you remove the custom kernal and back to the original without repairing the phone via Seus.
To get mine back to stock I used TripNKernel_BTS_02.zip (its in the forum somewhere I can't remember) what you need to know that this will remove xRecovery and the root on your phone, so you will need Flashtool or something similar to reinstall those. From there just make sure that you have the right baseband to go with your rom. good luck!

So basically its the same as reflashing the stock rom using pc companion or seus??
Yes, just another method thats all
here's the link, if you didn't find it

I want to restore kernel, bb, rom to stock. In seus it give's "there is no software update for your phone".
x10i
bb: .67
rom: 2.1 update 1
kernel: 2.6.29
It looks like stock but it's not. A lot of thins are messed up: when i receive a call the status bar is in the middle of the screen and I can't answer until i got rid of it, when i press the power button it doesn't lock the screen even though i selected even a pattern, when i use the volume keys in player the screen powers on, camera doesn't work, etc.
you will need to download flashtool and a stock rom and flash it through this.. it will take it back to whatever stock rom you use preferably 1.6, then use seus to update it and you will be back to your countries basic update
Sorry but how do u use a flash tool.. It will be helpful if u describe a bit..

Download tool....download any stock 2.1 version....install and use tool using the instructions in the thread to reinstall any of those 2.1 versions provided.
There should be a "repair software" option when it says you have the latest software. If not, try restarting computer. If that doesn't work, try removing and reinstalling SEUS.
I know how to use flash tool. But if I install a stock rom, it comes with stock kernel and bb?
I currently installed a custom rom (Achotjan's) and it is quite good. The only bad thing until now it's that there is no flash on camera (only third app).
Ty for answers.

That option is not always available on custom firmwares.
They either lack the build.prop info or the cust.prop info.
If neither is there SEUS or PCC won't be able to do anything.
HELP!!! after searching all the posts i cant find a fix for this, i was running Team Rom on my X10, decided to change to MIUI prime, for some reason my phone then wont boot up after reboot? just stays on SE logo,I tried the SE PC companion, and after running the update process there, it returned error: there is no software available for your phone at this time??
I cant find any reference to this anywhere online??
Has anyone come across or know of a fix??
Thanks in advance
Get Flashtool. Look in the dev section.
just flash back your original firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733 using Flashtool and redo the rooting back..back to your MIUI Rom flashing problem..did you read the cobrato method of flashing locked/unlocked bootloader?? if yes..after flashing the MIUI Rom completed using CWM5..immediately flash lockedBL.zip (i presume your X10 is locked)..then reboot
I had a similar problem, I screwed up flashing between roms and the phone wouldn't boot up. I ended up wiping everything, on phone and sd card. I really screwed up! I tried SEUS repair but it wouldn't let me, my bootloader is unlocked so that's why I suspect. In the end I flashed a stock 2.3.3 rom and went from there, all's good now. As for SEUS, even re locking the bootloader didn't help, something to do with DRM, not sure, at least flashtool is a life saver
you could always try the Update service from Sony, saved me a lot of times as that little gem
Flash back to 2.1 generic firmware using flashtool.
You'll need to find the 2.1 firmware on Google(its an xda thread). Then via flash tool flash that firmware. Now everything should work.
I hope you know how to put your phone in mto flashmode

Dear XDA developers,
I was tired of sony ericson servers being overloaded and thus being unable to update my phone, so I decided that I wanted to have CyanogenMod on it. I followed this tutorial http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Mini_Pro:_Full_Update_Guide and then I had a phone that kept showing me the startup animation of a droid with a spinning circle.
I had done the CWM backup before flashing as described by the tutorial. I've searched a lot on the internet and tried these tips to try to fix a bootloop:
- wipe cache
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe dalvik cache
- install update.zip (cyanogenmod) again
- restarted 100 times
In all kind of combinations, nothing helped.
Then next I wanted to just restore the backup I had made, so I pressed Restore and selected the backup. Rebooted the phone and the SE splashscreen showed up. Then the SE logo kept displaying for minutes. I connected the phone to Logcat in Eclipse (I'm an android developer) to see that the phone kept doing the same loop over and over again.
In all the steps I did I never rooted the phone, because the tutorial didnt say so. After reading a lot it felt like I should have rooted it first. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?
I now beg for you help to tell me what to do next? I have downloaded latest flashtool, I also have a working flashboot. I dont know what to flash/do anymore. I'm totally lost and the phone is looping forever. What should I do now?

