I recently installed X-Power XWKI8 1.0 rom, one of the removed aplications is the swipe keyboard. I tried reinstalling it from de pack of applications that the developers of the rom offer with no succes, it just doesnt appear as an option. I tried restoring it with titanium backup, it does resotre it but it gives me an error every time i tried to use it.
Anybody had de same problem and found a way to fix it? i searched in the official post and didnt find anything to solve the problem

Don't restore from titanium backup, even if it works it'll probably FC.
I used the X-Power additional apps and it works no problem here....

Hello,
Got the 'apps stuck on installing' problem with the Market on new 2.1 firmware. I've read in other posts that it's possible to fix this by clearing the Market cache and data. However, on the X10 it's only possible to clear the Market cache and this doesn't seem to fix it.
Anyone found another way to fix (because I stupidly uninstalled the 'stuck' apps from the Apps Management settings menu and now I can't reinstall them )?
Generally enjoying 2.1, though (Angry Birds! )
Thanks!
I had this happen last week with a number of apps (all stuck at "Installing") at once. There was no option to cancel, and rebooting didn't help. Eventually, I just re-flashed my firmware (and added JIT to boot).
Knock on wood... so far so good.
errase all data of google, restart. click on market put ur data , must be fix it. thats wut i did

I tried deleting the Google account from within 'Settings->Accounts & Sync' but the X10 told me that other apps were using this account and the only way to remove it was to factory reset the phone. How did you erase all your Google data?

I was really hoping not to have to do that - it's taken a while to get the X10 running something like I want it after the 2.1 update
Download the apk from somewhere else of the thing you installed thats stuck and install it. That restarted the one I accidentally uninstalled while updating it
In my case fixed with reflashing, nothing else was helpful

Have you rooted your X10? If so, make sure ou install and use Titanium Backup. If you keep your backups up-to-date, re-flashing is a minor inconvenience as you can restore (almost) everything to the way it was.
No, I've not rooted it. Generally I just use the phone and apps and don't try to do anything too techy with it. Is it still worth rooting (apart from to use Titanium Backup?)
Hi,
I've got an Archos 43 IT with dual boot UrukDroid 1.5 and the stock fw. I had the latest version of the market running there (+market fix, installed by arctools) and all worked just fine. But since a few days ago the market only shows very few apps (like 2-3 each section) in both (stock and ud). When I try to install apps over the official market-homepage, I get the message like this (translated): "This App isn't compatible to your Archos A43-Device."
What can I do here? Does anyone have the same problem?
A few days ago in another post I read about a pro here, who managed to replace the file which told the market, that it is an A43 by an other one (i think, it was a samsung galaxy), but I can't find the thread/post anymore. I guess this should solve my problem, but I don't know which file it was, anymore.
Does anyone know, which post this was (link)/which file?

You can change the setting at content filtering to show all app.
For market app, you may reinstall it from arctools.
Hi,
thanks for your reply.

Do you mean in the settings-menu under "select level"? All the checkboxes are activated with me.

I tried but it's the same as before.

EDIT:
I even tried applying the fix again but it didn't work
EDIT 2:
I now managed to find the post I mentioned in my first post. It was here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11113696&postcount=3
But when I tried modifying my /system/build.prop, I was very surprised to see, it already had the galaxy-footprint, the line containing Archos was only put as a comment (Does this come by UrukDroid as default?). So this doesn't seem to work either...
I am still having the same problem I've tried everything i can think of fix unfix un reinstall edit build.prop and i think posted on the other thread you mentioned. And I'm having the same problem on my stock installation too. Anyone else have any ideas.

I now managed to get the fingerprint of a Motorola somewhat... (ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.2/FRG01B/45394:user/release-keys)
Doesn't seem to do any change... Do I have to do anything to apply the changes in the build.prop? I tried reboot, clearing cache and data of the market and the google-services-framework. Anything else I have to do?
So, I got all the apps back . What I did was the following:
First I switched my fingerprint back to the Galaxy one. After that I rebooted my device and went to (the menu-points are translated by me, so it might not be the exact name) Settings -> Applications -> manage Applications -> Market -> Clear Cache, Clear Data, Force Stop.
Does this work for you as well, jared?

