Sorry if it is noobish ques bcoz i noob

Never thought about that, but maybe you could...I really wouldn't recommend using someone else's than again if its beneficial to your needs go for it
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
No, you wont get an accurate battery readin this way. Each and everyones batteries are different, some have weared alot while some have not.
Oh..so we cant take others people batterystats.bin ...but if sumone canctry takin others batterystats bin then?? It may also be helpful..?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
i dont think it would work out too well. its like having two guys that wear the same size clothes share the same underwear, except one may find it comfy and the other may find it itchy. ok maybe that was a bad analogy
the point is, that file is unique to the usage of each phone. let's say i use my phone a lot (heavy usage) and you hardly use your phone (light usage). if i gave you my batterystats.bin file, it would give you a wrong reading (for example it would say you are low on battery when really you still have a lot left). same thing goes for the opposite. if you gave me your batterystats.bin file, it would give me a wrong reading (for example it would say that i have a full battery left when really i having 1% remaining). this is my understanding, so i can be wrong but i think this is the general idea
see this for more info:

So I got the 3500 mAh battery for my eris and have it pretty much perfectly conditioned and have never flashed without having the battery at 100% because I have heard it can mess with the battery stats or something like that if you flash while not on 100%, but I still have my old battery, could I pop that in, while its not on 100%, flash the rom, and then switch to the new battery. Or would that mess with the phone?
Are you being serious? Btw, this is not development related, it belongs in q&a.

Whoops sorry, I honestly just accidently posted that in the wrong section.
And yes I'm being serious, sorry for asking a question not up to your intelligence level?

i've flashed with battery as low as 35% (but i don't recommend... just to cma).
in any case... flash it however you want i think the "official" answer is 85% is what verizon recommends before doing an OTA.
in any case... you're good to go!
You shouldn't dis on someone's intelligence and at the same time put a question mark at the end of a statement.

You shouldn't be a douchebag to people less knowledgeable about things like this. But thank you very much Tenzo for not being a douchebag and giving me a good answer
Sorry if I came off "douchebaggy," it just looked like a question that if it were important it would've been asked a lot more. I just never worried about that before and it kinda threw me off. Again, sorry bro!

Yeah i was just worried about getting my 3500 battery out of conditioning or anything like that, because I don't have the time to condition it. If that makes sense lol, anyways all good now sorry for posting in the wrong section.

cool. glad you got it figured out.
so what did you have for lunch today?
get enough fiber?
It's draining my phone like hell......it was fine in 2.3.1.
I'm experienced user and I know I dont have bluetooth, wifi, data, or anything like that on. No backgroup stuff either.
It's like 1% for 5 min.
And why do you need to post such question here?

Because it's the general section for the Amaze, and this is where this type of question belongs.
To the OP did you wipe data, cache & davlik before flashing? Also what kernel are you using?

"Battery problem with xboarder's bulletproof" cannot be anymore specific but yeah lets open new threads and become famous to the op, might be smarter asking where bulletproof belongs, that way you might get more feedback from bulletproof's users. As it regards ur concern, just deactivate automatic sync of social networks and ur battery life will be back to normal. Nothing to do with kernels
before this turns into a flame war...not everyone is able to post in the development section especially if they are new...the question belongs here since we do not have a Q/A section.
Let's get back to the topic. to the OP: can you be more specific about what is going on with your battery? 1 percent when screen is off or screen is on???
You could recalibrate your battery. Charge to 100 then go to recovery and wipe the battery stay, then unplug and drain the battery completely. After another full charge, battery life should improve.
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
I've noticed a little extra drain myself, but then again i haven't charged the device to 100% yet since flashing... Haven't been concerned about though.
Overall still a wonderful rom, thank you xboarder

