Just sharing the new leaked android market. I try to install and dont work for me, feel free to try.
From the site:
New setting: Auto-update apps (presumably, sets all apps to auto-update mode, woohoo!)
New setting: Update over Wi-Fi only
New setting: Auto-add shortcuts (automatically adds homescreen shortcuts for new apps, ala Honeycomb)
Smaller font
New app drawer icon
Microphone (voice command) button in search menu
Star rating chart on app pages
Minor UI tweaks
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/1...te-update-over-wi-fi-only-shortcuts-and-more/
It works for me...
I've renamed the apk to vending.apk and I've put this in system/app
permissions : rw-r--r--
Sorry for my bad english

yes it works you must have rooted your phone
i copied Gallery3D.apk from my x10i to my x10 mini pro on sdcard, with root eplorer copied into system/app ( sure you mount rw) and set permissions to 644 (user read-write,group read, others read)
and with adw launcher i put a shortcut on my screen
long press on screen, other short command, Select Activity, Activities, scroll to galerie and choose it, now you have a short cut for 3d gallery
download gallery3D.apk from here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826849
better download GalleryFixedCamera.apk frome here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829571 thanks sanjay_bandaru
now you can launch the app fom app drawer on your homelauncher and you can launch camera directly
and look for a nice black theme, http://www.mobil-talk.de/android/6857-theme-mini-goes-black.html worked too, thanks to Bueffel
sry for bad english
I've been "reading" (I don't speak German) the black theme thread, but I don't know what files I have to download for my x10 mini (not pro) with android 2.1 (nordic firm).
Can anyone help me?
basically the last 2 added (which you could have imagined by name 2.0.xxxxx^^)
i think in order to change the most things framework does the job
to get fully black theme you'll need to change the apps as well.
change it as descrebed here in the forum section as any other theme as well
greets Mo
Great find on that black theme. Personally its better than the blue theme but just to black here and there for my liking. I find pulpoff and draco_ag's theme for the 1.6 (hopefully to be ported to 2.1) more pleaseing to the eye a tad greyer here and there. But i appreciate the work done

Anyway to get this working with the default launcher?
Anyway to get this working with the default launcher?
@ abhi98228 hmm for me all worked, no problem with market.
@iphonepimp what working with default launcher? 3d Gallery? Check the GalleryFixedCamera.apk on my first post, it worked.
I like the gallery... but there is one bug with the detailsbutton... it's to big (the button on top if you choose a image).
I copy a smaler picture from the apk over the big detailbutton to fix this, but can't resign the apk correctly. I attached my apk (you have to remove the old app, then install the new apk) and the smaler image. perhaps someone can correctly resing the apk with the image.
Thanks for the new apk. works well.
This is nice thanks a lot!

Hi Everybody!
So....I can't stand anymore the SE def. apps! Too Much Blue!
Now, i want to ask users of the forum what app do you use instead of the SE crapware Apps. In the detail:
- HomeScreen
- Contacts
- Calls
- Messages
- Browser
- File Manager
- Music
- Camera/Album
My Config:
- HomeScreen --> Simple Home (Search in Market, very useful, only 3-4 MB of RAM)
- Contacts --> Stock SE (I want To Replace with another app ASAP!!!)
- Calls --> Stock SE (I want To Replace with another app ASAP!!!)
- Messages --> Stock SE (I want To Replace with another app ASAP!!!)
- Browser --> Opera Mini 5.1.1
- File Manager --> AndroZip Pro (4 Zip & Rar Files is excellent!)
- Music --> TinyPlayer (Search in Market...uses 3-4 MB of Ram)
- Camera/Album --> Stock SE (I hate it! if you open only Camera or Album, it opens both....grrr!!!)
I'd Like to have stock Contacts, Messages and PhoneBook (even Ported from another QVGA phone...)
I even install MenuUnlock (Paid)...like in 1.6, in fact, it can unlock phone by pressing Menu Button!
Thanks in Advance!!!
for contacts i use this : www.contapps.com (search it on market "contapps")
Anyone know of an App to block adverts? I used to use Adfree Android on my Galaxy S but doesnt seem to be supported with this version
Cheers
For messages you can't beat Handcent SMS
If I use some app for contacts, like contapps, can I remove default contact apk? Its a sh*t SE app. And I wold like to substitute it with stock 2.1 app. Do somebody know where I can find it?
- HomeScreen - LauncherPro+ (menaged to replace SemcHome.apk without any errors)
- Contacts - Contapps (didnt try to replace default SE app)
- Calls - Stock SE app
- Messages - Handcent SMS (menaged to replace Conversations.apk without any errors)
- Keyboard - Scandinavian Keyboard (its just the name, it have English input)
- Browser - Skyfire browser ((menaged to replace Browser.apk? without any errors) it plays flash, because browser routes traffic through its own servers that pre-render flash and assorted other things before delivering it to the browser).
- File Manager - Root explorer (gives you R/W permissions to root folder) or Astro File Manager
- Music - Stock SE app
- Clock - SiMi Clock Widget (menaged to replace DigitalClock.apk without any errors)
- Stock Lock Screen - WidgetLocker Lockscreen
- Camera/Album - Gallery3D (FixedCamera button version) (search forum or google "GalleryFixedCamera.apk")
P.S. Dont try to replace or delete Camera app (SemcCamera.apk?), you will end up unable to take a photo.
(whenever i put ? it means i forgot correct name of that apk)
Icons Gingerbread Nexus S Edition.
If anyone try to replace stock apps with custom ones im not responsible if you get a error or end up in endless boot cycle, since you will, most likely, start getting a error.
After many tries i menage to make it work, but trust me, it not worth so much time, flashing and reediting everything else. i menage to do it, but im not holding any responsibility if anyone try it and fails.
Edit:

