Hi, does anyone know where I can find the hacked version of Opera mini for Android?
What it basically does is allow you to have free internet browsing.
Usually it redirects you to web2go, but instead u can surf the internet.
Anyone know where I can grab the apk?
Is there even such thing as a hacked version of opera mini?
I thought opera mini was always free, and I had no problems using it. Carrier limitation, perhaps?
I can't find this in the opera config: where is the setting for seeing the fill URL in the address bar including the protocol?

Hey all. I'm new to the forum and have been looking at all the stickies and wiki on the phone but I'm still looking for some good applications. I just got my 8525. Its a great phone but i was disappointed to find that it doesnt have a full HTML web browser. Its a feature I was spoiled with when I had my Nokia N80.
Is there an application at there that will support the full webpages. I've tried opera mini and opera mobile with no luck. I've also upgraded to WM6 in hopes of it but nothing.
Any help?
And what other applications do you recommend? I tried loading a few but with no success. I'm mainly looking for games, full web browser and a really good multimedia player.
piscel is the best its a samsung app
Picsel Browser has a nice interface, but it does take a little while to load, and does have some problems with certain websites.
Recently Opera Mini 4 was released and it is small, loads fast, and displays pages quite well. Check it out here:

Just use it through your MIDlet Manager.
opera mobile is pretty nice and not java like mini
it's not free though
I'm getting ready to load thunderhawk from bitstream..will let you know..
From what I've tried so far Opera mini.
Opera Mobile Build1126 QVGA, i kid you not, at this time the best there is. Waiting for Netfront 3.5 and Skyfire.

Best Browser
Opera Mini is probably the easiest to use that i have tried out. Does anyone know if i signed up for Skyfire for my shadow, will i have to sign up again and wait again since i use a touch dual?
I use opera 9.51beta1 and I think is awesome.
Almost everything works great, pages looks EXACTLY like on PC, even with very complicated AJAX interface.
Bank accounts works very good too - I can make money transfers that must be confirmed with sms-code
and the most powerful tool - downloads from rapidshare with no problems
Opera 9.5 here and I will never go back.
Ever.
Without a doubt: Opera mobile 9.5 beta1. Opera mini is good, but only for device who can't handle Opera mobile9.5 beta 1.
just a little question... how do you get opera mini working on port 80/443 only data plan? i canĀ“t get it to connect
opera mini is now my favourite browser best app ever handles pages so fast!!
Its annoying when you visit the web and it takes you to the mobile site. Both Opera and IE I have disabled mobile site viewing and it didnt do anything. Everything is still mobile.
Are there any other browsers? This is annoying...
There is Skyfire available in the Marketplace, or uZard. There's also Opera 10 available from m.opera.com
Opera 10 looks really nice, I love it. But it still has the same issue of displaying websites in mobile regardless of the settings.
On my ipod touch, the browser can be configured to trick the website into thinking its a firefox 3 system. Is there anyway this can be achieved on the WM?
Are there any definite browsers which allow for full viewing? With all this estate for the screen, I I'd like to make the most of it.

IS there any way to set my opera mini my default browser
NOTE TO MOD: WHATS WRONG WITH FONTS, SIZE ETC - WHY CANT WE CHANGE THEM
if you upgrade to the newer Opera Mini 5 you can. If you're still using the 4.2 that needs to be used with a java client, I don't think you can.
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a way to change my HTC HD2's default search engine from google mobile to classic google. Both on the Internet tab on Sense and both on Opera's search.
Anyone knows how to do it?
Thanks in Advance, HTCOmnipotent

for opera read up on changing the custom useragent.
Manilla solution works, But I've already changed my user-agent and it's not working.
I believe that it's because it doesn't search in google but sends a query to Opera's site which redirects to google mobile. The question is if there's a way around it?
Thanks for the quick reply, HTCOmnipotent.
i use opera 9.7 and just tested with custom user agent
Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en) AppleWebKit/886; U; en) Presto/2.4.15
gives real google.
i think some opera versions as you say use the opera proxy, and isn't there a turbo mode in opera mini? think that would have the same effect.
however, i can't see that would matter, (other than for location dependant services) the proxy "should" pass on the user agent it gets given.
Maybe, but the redirecting link will always link to the mobile version. It's a server side thingy, has nothing to do with the user-agent.
heh well in that case all i can suggest is use opera 9.7, works for me
If you ARE on 9.7 then its something else.
