6.6.1 is experimental and is not stable but you can try it.
Link for franco's kernel for gingerbread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049518
you might want to stick with v6.5.7 with franco's v19 kernel. If you want something stable for now.
one more question plz,,,,

yes, you should be able to use gprs on miks rom both v6.6.1 and v6.5.7. See the channel logs for this rom on the 3rd post. As far as I know, data and gprs will not be available if you have the new baseband installed (v20 something) since the roms are for v10.

1. you can't get the old baseband back if you are already on v20.
2. it is not built in on any ROM, it is flashed via update on the PC
3. You can opt to do so... usually yields good results when flashing a modified kernel over the original one given by the ROM's creator (i.e. mik's CM7 uses franco's v18 in one of his builds which could be updated to v19 and the experimental build uses franco's gingerbread kernel.)
Quoted from Mik:
Q: I flashed rom and GSM don't works. What's to do?
Q: I have new baseband, how fix gsm? (you have new baseband if you upgraded your phone to official 2.3.3)
A: Flash this: gsm fix (support for new baseband, this is not baseband itself).
WARNING: Data don't works, wait for new fix.

gsm fix is here: http://www.multiupload.com/R9CEDO2HS9
are you sure you really have the new baseband? (pray that you don't) look into Settings > About phone, check the Baseband version.

checked baseband version in about phone
it says "V07u-000-000-mar 23-2009"
so is it new one or old??
Thai is NOT a baseband version at all. Read my howto, been debated to death, no point in answerin such stuff over and over again.

try this:
dial this one you shouldn't need to call:
3845#*500#
it should show the hidden menu, look under version info. You should see your baseband there. dunno if this works on 2.3+ roms though, tried it on mik's cm7 can't get the menu to show.

Hard to read is hard, huh. Your question is answered in the howto, even with pics showing you how to find out the baseband version. But then again, noone bothers with reading.

You have old baseband and you can flash cm over it. You will be absolutely fine. Just go ahead.

yup it doesn't make sense... you can switch to mik's, you should not have the new baseband. You are already using ROMs that are using the v10 baseband, you don't need to worry about anything else.
Read the first few posts of the ROMs threads to understand what the roms are and what you need to do before flashing them.. again... READ... can't stress this enough since I myself am getting sluggish at it.

Who knows... These people flash random 5 ROMs a day, stock Froyo, then custom GB, then stock GB, CM7 and in the end they go complain about no data, blaming the ROM.
As said on the howto, the LGMDP utility will always tell you which baseband you have (v10?/v20?)

@ Gurpreet90 Actually both r stable btw... Mik jus put there experimental cuz he tinks that noobies think is stable, all go for the stable not the beta... Well, im using v6.6.1(+ Franco kernel 2.6.35.14) without a single problem... No blackscreen bug either... But the v6.5.7 + FKv19, i experience problem like im cant bring up freq like to 748mhz... So make ur decision wisely... The performance or the less fps... Btw, u dunt have any problem with ur baseband... Download cm7 n flash it...

No. But if you do get connectivity problems you might wanna try switching basebands.
i would suggest to you to try both..
you can flash them via cwm..
you can jump between this two if you choose the right one that suits you..hehe
ive tried both roms
i couldnt find any noticable difference between the two in terms of usage and performance
I prefer the KANG CM7 Rom just because it has the 16 bit transparency, the scrolling gets smoother with this option enabled.

I already have BehradGH's CM7,is it safe to flash cooper KANG?
I mean in the instructions,it said that you need 2.3.4,While CyanoAce is having 2.3.7.
I think you can flash directly but make first wipe cache and dalvik cache. If you get bootloop make wipe data/factory reset too.

I did not get to test the CPU usage really, what I saw was, every game I played had much lag on the screen when touched EX. PES 2012 and FIFA 2012, and also analyzed by SETCPU whenever touched the screen the CPU jump from 480Mhz to 729mhz.
And just for the record, I still can not flashing any kernel, even though WIPE as possible in all caches.
I am using the P990 O2X ,rooted and using CM7 nightly build 204
I have just flashed the AUTO FOCUS 1080p 30fps CAMERA MOD FOR CM7
by LeJay
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094424
However,I found it quite buggy(the screen will freeze suddenly) and want to restore the original camera for cm7...what can I do?
should i wipe all data and cache and flash the cm7 nightly once again? I've done it but the video recording still goes wrong.
or, can i have a flashable zip to replace the buggy mod? the original cm7 camera is just okay
I am not familiar with Android at all, and this is the first time i ask question, thx all
Do a full wipe of data/cache partition/dalvik cache, then reflash the rom. Wipe dalvik cache again after flashing the rom.
the problem still exits /.\
anyway thx...
can u recommend another ROM For P990 O2x?

There is none since it required a mod.
There is a SD mounting problem, after disconnecting the USB cable from the phone the SD card isn’t mounted.

The problem is with kernel.
If you are facing the issue, then you are on stock lg gingerbread or rom based on stock gingerbread.
Just use PaoloM70's OC Gingerbread kernel and all problems will be gone.
If I had helped you, then press Thanks button please
I think that Franco told on the Kernel topic that the issue will be fixed soon...He will look into it after the weekend
