This happened to me twice (yep two dead dell streak) when playing with fastboot, it totally killed my Dell Streak but I manage to return the unit to the shop twice and they happily replaced it for me as they too can't get it to turn on. I just played innocent and said that I don't know what happen when they were asking me all sort of questions.
Good luck dealing with your streak and hope you can return that unit and have it replace just like mine.

thank you
bout is there is anthink with external sd card
It is very easy to cut a notch that gives you access to the inner Sd Card with an exacto knife of other sharp tool. Picture

GUYS HELP! might have just bricked my phone

I went into clockwork recovery to flash the new bionix -v rom so i took the steps selected it in boot up it installed and i went back out and selected reboot now.
SO then like the moron that i am it didnt reboot right away so i waited about 30 seconds nothing came on. So took the battery out and put it back in. now it wont even turn on. ive even tried my jig with wont come on at all is it screwed. please tell me its not...
Go to the Bible and read up. I am guessing you probably need to use a usb cord plugged into the phone hold down the volume and start buttons then plug into the computer (make sure you already got Odin up)... that may be the way to get it to respond then odin back to JFD stock.
READ THE BIBLE this is in there somewhere it is the best source.

Did you come from a voodoo enabled ROM?
WHY did you do this?! It's stated so clear that it takes a long time on first boot, and you wait 30 seconds? My phone doesn't even boot normally (not off a fresh install) in 30 seconds. I've never had to use download mode, but I hear it can be pretty tricky so try all the methods you find many times to make sure it in fact doesn't work. But you'll definitely have to ODIN it looks like. Or you could go to T-Mobile and say you tried to use the 2.2 update from Samsung and it bonked your phone and see how sympathetic they are.
I think he means the screen was completely black for 30 seconds after he hit reboot. Bad sbl flash and hard brick most likely.
Happened to me when I tried to flash Nero for the first time. After a bit of tinkering I was able to Odin back to stock an then I just reflashed. Haven't had a problem since.
Make sure to disable voodoo.

I guarantee it wasn't from a lack of patience. He could have waited all year and nothing would have happened. The phone was already dead. Same **** happened to me.

Could you be a little clearer with these directions I would certainly be willing to try this method. However, since this has happened leaving the phone on the charger for anything over ten minutes it becomes pretty hot. Not that it really matters, I don't think the phone could be any more borked at this point.

Just wondering are u new to flashing custom roms on x10?
i.e. do u understand what flash mode is?
Sorry to sound patronising.
Also have u actually tried using flashtool? Or better Sony Ericsson update service?

Does the screen light up at all when you put in a battery? If it lights up slightly but still is "black screen" then try this to get into flash mode: remove battery, insert usb, hold back button and keep holding while you replace the battery.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
are you sure the batteries have a decent charge?
Im not new, and yes I know what flash mode is, no its all black screen, the batteries are either low or dead, either way the phone won't offline charge

try leaving it plugged in for a little bit with the battery in anyway, an hour or so. If you're on a custom rom it might still charge enough to get it into flash mode
ive been trying, its like it doesnt have a pluse, no response to anything at all!! I'm dieing right now because I need to flash a rogers ROM on it and its kapput, it's so weird. Why me..

seriously plug it in with the battery in and leave it alone for a while...
I know it's tempting to keep trying, but you'll just drive yourself batty. Best to leave it alone take a breather for an hour, go have a beer and hopefully by the time you get back it will be responsive

its probably your motherboard that has burned up so if you can't get three phone in flash mode you are kind of screwed right know and the only option you have is to send it for repair and hope for the best.

not really, if both batteries are dead it could easily be just that....
find an external charger or a friend with an extra x10 and try charging the batteries before trying!

all I'm saying is give it a shot before you send it away, worth trying to charge the batteries before going through all that trouble
try going in store to see if they might have an extra battery you can try, etc...

I hear you can take the back cover off pull the battery and plug in the charger and you might get a light on the phone after a minute or two then with it still plugged in push the battery back and let sit over night.
You can also try this after 5 minutes with no light and leave overnight as I read a few places it allows the battery to charge
yes, if you take out the battery, then plug the phone into a *WALL* charger *NOT COMPUTER USB PORT* the green led should light up. when its green, try inserting the battery, then leave it alone for a while and see if it starts to charge.
good luck

I had exactly the same situation, zero battery and also feared that I lose my X10. What do I did?
1) Downloaded X10a_2.1update1_r2.1.A.0.435_Generic.ftf (and put it in the proper FlashTool folder).
2) Removed the battery for 1 minute, put the battery in the mobile again but don't powered the mobile on and also don't used the USB cable.
3) Started Flashtool and choosed to flash the file, and only connected the USB cable while pressing the "Back" button. When it ended flash, disconected the cable and... voila! It was working OK again. After that I installed my fave-super-complete WB ROM again.
So, why I'm being sooo detailed if you aren't n00b? Because when stressed, we sometimes forget something.
Hope the Stock 2.1 ROM in FlashTool helps you like it helped me.

The 4800mAh battery for the Dell Streak came with instructions that said to charge it to 100% and drain it, then repeat...It's drained, and will NOT turn on...It's been plugged in for over 3 hours. i'm guessing you need to charge if for a while for your streak to even recognize one percent, also try removing battery from contacts.
It's obviously holding a charge, or I wouldn't be able to go into fastboot...Idk...I guess I'll just leave it on the charger for another couple hours. =.= My other battery works just fine with it, so...It's not the phone...
Plug it into ypur computer via USB, and let it charge that way for a few hours. At least that's what I read. I forget who figured that one out...
