[Dev][Q] Xperia Ray questions - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Why is it xperia ray had no own sub forum? ....
And just a development section, but less of custom roms?..any DEV gonna work on it?

Wrong forum. That question belongs to XDA general. Best regards,

[REQUEST] to Moderators for Shifting this Section

I find it that our Ray is No Match with Mini's and Active Section. It has much more resemblance with Neo or Xperia Pro..
I am requesting Moderators to Please Shift Xperia Ray Android Development to Xperia Neo/Neo V Forum. Just Like you named Xperia Mini/Mini Pro/Active Under one Heading, Kindly Do the same for Ray like e.g Neo/Neo-V/Ray... Make a seperate Android Development Section in Neo V Section...
OR
Make a Seperate Section COMBINED with Xperia Pro...Like Xperia Pro/Ray.
I hope everyone agrees here...
i fully agree with you
Or maybe make a different thread, like an arc :-D

Quite Right
Have to agree, it deserves its own section period, i understand space is a luxury but surely its worth sacrificing

Hey guys, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, I'm just a lowly moderator. I will not be able to help you in this case. You'll need to reach out to someone on the administration. Good luck!

Sony Xperia S General forum
Please be aware there are multiple forums for the Xperia s, so make sure you post to the correct forum to ensure your post gets the best visibility and so that the forums stay organized.
The "Sony Xperia S" General forum is for tips, tricks, news, etc. about the Xperia S, NOT for questions.
For all questions about your Xperia S, please go to the Q & A section.
If you feel that the most appropriate forum for your post is not 100% clear, then use your best judgement.
Any non-related threads will be moved to the appropriate forum or closed.
Repeat offenders will be infracted/banned.
Duplicate Threads.
In addition, please do a search before starting a brand new thread. Duplicate threads make it harder for other users to find the information they need efficiently. If your thread is a duplicate, it may be closed but an explanation will be given. No offense is intended, so don't take it personally, but please understand that it's all for the benefit of yourself and others. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask the mods.
Thanks!

Effect on floating touch from root.

Hey folks,
I am quite new to android so I don't know much.
I am really annoyed by the slow speed of Sony in updating the phones to ICS.. So, I am planning to root my Xperia Sola.
I was wondering, will I lose floating touch after root? It's really helpful in browsing and is fun too..
Also, can anyone post a link to a complete rooting guide for Sola? I'd really appreciate..
Thanks..

No you won't lose Floating touch...!!!
But if I were you, I'd wait till ICS, since Sony France tweeted that ICS for sola is just around weeks( I am guessing it should be here till mid sept...just my Speculation..)
and there may be methods in ICS by which sola could be rooted without unlocking the booltloader.
Thanks man. If there's a possibility to root without unlocking the bootloader then I'm gonna wait.. Actually, if I get ICS, I'm gonna wait till my warranty actually ends..
It's too annoying to be stuck on GB when everyone is getting ready for Jelly Bean..

The only available Q&A section is for Xperia S, specifically the section your link leads to.
Secondly, there still isn't any root possible without bootloader being unlocked for Xperia Sola yet.
There's no place else to ask a question specific to this device other than here, despite it clearly being the wrong section...
Hope a proper Q&A + general talk combined section could be made for each specific model rather than lump all models in the same General Discussion section with Q&A for only one phone model in this series.
Well then again, this is the wrong place to make suggestions. lol.

Xperia S Q&A
For all of your questions relating to the Sony Xperia S, Sola, U, P
As per rooting,I didn't see unlocked bootloader,my mistake.
It was never said that it is currently possible to root without unlocking the bootloader.. It was only said that it might become possible in ICS.. The question is, what are the chances of this being true..

DO NOT POST Q&A IN DEVELOPMENT SECTION!

Okay so apparently people don't read the stuck posts in the development section. So I'm going to leave this post with out a sticky feel free to bump this daily to keep it on top of the forum. We've had to move more Q&A out of this dev section than any other in this sub forum.
All Q&A go in Xperia S, P, U, Sola, Acro S, Go Q&A
If this continues we will no longer move these posts we will just start deleting them.

Please don't start reporting posts that belong in the new forum just yet since this just happened it may take us a few days to sort the threads to the appropriate locations.
Thanks in advance
