Is there anyway or is it possible to install Canada version T959 v2.3.3 on T-Mobile T959?
I am using TeamWiskey NextGen v2 with Voodoo enable. How can I do it if possible.
http://pages.samsung.com/ca/androidupgrade/English/
Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G SGH-T959 (Android 2.3.3)
Not as is. It's not the same as the Tmo Vibrant. It's basically the same as the i9000 I believe so you may as well install one of the i9000 ports we have here.
Would this be an indicator that the T-Mobile 3G Vibrant will be getting the upgrade?

Probably not... The Samsung Captivate gets Gingerbread 2.3.5 via leak but doesn't look like T-Mobile and Samsung are going to shine that light this way.

That sucks!! I would like to switch to GB, but I can not live with the crappy 12 hour battery life on the current ROMs. With the 2.2 & 2.2.1 ROMs, I get around 20 hours.

Not with any GB ROM I have tried. I currently get 16 hour of use, going from 100% down to 50%. If I could get that with any GB ROM, let me know what is the best ROM and any settings I would need to setup.

I have build that version to work on Vibrant.
It works but is Official build no root no nothing, clean install with telus kernel and all the staff.
You need GB bootloader though.
Are you interested?
Its 233mb that why i am asking, i have 1024kb upload speed on perfect conditions so not easy to upload it and in the time new builds have 2.3.7

I disagree, I have been running MIUI for about a month now and I get a good day or so before charging; and that's with moderate usage of the phone
If your going to install it your gonna want to flash the sgh-t959D (fascinate 3g+) version. Your going to hard brick if you flash the 4g version.

It is the OTA 2.3.3 sgh-t959D (fascinate 3g+) non rooted just as it is bootloader removed etc so no bricks
If you want to root it you must go in fascinate thread and find the root for it, its there follow that it wll work because everything on this are stock.

Hey Guys. I have been out of the loop for a while with all these new ROMS that keep on coming out. Does anyone have any good recommendations on any ROMS?
The one i'm using right now is: Bionix Frost by Team Whiskey 2.2.1
Whats the deal with these CyanogenMod7 Roms that are out now? Any good?

At the moment all gingerbread roms have a buggy gps.
Saying that, my favorite is CM7 as it completely leaves samsung based TouchWiz instead opting for the much quicker AOSP base.
Simply Honey 3.9.1 is killer man. Its Gingerbread 2.3.4 and you can overclock it to 1.2ghz. The GPS works pretty damn good too. To me there is no better Rom out there.

I'm sorry, but when I flashed Simply Honey (CWM& Odin version) it always came out laggy. I'm not really sure what the big hype of that ROM is about, yes I was a fan of the Simply Honey back in the day when it was 2.2.1, but its either I'm having a bad flash or the ROM doesn't want to run on my phone.
My vote goes to bi-winning V3. Its a 2.2.1 rom and its absolutely blazing on my phone, and zero issues.
Bi-winning V3
the following two roms are stable fast and very nice battery life...

or

Malice 4. Works very nicely for me. CM7 had a tendency to trash my external SD card. Maybe it was me, though...
Take a look at the one in my signature. The Toxic Muzic one. Stable, with tons of theming support. Great battery life too with Bali-X.
Malice v4 FTW check it is amazazing (misspelled on purpose) great battery and speed and the only bug i seem to have is with the gps it works.... when it wants too...

This was my experience with it as well, which is why I'm always surprised that it's so highly regarded. I even flashed it a second time after trying other roms just to see if I was mistaken but yeah, a laggly, clucky rom for me. CM7, MIUI, Asgard, etc, were all much more responsive in my experience.
Well i just owned my phone . The phone will not boot into anything.

You know I hate it when people flash something as important as bootloaders and don't read the whole OP, if you read the whole OP, you would know that there is different button mapping.
There's a plethora of roms out now on gingerbread and I was just curious about what you guys think is your favorite GB rom.

how much battery life do you get with that? I might try it out if it gets over like 15 of moderate use. I need to have my phone last at least that much to call my carpool after a workday.
I cant stand the jvp,q,r roms, i only do gb with cm7 roms cause ive tried samsung roms and they were all laggy and unstable and not even that much faster than froyo... cm7 got rid of all those issues....

Miui fan here, tried a few others but the stability and eye candy of Miui keeps me coming back. Battery life is so/so depends on your 3g usage, I don't OC/UV so i use miui stock, not revamped.

I've tried "via sd card" in CWM. No luck.
I've tried via ODIN and can't find the 512pit (maybe it was 512tar) file to flash (it's on my desktop).
Is there an install guide for noobs somewhere?

You're really not going to get a GB rom (2.3.4. 2.3.5, 2.3.6 and 2.3.7) with GPS that works like a charm for the Vibrant.
In general GPS is OK at best on the Vibrant even with Froyo roms

I have been using Miui a few months now and EVERYTHING works great. From, GREAT GPS, 20+ on Linpack, 2300+ on Quadrant, 3MB+ download speeds and NO FC's...Following all the help others have given, so might I suggest you look at your installing as the issue.
PM me if you are still having issues, as a stock Vibrant worked without having to know all the ways to increase the "fun" so you might go back to stock and still see if there is an issue with the phone itself.

has anyone done this yet? i want to stay on ICS, but ever since the ICS firmware that i got when it first leaked, the battery has gone to ****. i see some people getting crazy battery life still on GB firmware but running ICS roms, so i'm wondering, where can i go to get the GB firmware back? if i were to flash that RUU or whatever (with s-off), then restore my nandroid from right now, would that restore my ICS firmware, or would that be good?

I recently did flash back to the newest ICS leak so I could quit having to flash patches . I only have 3g though, and use wifi at home so your use will definately vary than mine .

Well this week im trying out clean rom gb. Last few weeks I was on the pokemon rom.
I get an easy 14 hr day with 3-4 hrs screen time and close to 5 if I'm lucky.. But you gotta take into account a few things if you want this kind of life:
1. I have debloated and desensed very extremely
2. I don't EVER use task killers. More harm than good
3. On incredikernel and have uc/uv
4. I use watchdog and autostart manager to watch my cpu usage.
If I didn't do this stuff my screen time would only be around 3hrs which is still great but I just like to push it
