Same here. what I did as a workaround was:
just delete the dsp mgr apk and its dex file. Get a dsp mgr apk from xda itself. Paste it in system/app
the dsp mgr I got was an ancient version, without preset equalizers. But at least its working.
same with me also.

Ok this might be a stupid question but is there anyway to make this work on the mytouch 4g ? I moved from the vibrant to the 4g and I really dont want to use a normal task killer . I really liked how this worked . Thanks in advance !
Will this work on axura 2.2.5.7?
Update: I tried to install this but it didn't work. :-(

I downloaded and installed it right from this thread....didn't use root explorer. What is the correct way to install this, if mine was wrong.

Root Explorer or adb push to /system/app. Don't try to install like a normal app.
I just installed root explorer. Is this [LINK] a good tutorial on how to use RootExplorer... I couldn't find a step by step tutorial on xda.
root explorer is easy to use.
its just like using the stock files, but you can see other things that require root.
if your installing a app, and it won't let you install by just clicking it, then you go to the file, menu, copy/move, then go to system/app/ then paste/move it there, and then get out of that app, and in your app drawer, the app should be installed.
I'm running Cyanogen Mod on my Vibrant, and trying to get this APK installed. Using Root Explorer, I copied/pasted the APK to the system/app directory, but this didn't do anything.
Other things I tried:
- Opening all permissions to the APK that is in the system/app directory
- Rebooting
- Verifying that "allow non-market apps" is checked
- Using Root Explorer to browse to app, selecting it and choosing "install"
Nothing is working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this an incompatibility between the Task Manager "JobManager.apk" and Cyanogen?
Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.

More than likely, its an incompatibility issue between I'm assuming a 2.2 ROM and a CM7 which is 2.3.

Can someone pls tell how to fix tried to enter app and has been force closing ever since also no audio on any app or program
help please
I had same problem. Used Titanium Backup to uninstall DSP. Rebooted and audio worked.
thanks for the response but i uninstalled DSP via titanium back and rebooted still nothing hoping that i can find a fix, aslo re flashed rom and no change was working perfectly fine untill i tried to open DSP uggggggghhhhh
any other ideas guys
bump help pls
Try uninstalling your current DSP Manager, move the one attached to /system/app using root explorer, reboot into recovery, fix permissions, then reboot normally. I pulled the attached version from 7.0.3, but sound worked with it when I was on 7.0.3, and it fixed the sound for me when I was having the same issue on 7.1 RC1, so it's worth a shot.
Thanks ill give it shoot this eve!
^^^^^^^^^ good call. This worked for me too. For both 7.0.3 and 7.1 RC1.
Well i messed around with market in Titanium backup, hit the option 'Mover toRom" or something
The market app was first in queue, then my phone shutdown during the moving
And there was no market app anymore -_-
So i installed manually the Android 3.1.1 apk, and whenever i try to download an app it crashes and i have to force close it from the dialog box
I tried re installing and uninstalling , wiping the cache of market
Still it no work :/
I really really don't want to do a reflash , but if it comes down to that then yeah
Thanks for all your help guys
Move market system/app partition and use rom manager fix permissions.

Super user force closes whenever i try to access its preferences(settings).

THANKS IN ADVANCE
Here is an AngryGPS apk
You have to push to
/system/app and fix permissions.

No tickee, no laundry!

You were just sliced bread before you were burnt by the toaster.

Go to manage apps>all>angrygps and clear data, force stop and reboot.
???
ok i force stopped it but it says there is no data like at all :/
edit: didnt work still FCs maybe i did something wrong?
OK its possible that is a bad copy or something, try this one
http://db.tt/Bo8wgvJz
Move it to /system/app
Fix permissions to
rw-r--r--
Or
644
Or
x x -
x - -
x - -
Its all the same, then reboot
???
I use LbsTestMode. To have access to it (it's hidden) install the launch app. No need to push them to system, install like a normal apk. Works well on JB and have some more functions than AngryGPS.
cool!!
