I've tried several sense 3.5 roms hydro-bliss etc and I get stuck at the splash screen. Is it something I'm doin wrong?

What is you hboot?? If its 1.50 then you have to flash the rom through fastboot and not recovery. Any 3.5 rom would require the kernel to be updated and you can't flash a kernel through recovery if you have hboot 1.5.
1.5 can flash kernels.

Can you guys make this a little more clear?
bc heres MY issue. I have hboot 1.5 and I havent been abke to flash ANY new roms, including MIUI and 3.5 roms etc. I can still flash back to my nandroids of stock, and Virus Infected, but I cant go to any new roms.
This really sucks because im a flashaholic. can you please help me with this issue, OR tell me how to flash a 3.5 rom in any other way?

when i try flashing bcblend kernel and also Rcmix kernel my shooter wont boot up all the way, it go's to the htc screen then turns off??? on offf on off on off?? i dont understand?? maybe them kernels dont like my phone?? any thoughts? thanks
What rom are you using, you have to make sure the kernel is compatible with your rom. Especially, 2.3.3 roms and 2.3.4 roms cannot mix kernels.
im using Infectedrom Eternity?? i thought thats a good rom to run wit rc kernel?? im using twrp 2.0 recovery.. i got 1.40 hboot.. rooted wit revol??
After finally getting the OTA radio and hboot installed this weekend I now seem to have trouble getting any of the ICS ROMS to install... CleanROM 2.2sp1 gives me an error in fastboot then hangs up on the HTC screen, RezROM ICS v1.2 also hangs up on the HTC Screen... CleanROM 1.6 GB is the only ROM I've gotten to work since installing the OTA. Any ideas where I may be doing wrong?
Sounds like you havent installed the ICS kernel accompanying those ROMs you tried.
Also you're going have mainver issues since a few of these ICS roms use the stock mainvers. Somewhere in dev thread there's a way to change the version of the mainver, and you'll be able to install ICS roms again

I thought those two particular ROMS installed their kernels afterwards in fastboot....

all sorts of members have been posting that they have hboot 1.50 with dev unlocked and are easily flashing ics sense 3.6 roms without installing the virgin mobile firmware.. i havent had such luck... and i cant figure out why. i have tried both the fastboot bypass method and also buying the EXT4 recovery and installing through that as well....nothing works....rom boots up and one the setup screen comes on ...it freezes and boot loops .... can some one that has flashed the new sense roms with hboot 1.50 please help me ...and tell me what ive missed or done wrong...
Same problem here, been told I need to downgrade hboot to 1.4 and s-off...too much of a noob for that! Lol

I had the same problem as you guys. Try flashing the rom and chad's ics leak kernel in 4ext recovery and see if that does it. This worked for me.
thanx

Is there something similar for GSM?
Hello! I have unlocked BL, and I installed the mysense-dx rc 3.5 on my DX, with the attached kernel.
Yesterday, I try to flash mysense-dx5 rc 4.0, without the kernel. I wiped, flashed the ROM and after the HTC logo, it shows a black screen. I didn't flash the kernel attached to mysense dx 5, I used the rc3.5's kernel. The same happened with InsertCoin, too. The problem is with the kernel? But they wrote, these ROMs shuld work on every kernel. Can it be another problem?
Are you S-ON or S-OFF? Probably S-ON. If so, flash the kernel manually. Take the kernel (boot.img) out of the ROM-zip. Use the search on XDA to find out how to flash with fastboot.
But they wrote, the mysense dx5 shuld work on every kernel. So why it doesn't work on rc3.5's kernel??

Just give it a try, as suggested. I still don't know if you are S-ON or S-OFF. What HBoot version do you have?
I'm S-ON and I have JB bootloader(1.25xxx)

Then the solution for you is to flash the kernel manually because of S-ON. Again: to start, best is to flash the kernel which comes with the ROM.
Maybe the problem is that you use an ICS kernel (v3.5) for a JB ROM (v.4)
Thanks. But if I take a nandroid backup from my current rom and my current boot, than flash the sense 5 ROM and the kernel and i don't like the new ROM, can I restore the previous ROM and the boot? Sorry for stupit questions, but i restored the system a lot of times, but I'm not sure I can restore the boot, because S-ON. Can I restore?

You can restore the ROM-image. I don't remember well if the kernel gets restored also. Most of the time I flash the kernel manually. If you are on JB, use JB-recovery and JB-ROM/kernel.
Advise: stick to S-ON and learn to use fastboot-command for flashing kernel. It is just 1 DOS-command, clean and safe. Don't mess around with old software which tells you that 'it is very easy to use'.
Interesting forum: this one and this one, read #5.
