I get a notice at the moment, that there is 5 programs ready to update, but when I look in "My Applications" on Android Market v. 3.1.5, they are not shown. Under settings I have checked "notify me when there are updates."
Others who have experienced the same thing, or is there another program that can do the job ..
I have looked all my programs through, and there were 5 that could be updated.
Are they linked to the market?
Sorry, but I don't know. How can I see it?
In the topbar on the phone, I get an advice what there is new opdates, but then I open market they is not be showing. Will the advice be showed if the programs not is connected to marked ??

No, the notification would not be shown. What do you mean by: "I open market they is not be showing"?

I get notifications that there are updates for some of my apps. When I go to look I don't see anything that says which apps they are. I've disabled Automatic Updates for everything that will let me so I can decide if I want to update, so maybe these notifications are for the ones still left on AU.
But even then, how can I tell which apps received updates? The dates never seem to correspond to the notification date.
BTW...not rooted.

Any apps whether you manually updated or downladed them or
if the auto update updated them would show up on your pull down
notification screen.................
When the notification comes in, I pull down the screen and it will say something like 2 apps updated. If I tap the notification, it takes me directly to my apps but nothing in there indicates which 2 were updated.

I don't know which custom rom you are using but when I manually do
any updates or if google auto updates any apps it shows the application
names and tells me if the update was successfully installed.
The only time the notification does not tell me app names is when
it only notifies me that there are updates to be downloaded.
If the applications have already updated it won't show you because the are already up to date. It only shows you if the application needs to be updated.
Like he said though, if it already updated, then it should show you what was updated.
I also have automatic updates turned off and when I see a notification that any updates are available, I simply go into the Market, click Menu and select 'My Apps' and will see what updates are available at the top of the list.
You should see this as well if updates are indeed set to be manually installed.
I'm experiencing the same behavior. Says updates are available. Go to my apps in the Market... no updates available. I'm pretty sure this is a bug. Not to worried about it though.

Try this,
Go to settings>applications>manage applications then click
the "ALL" tab and click on "market" and click on "Clear Data".
Then reboot the phone and see if the issue is gone.
To answer your earlier question, I'm not rooted.
But your clear data/reboot suggestion worked perfectly! There are 5 apps waiting for updates to be applied.
Thanks!
Iam coming from my OG Droid and I notice that when iam in "my apps" in the market app on my tablet and I see the list of apps needing update in the left column that when you click them you go to their permissions settings BUT should you not be going to the apps full listing like you had searched for it? That's what my phone does & the logical thing as you want to see the change log & user reports first. It makes no sense to click the app & get the permissions details. In this setup you have to exit "my apps" & search for the app & read change log & reviews & then upgrade. It seems like they have us going to the wrong place.
no one else finds this odd?
I'm really confused about what you are saying are you saying you can't see permissions right from my apps section?
On my phone when you go into "my apps" in the Market app you see your apps and a list of those needing updates. If you click the app you go to the apps full market listing.
BUT on the tablet if you click the app a column to the right shows you its requested permissions. It does not take you to the apps market listing - like phones do - to review change logs & reviews.
Okay I see well that's just how the market for tablets is designed already they still give us the permissions
Right.. but it is useless this way.
So your care about seeing permissions more than seeing the apps change log or reviews BEFORE blindly updating? Not me. I expect it to take me to the apps market listing like phones do so I can check out the app and from there maybe update.I already accepted the permissions when I first downloaded so I don't care about those until AFTER I review the changelog and recent comments ...not before
If you click the app once in the right menu where it shows you permissions it brings y you to change log and reviews...
I would like to see those first but it's not that hard just to press one more button
Sorry... but for me it only shows "allow automatic updating" checkbox and permission listed under that. Below that is "see all" which just opens more permissions list.
If you click the name on to it will show you everything
ahhh... you were not being clear as I just discovered if you click the icon/logo of the app in the gray box THEN you get the full app listing.
Ass backwards & nio like phone function as clicking the app name in the list gets you the full apps listing first then IF you click to update you get permissions data.
Tablet method on this puts the donkey before the cart.
Right i installed this security app that locks certain apps you tell it to. However i installed it and then thought it isnt that good but now i cant find it in the apps list, or in root. I cant remember the name of it but all it does is whenever i access an app i told it to lock, it comes up with a number screen with Password in green at the top n u have to type in a number code. Please help em find the name of the app and where its located.
Considering it isnt in the app listen id assume its installed its self as a system process so i dont know what else to do.
bump bump bump
cmon guys help please :/
If you installed it from the market then go to the market and select there and it will give you the option to uninstall.
market doesnt show the app n i cant remem the name need a way to find out what its called n how to get rid of it
Have you gone to settings, applications, manage applications, and select the "all" tab. It will be there with three option to uninstall it.