I would like to followup... Although i have not been using my phone, since my last post here i only lost 2%... That's not bad
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
The draining is from that the power manager can't step down the cpu. There is a process that is interfering with the power manager.
I have not had such problems. My battery lasts around 14-16 hours with normal to heavy use. That is with wifi on all the time, calls, some games, and lots of trolling around the Internet. Did you flash the kernel that is included in the zip file? And if so are you over clocked? Like someone else already said, calibrate your battery. There is an app for it in the market that make it idiot proof.
Just get the kernel from an older version and system tuner under clock it. Or try another rom fourth bar ics theme been good for me

yes, so it's all good
I ran it for a few days and did not notice any strange battery issues.
Are people stupid on this forum. Seriously thinking of changing to another phone.
All i see are idiots spamning developer forums. Then asking stupid things like wheres this guy gone. y no updates . This phone will have no good developers left soon whitch is a shame.

its true that there are a lot of stupid threads
and there are a lot of retarded spammers like one that posted in touwiz 4
but sga still has a lot of good dev
and ofc it will have less dev by time cause technology keeps getting better and devs and others change to better phone
what u think they gonna use sga forever
Which is why I have a Defy.....
Herpderp Defy.
Nope. I know what u meen. I chose this phone to get a knowlegde of script and other its of proggramming. Only a newbie still at the moment but learnt a lot from the great developers on these forums

On the same river: some troll is giving all the ROM threads in SGA Devel with 1 star. I don't know where they're going with this.
I'm really considering switching phones if I have the money.

yeah i noticed
at moment xperiatized came out was rated 1
and then xOS rated 1
thats why most of roms has bad rate
why are the moobs rating threads with a1
they must be happy with what they get
devs has worked a long time on it and those stupid people
wont like it -_-
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
I have noticed the rating things too...In Omega rom,all of the languages were deleted to provided perfomance and some one said 'This rom sux, there isnt any language' Seriously, such people need to get a life. And then theres a complete *****,i forgot his name going and spamming all the roms.He said maclaw's ics build was really bad and then insulted TouWiz4...People need to learn some manner here....
Move over to a new forum ?

xda should change and prevent (hoppe its right word) from idiots like that
when new user comes
there should be questions about android, and why he came to xda
i dont know about other phones threads but i think SGA has worst users :S
I won't tell the name but one user even called me a 'racist' for removing the languages from OmegaRom.

Naa. Look at it this way: there are a lot of people who can't make a ROM or program, but may be able to test and criticize them. We all benefit from good bug reports!
So please, ppl, reporting "doesn't work" just makes no sense. Tell'em what exactly didn't work, on which HW and what you got installed.
look i am learning to make launchers and port / mod them
but its extremely difficult as sais before they need to rie all those things we did
and then they will learn to respect
us

I know it is contentious, but can there be more moderation in the developer forum. Threads fill up with pretty useless posts, and the rude ones surely could be "voted" or flagged in some way.
And perhaps anyone who stars a thread should have their name logged with their rating for transparency.
Anyway, sadly the internet (not only this forum) is really just a reflection of society, which also seems to be filled with lots of noise and little signal...
I am stupid as F**k and even I don't bother with that crap. When it is done, it's done. None of us are 3 years old, so we can stop with the "are we there yet" BS! ¿Comprende?...

i'm just kidding, there isn't any Best Roms We should try it ourselves, but if any body can give some quick tips about having better battery life or tweaks of undervolting using custom kernels. Thanks Guys
Watch what you synch, disable Google backup, freeze everything Samsung related, possibly disable the Google location services if you don't need it as this works constantly because of Google now.....black or dark wallpapers, die Facebook, die! Use siyah with some u/v, not that it makes a huge difference, but all in all, for best battery just try chipping away at it
1. Unnecessary post.
2. It makes very little sense and my eyes hurt trying to read it.
Other than that, well, disable sync, GPS and make wifi die during sleep. Also disable Google location services and whatnot which are known to chew through the battery. Oh, and Facebook alone can eat up 1% extra per hour, just so you know.
What is the best Rom besides Omega?
Any other rom is one reply .
