i was wondering if its possible to change the batter meter icon (the default one) to a horizontal version which is a bit bigger. Anyone has any clue how to do that?

you change them with your custom by going to framework-res.apk/res/drawable-ldpi and change them there
Also try UOT Kitchen... it works a magic with Android and theming..

Hello,
When I used to check the battery status on my previous pda, complementary to the green bar there was always the value in percentage. But with Touch Pro, I only get to see the green bar without the remaining percentage value. Does anyone know if it's possible to display that info??
I just notice that I made a mistake and posted this thread on the Raphael Rom development instead of puting in the main Raphael rom. If someone could move this thread it would be great.
try to use green battery or any other additional software
Regards
B.
Use a program called batti, puts a tiny bar at the top of your screen displaying power level and when you tap it, it give precise details on battery levels
I use this one... looks pretty neat:

Just consider 1 green notch as 10%
Consider this too:
FInixNOver VGA Battery/Network Icons
Thanks for the post, that worked well.

Hmm, I installed the FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly.cab and now instead of the battery icon I have permanently the "connected to the power" icon. Even when I disconnect it from the power the icon remains the same.
On top of that, supposedly this cab would only change the battery icon, but instead also change the Gprs icon...

Did you install version 4?
That should only change your battery icon.
Battery % level can be seen without installing 3rd party apps

Try this one
Supposedly only changes the battery icon and nothing to do with network connection icons

You're right, sorry my bad, didn't properly read that.
Maybe you can contact the author, and tell him about it.
[EDIT] I took a look at the file, but the network icons seem to be the original.

Appologies, its part of Resco Explorer. Didn't realise that is was not part of WM6.1 as i've always had Resco installed.
Yup I tried that same FInixNOver Battery Icon only cab and instead of changing by battery icon it only changed my gprs and edge icons... something I didn't want....
i ended up loving ariel battery indicator,

Thanks for sharing. Installed it too, and placed it over the original one. Looks good!!
As you may know, the top black bar is showing your bluetooth, wifi, signal strength, and battery icons. However you have a choice between the digital clock or your battery status (almost like a togge). I know that the reason of the toggle and not allowing both is a space issue, but i never use bluetooth and i would much rather have a clock and battery status insted of a useless bluetooth one. Is there a way to put both clock AND battery icons on the top?
BattClock.
You can download a custom taskbar I use diniks taskbar
Battclock is the best.
below is my post configuring Battclock to suit my needs,
you can check the whole thread and c other possibilities.

Google Batt line service
It puts a very thin line above the task bar and represents the charge on your battery, it totally kicks ass, I used it always before I switched to the newer 6.5.x builds.
You will love it.
Jeff
lol no, im quite the nub at this, idk how to get in the HKLM documents to begin with.

HI all,
I was wondering if someone could make a metamorph to allow the icons in the settings to be colored? Thanks!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840300
Not sure if you will lose some settings when you apply the settings.apk. You may want to look into other roms that have the colored icons too and extract the settings.apk from it. Maybe one closer to the rom you are using?

I'll try it.
Edit: Worked well, thanks. I used the settings from pepperkake.
No problem
Since we have the atrix deodoxed we should be able to edit the framework. I really miss the icon percentage for the battery. Any good artists working on that yet?
example

There's a quirk with Motorola phones where the system only shows battery percentages in 10% increments, so for now...no.
The only workaround thus far is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=979495&highlight=circle+battery
Sad to hear.. but even a 10% change step view is better than non. Just take the "unnecessary" single steps images out?
sent ftom moded droid 2.2
there's a way to make it read in incriments of 1%.. DG did it.. I believe you need to edit framework-res and add some new xmls that include each step from 1%-100% :T
if you need help with that.. you can try searching for circle battery mod in xda.. and download it.. and look at what's inside the zip and see where you need to put the new .png's and what to write in the xmls.
