random Market force closes
I can download and search just fine, but I randomly get FCs when I select "Allow Automatic Updating" or "Update All" ...other than that my Market works perfectly. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix?
Btw, running Global Generic, rooted, JiT enabled, in Canada on Rogers X10a.
having problem downloading from market as well. had try every possible fix.
download of angry birds and google map over 3g giving issues like download unsuccessful but when connect via wi-fi it works?! any idea?
I don't know if this will help but, back in 1.6 I had the "unable to download" error.
From the main screen I went to "menu key> Settings > Applications > Manage Applications", then found the Market App and used the "remove updates", "clear cache" and "force stop" options. Next time I oppened the market it was working fine.
PS-> the option names ware translated from portuguese and may not be exactly what you'll find on the eng version.

Just got back my phone from vodafone repair centre, had the motherboard replaced due to constant reboot when updated to 2.1 anyway just try downloading from market and still facing issues like "download paused" guess it has nothing to do with the phone but vodafone 3G network itself.
I just installed aura debloat 1.2.2.1. The phone (Atrix 4G) boots up fine but I can't:
purchase any paid apps in android market. It says "An error has occurred, please try again"
Please help !!!
Some log messages ...
So I was looking into the logs on the phone via LogCollector and I found some interesting lines that might have been the cause:
Caught SecurityException: caller uid XXXXX is different than the authenticator's uid
Maybe the new market app that comes with aura debloat 1.2.2.1 has some kind of UID mismatch with device settings ?!
The Aura thread is where you should be asking this question, but I've never had a problem with buying and/or downloading/installing any paid apps via the Market.
Responded in the Aura Thread.
hi there. one of my very few apps-related questions in the forum...
just recently Market "My Apps" tab returns a 'no connection' error constantly.
this also affects downloading any free app from the main Market tab.
I am in China and market access is restricted here anyway, but in the past I could get the free apps available, could update my previously installed apps, and with "paid apps enabler" and VPN i could access the US-market.
however, now recently, market does not let me access "my apps" at all. and i can't install or update apps
does anybody have a clue why this is? did China suddenly block it? did Gmail put new security measures in place to ban updates in China?
i already wiped and re-setup the device, but problem persisted
thanks
EDIT:
wiped it completely and did not restore apps from Titanium.
I think restoring Titanium backed-up apps with data was the culprit....
solved

Good that you updated your thread with solution for your issue. This would be of helpful for those who face similar issue like yours.
Hi.
I am using the last CM9 based rom that OaT released before he discontinued.
I have to say that all is great except for what I started to notice the last couple of days.
I have my SD card with about 4GB free space left (this is a 32GB unit). My app manager shows about 600MB free space left in the /data.
Recently, I have allowed my 4 year old to use the TP to play games and read books on. So I started installing some apps. I want to say that I installed about 20 or so book apps and about 10-15 or so Babybus apps... I moved the book apps to SD and there is still plenty free space showing.
But now, when I attempt to install a new app, I get an error and it will not finish the installation. It downloads the apk file from market, starts to install and then I get a installation failed message. It says that there is a parsing error. Soon, I was getting the same errors for apps that are already on the device but are being updated... parsing error. The thing is, if I remove few of the apps, it seems to complete the install of the new app just fine.
I do not believe there is a limit to how many apps can be installed. It should be however many can fit in the storage... but with, what it seems to be an ample amount of free space, why am I getting these errors? I used to see parsing errors if I attempted to install tablet specific apps to a phone, for example, but what is going on?
Can any one help?
Thanks.
My daughter's cell phone has very small internal memory and trying to generate more free space inadvertently uninstalled the default apps Gmail and Android Market. I tried installing some apk PlayStore and I get the error: "force close" and with another .apk I could installed it, but when I open it, it tells me that I have to add an account. When clicked on yes(to add) then, the application closes automatically.
What I can do to recover these default apps?
Thanks and regards, Fernando.
Note: The phone has Android 2.1 and the model is: Flipside MB508 AT&T USA (with Motoblur)
