Hey forum
Im new to this and wanna know whats the best rom for the 3g version of this tab
Thx in advance
Using overcome experience rom. Works like a charm with my Telia tab You can also try the persoot kernel if you fancy that.
is there a reason some roms only works with wifi?

Yeah, I have a wifi only tab model P7510 so it has its own builds. So I can use wifi only Roms. If you try the same roms you'll lose the 3G capability. So look out for build KME and wifi only in the rom name since those are going to lose the 3G for you.

Dude, just try them. Everyones experience is going to be different. This belongs in q&a anyway, even though there it would be a waste of space as well.

Hey all, just got myself a Galaxy Tab 10.1, i came on here to scope out some themes and discovered there are a whole lot more than that here. I see alot of custom ROMS on here, can someone please recommend me.. are there any noticeable performance gains from it? thanks!

+1 for In Paris ROM. About to start working on my own though
I don't think there is any question that "In Paris" is the way to go. Both Task and Phantom have individually made VERY competitive ROMs. Together, they are like a rock band supergroup except for Android.

Well it depends on what exactly you're looking for .
If you want the latest firmware and don't care about a few glitches and the camera, I'd definitely recommend the 3G ICS preview.
If you're okay with HC (everything works there) you can choose between the 3G ROMs - The Overcome Experience, BinDroid or Ganbarou.
I've tried them all and I've personally found The Overcome Experience to be the best one for me (at least until I went to ICS ). It's quite smooth, it's stable and it has more and more themes available (just search the themes and apps par of the forums). I found Ganbarou to be quite similar to Overcome, but it doesn't have as many themes (does it have any?). BinDroid comes prethemed, but I didn't really test it that much (just had it on for a day or two).
If you don't care about your 3G, you could also go for any of the WiFi ROMs - for HC ROMs most people go with Galaxy Task, and of course you have the WiFi only ICS preview (more or less same as the 3G preview) and Roman's AOKP ICS ROM (similar to the ICS previews but with added options/functionality).
But if you really want to be sure, go around and test them all . Just remember to do a nandroid backup before!
Happy flashing!
Hey guys, I'm tired of going up and down the development section looking for some good stock rom kernels.
Does anyone know any good ones? I just tried out the battery extender one RC2.2 and got some reboot issues.
I'm using stocklite V6. I'm trying to see if I can get rid of the little data connection problem I have. Not switching roms because this is the only one I've used that gets me a full 12 hrs on 3G.
Well i guess the CF-ROOT is only the stable one bro. Haven't seen any other stable version in progress for stock.

I get connection problems with Cf-root so I can't keep it :/.
If I wanted to stay with it, I wouldn't have started this thread or looked for any new ones.
Guys whatever we do or use any damn rom or script. The truth is we have weak battery so we have to live with it.

Ummm no no no buddy. Rom depends A LOT. How the hell do I get 12hrs on 3G with Stocklite but I never got past 5 hrs on ANY CM rom I've used? Scripts I know don't do anything because I've tried almost every one out there and they all just give the placebo effect.
hi guys,
does ayone can tell me which ROM can be good for my Hongkong version N7005? Galaxy Note LTE?

As we are using ICS ROMs based on the official firmware for your phone , I'm pretty sure you would be good to use all the ROMs made for the at&t note...The only difference being the hardware for NFC.
You should definitely be able to flash Padawan and Blackstar as they are based on your current ROM and currently do not have any code for NFC.
I'm not sure about jb based ROMs as they would have code for NFC hardware and I'm not sure how your phone would react...although I'm sure I did read about someone in Singapore with your version of note being able to use all of the ROMs on this forum...
Sir,
I m new to N7005. Are these 2 links?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907203
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676086
Further Question, N7005 4G frequency are 1800/ 2600 GHz which are different from original i717. Is it safe to flash to have 1800/ 2600 GHz too?

Those are the two I am talking about...neither one of them currently has a modem in their flashable so...as far as I know....your existing modem will not change if you flash them and you should still have service on the bands you mention..
Both are good after viewing comment. Which one do you recommend for stable, power saving and less FC? I saw youtube that both are snappier.
I installed lots of game apps.

I am on Padawan and am loving it! Blackstar was just as good but I was not so much into the black and white theme..
Padawan size is 46xM and Blackstar's is 70xM which needs to take 3 hours to DL. It is obvious I try Padawan first

You know..I have never once used a benchmark to judge a rom..For me stability comes first, followed by battery life and finally features...smoothness of the interface is nice but it ranks far down on my list..
Sir, How to set ringtone and notification tone? The music player doesnt have such function.

Sir,
Dont you have kernel to flash? I feel the rom is a bit lag for sometime. The power consumption cant be achieved as this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1539675&d=1354742513