This happened after I flashed VillainROM 3.0. Now I'm unable to download or update any apps via Market, it would give "Error downloading app_name. Please try again at a later time." . Sometimes I can install them from the web, but NEVER through the phone. There are also discrepencies, e.g I have Astro uninstalled, the market app says I don't have it installed (but I can't download), but on the web it says I have it installed and I can't install it again.
I have tried clearing caches of everything relevant and irrelevant, flashing different roms, even restoring CWM backup and titanium backup, nothing seems to help. I have deleted .android_secure folders, but I can't find any smdl2tmp1.asec files anywhere. Some of my apps just show up as grey icons, but some I'm able to see them and use them. Clicking on the grey icons would just crash TouchWiz. I look into Applications under settings and I see lots of "com.app_name.something_else" I tried deleting those but it doesn't seem to help.
I'm at my wits end and am really considering getting a new SGS2 if this doesn't get fixed I would really appreciate any help

Already tried that, even on stock roms the problem is still there.
Hello,
Well, im not new to custom roms. I think im pretty experienced with it. But i found no solution for my Problem yet.
I tried many Roms for my Ace, but with some I have the problem, when I try to install an app, the Market says my device is not supported.
With other Roms it works perfectly.
For example:
I tried the Miracle Rom V2 based on CM7.2: Everything works Perfectly.
Now I tried Miracle Rom V3 based on CM7.2, too: For example Maps, Mail, SoundHound and many many other Apps are not Possible to install. "Not Supported".
Thank you for your help
try to replace it with another rom.....

lol, thats not the answer id like to hear^^
there must be a reason for that problem. It isnt solved with just installing another rom
try another version for map etc
for me anything work perfect
i use miracle v3

"hear what people say..respect other member bro"
yes of course i could.
But there are many many other Apps which doesnt work, where i cant download another version very easy.
For example "heise", its a german computer magazine. I cant download the app and i dont know where i can download it. It would be hard work to search for any app, i cant install, for other versions
Edit:
Success. A reinstallation of the rom solved it. Weird problem. Does anybody have an idea where it comes from?
2nd Edit:
Too early. Still problems..
Most problems on first install are commonly solved by applying wipes before and after installation.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA
Im still having the same problems. But everytime i try with different Apps.
I tryed a full wipe, before and after flashing.
I even formatted everything before and after installation.
This thing is really annoying!
Problem is solved!
For anyone having the same problem:
I used a density modder to change the display resolution to 140. That makes the market to no-know the phone, because it has the wrong resolution.
Solution:
I bought "LCD Density Modder Pro" from Market to change the Density. Then I activated the option "Fix Market Compability Issues" which installs a modified Market.apk to make the market think the phone still has the resolution 160
I'm having same issue. All the apps on my phone say this is not compatible with your device!
Rooted my phone 2 days ago, everything else stock!
Hi,
Well, this is my first post so I don't know if it's well placed, I hope it is because I couldn't find anywhere else I could place it, let me cut right to the chase:
I'm having a single problem with the Jellybam rom (3.3.0 stable) and it is the YouTube app which won't start due to a FC. I searched the official thread, the official webpage, other S2 webs and did not find any link to a fix or tutorial. If anyone could guide me on this I would appreciate
Before Jellybam I was running the Resurrection Remix rom and I used a Titanium Backup to restore my apps, settings, etc, but I didn't restore the YouTube app or its settings (I think this might be an important information). I also have already fixed permissions twice, reinstalled the app, erased its data.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I managed to solve the problem by uninstalling the YouTube app from Titanium Backup and restoring my old backup, I uninstalled the 4.2.16 version and installed the 4.1.23 instead.