Here is a pic of what is showing. I know that I didn't install them. They are showed up on two different panels automatically and I don't have auto-add widgets enabled. I just ran Lookout and nothing showed up as an issue. know not to open them, but how did they get there and what is the best way to get rid of them?
Thanks in advance for your help!

try scanning with sophos from play store. if they dont show, after sophos, do hard reset after reset gwallet
I have figured out that this was a result of recently installing the free version of GpsFix.
I thought my Ad Free Android app would stop that kind of thing
Steer clear of that one!

You can't unless your the developer of the app and write the code. If your not then the developer who codes the apps needs to fix that.
Google searching the error shows stuff like this (to give you an example why it's a code issue)

I am geting this error message when i open the facebook or google chrome app. I am from austria and noticed this error when i was opening the app named quando. My friend has also the Galaxy s9 and he is not getting this error messages.
Does it has somthing to do with the development tools option that i activated on my phone?

No, enabling developer options should not do this. If your wanting to find out for sure then just simply turn off developer options.
Taking the time to read the link I posted should help fill in what is going on. But it is a bit techy so I will try to summarize as best as I can. Android notifications have to be associated with a channel. If no channel is specified (or doesn't exist if it was) then the notification can't go anywhere and gets stuck in "null" space (pardon the sci-fi term).
As an example... Facebook wants to let you know something important, so it sends a Facebook notification via the Facebook notification channel. Up pops a notification that lets you know what Facebook had to tell you.
Now this example deals with the error your seeing. Using Facebook as an example again for this... Facebook wants to let you know something important. Facebook tries to send you a notification but when it tries to open the notification channel it can not. Because the software encountered a problem it lets you know that the notification couldn't because it couldn't find the channel to use for sending it.
Now I know you said your friend has the same phone and about the only difference(s) I can think of that would cause an issue like this is your running an older (or beta build) android OS. If your using a custom rom then you should get in touch with the people who created the rom and see what they can do to help.
Still even if none of those apply the developer of the software your using would have to resolve the issue. At the very least they are the best people to contact over your issue since they know more about the software they made
Wrong
I have this problem when I open messenger or when I chat with someone shows me this ""developer warning for package com.facebook.katana failed to post notification on channel null"" how can I solves this

The answer given is not wrong, feel free to Google search the error cuz it tells you the same thing I did. I even posted a link detailing the issue.
You have 4 options really
1. Get a hold of Facebook and have them fix the problem with the Facebook messenger software
2. Check if "show notification channel warnings" is toggled under developer options (if you have it enabled). If it is try toggling it off and see if that helps. if it doesn't then you have to go with option 1
3. If your using a custom rom (or modification to stock rom) contact the people who made the rom (or modification) and see if they have any ideas. When you guys ask for you don't indicate if your using stock, custom or modified OS's on your phone.. so this option might not apply, but its here as a "just in case it does".
4. Using a modified/custom apk? Did you get the apk from another source other then Google play? Did you do anything to the phone? You can try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it from Google play. If you did anything to the phone you can try factory resetting it, which would remove all your apps and reset the phone to its default settings. A factory reset would be a last resort IMHO because this means you have to set everything back up from scratch. If you do end up factory resetting the phone install messenger first and see if you get the same error. If this option doesn't apply then you gonna have to go with option 1.
Under normal circumstances you shouldn't be seeing this error, especially with a major brand like facebook. So I would start with what with (or on) your phone might be causing the problem. If the issue happens with Facebook messenger only then I suggest you contact Facebook for help.