reflash to stock FW using wootanserver.
...or you can just flash via fastboot prerooted kernel like Rage 2.4 for mini pro, and try everything again.

same problem
Guys I have the same problem, but I even rooted my phone, the CyanogenMod does start with the android on a skateboard and once the homescreen even came up but just rebooted straight after.
If I were to start all over with stock firmware how would I go on about doing that? Links?
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
Did you flash the kernel provided in the zip file?
Also, before restoring your previous backup try doing a full wipe, non just factory, but go into mounts&storage from cwm and hit the fortmat sstem and then tr restoring backup.
All files and knowledge neede to resolve the issue can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792

After a lot of research I found the solution, even though it takes me back to stock rom I'm happy
Basically I repaired it with pc companion, on the home screen --> clicked on start under Support Zone; then Start under Phone Software Update;
then on the pop up box I clicked repair phone (underlined in blue); { click Continue, check box, Next} and just follow on screen instructions and the phone is reset to factory settings :good:
However I still found my bootloader unlocked when I tried to install rom again, don't whether it stayed or because I also unlocked my simlock today too.
Anyway the rom still didn't work for me so had to repeat this process all over again
If anyone has a good tutorial for rooting a sony xperia mini pro and & installing a good rom on it pls let me know, my model's still on Gingerbread and it hogs the battery crazy.
Try thishttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688980
Or thistalk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
Hit thanks f I helped.

i made a nandroid backup before that, now i want to go back to stock rom,so i clicked restore in recovery and restored it.
but now my phone is not turning on,
did the kernel change caused this issue
please anyone help me
I read somewhere that if you want to go to stock rom, you have to re-lock bootloader. Try to search for more about it.

The restore only restores the rom, not the kernel, and the stock rom won't run on a custom kernel.
You either need to get a stock kernel to flash with flashtool or repair your phone using SEUS or PC Companion
The Backup will still be available for restoring, if you figure out how to install CWM on the stock kernel/rom
And there is NEVER a need to relock the bootloader, unless you want to send it for repairs under warranty.
other problem
cheers everyone.
i have an other problem with my u20i.
i think i made very bad, crappy ****. =/

i must say- everything is more than fine. after something like 10 hrs i really like it and tought i should test some other customs too.
but now my problem:
like above is wrote: i have the backup. but what i doesnt minded is- i need to restore my contacts..
normally i would say- okay. i will ask in facebook or something like this- but i have/had somethin ´bout 300contacts.
i thought the google-acc will add all my contacts if i log in( it does as i´ve used an other android-phone some weeks ago[the owner got all my contacts in his contacts-.-]) so- it doesnt adding them for now.
is there any way to restore just the contacts? i know- i should backup them seperately- but its too late now..
i looked around to open the ".img" data, but i only can burn them to disk.
i really dont want to restore the stock rom too get the contacts and backing them up otherwise.
hope you understand what i´m talking about.
mean-language is german- so ask if something isnt clear.
thanks everyone

Maybe you've got Auto-synchronisation turned off, so it won't sync your phone with your google-account automatically.
If all your contacts are still on your google-account (check with your pc) then syncing (Settings-Accounts and Synchronisation-Synchronise) should get them back on your phone.
If that doesn't work, restore your previous backup and maybe export your contacts to sd-card, then flash back your new rom and import your contacts from sd-card (in the contacts application, press the menu button and choose import-export)
You could go into CWM - backup and restore and do an advanced restore, which will put back all the settings and data from your original rom, but not all that may be compatible with your new rom, so it might cause more problems than it solves.
Those are your options, as far as I'm aware.
There is a way to 'decompile' the data.img of your backup, if you've got an Android-kitchen, which is for developers, but that's quite complicated, and i wouldn't know where to look for the contact-details that are stored there.