Your phone must be rooted and you need Root Explorer installed. Before anything you do backup your data using xRecovery or Titanium Backup. Start Root Explorer and go to /system/app folder, mount r/w rights (read/write) and find SemcContacts.apk. You can try to replace it with app that you wanna use, just move to SDcard or delete SemsContacts.apk and put app that you wanna use as replacement (i would personally rename that app to "SemcContacts", long press on it and edit it permissions to 644 (644 permissions), reboot and that is. I didnt tryed, i just explained you how to replace it.
More easily is to just install normally contact app that you wanna use and hide stock one (LauncherPro have option to hide icons in app drawer) down side to this is when you use custom contact app your stock app is run in background (at least its like that for me), thus eating your memory. Thats why im trying to find a way to replace as many stocked apps as i can.
Hello, after trying several apps I end up with the following "main" applications:
GO Launcher,
GO SMS and
Youlu Adress Book (combines contacts and caller + cool widget with missed call reminder, give it a try)

I had Adfree on my mini (search for adfree in market) thats how I found it..
but now I just use this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893741
I love this tool!! and it can update your host file (which is all Adfree does)
-Handsent SMS (I don't write a lot of SMS's but I like to use the phone in landscape mode when I do and the stock doesn't seem to do that??)
-K9 mail (E-mail app.. multiple accounts etc.. I can't live without it)
-Skyfire Browser (because it plays flash videos) when I used Miren it just opened skyfire to play a video.. why use 2 apps?
-Meridian Music player (it has some nice features, I even got the paid version it was so good)
-Vignette is a nice Camera app (has cool effects and borders like old style polaroids and shizzle.
-Swiftkey for the keyboard.. because it knows what I want to write before I do! well sometimes.. its damn quick anyway.
-Root explorer (for root stuff) Astro for normal file shizzle
-and Launcher Pro plus for a home launcher.
thats how I roll.. each to his own tho...

AdFree works with my X10 Mini 2.1 rooted, which version did you mean? The OS or that particular application 'AdFree'?
Hi all. Wel, as the headline says, is it possible? I would really like to use the standard widget, but the locations I wanna use, is not supported in the widget, but are on accuweather.
I had such problem and found some little weird solution.
It only works if your system language differs from English.
1. Set your system language to English
2. Try to find your location in English in widget settings.
3. If this helps place the widget and revert system language back.
Haha wtf, it actually worked! Weird..
Thank you!

I just started to use themer beta app since I just came back to android (N5 ) after a hard journey with windows phone
I'd like to make over my homescreen on my old S3 manually; but this app has helped me to makeover my N5 easily and it's awesome!
but, is there any way that we can change the apps launched?
For example for a particular theme, when I click sms it will go to hangout only. Could I replace it with a folder instead?
Sorry for bad english though
should be easy enough,by editing the icon and changing it's hotspot to what you want to load.

Hi @KingOmega,
Try this: Hold down on the homescreen - Themer Settings - App preferences - SMS, then change it accordingly. You can do this with the rest of your shortcuts too.

Good Work
Works pretty flawlessly. A bit cumbersome in terms of usability (no drag&drop, as a result items get removed by adding their names feels kind of weird).
Can you add a feature to reorder the elements? Still missing that.
In summary it can be said this is an awesome and handsome app to easily edit preferences menu, and because it's still beta I expect some more useful features to come around soon. Quite thankful for it and getting pro next version :good:
Working on my Samsung J5 on LP 5.1.1
it would be great if i could sort items in Settings.
and how should i know a setting fragments codes? any tutorials?
nice work tho. its good too if you can add ability to hide some sub settings so that its not visible to everyone
I've been looking for something like this for a while, fantastic work. As previously mentioned a drag and drop would be nice or at least an option to sort menu options. Also, and I understand this is a beta, the UI could be a little more intuitive. I would also like to suggest that apps are sorted alphabetically rather than by package name.
In regards to the UI:
For example for remove, it would be nice if it listed the existing options to remove.
Example for sorting:
In settings under System, I would like to move About phone all the way to the bottom and move System UI tuner above Xposed Installer.
Pretty good! Works here.
Ideias:
As mentioned, a drag and drop list would be usefull;
The removal of options should have a list;
Would be really cool to have the option to hide the corresponding app icon from launcher.
Hi,
Immediately bought this as it is amazing!
-As some other users said it would be nice to change the order of items in settings.
-Is there a way to bring a submenu of a setting, let's say: "tethering & hotspot", to the highest level?
-Can we have some more info about "Settings Fragment to launch' please?
Great idea but it doesn't work with my phone. Maybe the next version...

Thanks for all the feedback! As I can see this app is received very well, so I'll definitely continue developing it! As for the Settings Fragment, you're going to have to dive into the source code of the Settings app for that (https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_packages_apps_Settings/tree/cm-13.0/src/com/android/settings) An example of a fragment is com.android.settings.applications.RunningServices, which launches the running apps screen. Unless you know what the settings fragment is, you're not gonna Have to full anything here. It should be enough to just add a title and category name to make it work, however you can also add an icon to make it look nice and an app to make the item do something on a click. You can look at the YouTube video or the screenshot as an example. If it's still not working you can post your Xposed error log and I'll take a look
