All, I updated my X10 to 2.3.3 using a guide right here, it has the stock 2.3.3, but I cant change my ringtones because it crashes the sound picker app...what can I do?
Also, is there a guide to remove bloatware from 2.3.3 its consuming too much memory, I currently have 50 MB RAM free

If you are rooted, use Titanium Backup to remove them.

+1. There is not much more to it than that. If not rooted, get the 1 click root app and do it
Titanium backup allows you to remove just about anything installed on the phone, but be careful when removing things like timescape - it can seriously screw other things up
I did that, but the icon still shows up on the "apps screen". I used the free version of Titanium by the way, not the pay-for version. Is it not preferable to manually delete the file(s) from /system/app ? FYI, yes, rooted and debranded.

I use the free version and it removes the icon too so not sure why it isn't for you. You will have an issue with Creatouch if you try to remove that because it just reinstalls itself, so you need to uninstall it with TB, then also delete the apks from data/app and data/app-private.

How to remove the samsung's app

How to remove the samsung's app, except from Kies air?
Use Titanium Backup to either freeze the app you want or unistall it
First yu'll have to root your device. Then you can either flash a custom ROM that has uninstalled samsung bloatware or purchase titanium backup pro from the market, you'll be able to freeze or uninstall any app you want. You just have to be careful with deleting system apps since they can be important for your phone to work properly.

I would suggest you just freeze the app instead of uninstalling it. You will never know when you might need it one day!

[Q] Upgrading your ROM, not getting bs apps

Hey there my fellow forumers,
I am searching for a way to upgrade my rom (for example - from resurrection remix 2.4 to 2.5.2) and not getting all the default apps I DON'T want.
Basically, I backup my apps using Titanium Backup, delete and uninstall all apps I don't want.
Then I flash the new rom, get all kinds of apps I don't want, restore using Titanium Backup and need to go over all apps AGAIN!!!
Is there a way to upgrade the ROM and then restore the apps to the EXACTLY same situation they were before upgrade?
Thanks!
Hey,
dont think so bcz those Apps are implemented in the ROM.
Backingup(?) your Apps wont help - if you backup all the Apps (System n Stuff) you will not be able to back em up on the new ROM..
Sry for my bad english
Could theoretically use ADB to pull all apps in /system/app/
Then delete everything after update, and push back on.
But I feel you, its annoying.
More suggestions ?

System apps cant be re enabled thru settings>application or system app remover!!!!

hello guys,
i flashed my i9100 to ICS 4.0.4 UK then rooted it, i disabled some system apps thru system apps remover.
now when i try to re enable them in the default way (settings>applications>all) they are not even listed, and if i used the system app remover to re enable them again, once i exit from it automatically they disabled again.(system app remover is granted as superuser also busybox is on).
looking for help guys.
Did you uninstalled or disabled them? If disabled, I believe it's just like in Titanium Back Up. Install Titanium Back Up and see if the disabled system apps appear "frozen" if they do, click the defrost button! I just tried it and this works
When you are rooted and get to a situation where you are happy with your setup-make a nand backup.
Then use titanium and backup apps then uninstall the ones you dont like or need(being careful obviously).

List of Bloatware that can be Removed?

Is there any List of Bloatware what i can Remove, to get more Space and Battery Life? I have succesfully rooted my Phone and like to remove all the preinstalled Apps (because i never use it).
I don´t like to remove to much and then get Errors on my Phone
You dont need a list..... Install Link2SD, SD Maid, Titanium Backup, ROM Toolkit Lite and with Titanium you can uninstall every single app from your device but dont remove the core apps tho
You can remove anything on the list on this script and I'm sure that it works.
Thank you ardentis, that´s exactly what i´m looking for.
I will try it and see what happen
