Best of the best - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok im after the best setup for my tablet to view pictures and watch h264 video files.
So what is the best rom for performance ?
Whats the best video player that plays h264 files on the rom. You suggest ?
I like to overclock too
Cheers

There are allready to many thread opened with HD video problems.
In my side, I've tried differents video software, none of them are smooth for h264 even in 720p. Some member suggest diceplayer wich is not beter than MX video player.
So, my conclusion is : wait for the next generation (transformer prime?)

Hi everyone. Dont know if this is right place to post this. Sorry about that
I'll be buying this phone in a few days. Is there any application to play DivX files on it? Coz its not there out of the box.
And is the playback quality good in the app?

Try RockPlayer, attached version is for our processor. Playback is good, but don`t use too big resolution files. 576x320 works fine.
yes, u could use rock player or mobo player to play videos and yeah the playback quality is gud
MOBO player is the best for me. it plays divx videos smoothly.

Video player

So is there any video player for wildfire which u could use t watch AVI and mkv files? I mean a one that doesn't lag like ****.
RockPlayer works great for me

Really? No lag?
on avi and flv yep no lag ,dont know the rest havent tested it yet
btw im on cm7 cpu @ 748
I'm on cm7 too and cpu @ 729 and when I tried mobo player it laged way too much you could nly hear the sound and see pictures lol. So really hope this works better
Edit: SO it's working great! Just a little lag though do you think it would run better if I set cpu higher
dunno maybe try a lower bitrate video
Encode videos with Handbrake and use the stock Videos app. Best way IMO.
QQPlayer
Ia orana everybody,
The most important is the resolution of the video, for a good watch you must change the video resolution to screen resolution and you will have a good quality.
I'm using QQplayer to read video file and Xmedia recode (witch have parameters ready for most phone) to change video resolution.
Thank you

Yeah been doing that, but sometimes don't have time to encode. But rockplayer seems to be working really well even though video is higher resolution.

Faster Video Playback

Can someone recommend an android app for increasing the playback of video files? I've found a number of audio apps, but nothing popping up for video.
QQPlayer and MX Player work very well on my Optimus One. Video playback is very smooth. Just dont expect to watch HD Video on an non HD device, playback will be slow then no matter what you use.
I recommend Mobo player, works fine on my SGSII
Qq and MD is best it support avi vob divx mkv all format
Best one I have found by far is Dice Player. Mobo Players is really good too but I use it mostly for running software mode to test stability.
BSplayer lite is quite good, very similar to diceplayer, but its free.

If you want to change playback speed of video. try diceplayer.
diceplayer can change playback speed up to x1.8(HW) , x1.5(SW)
Do any players support 3:2 pulldown and proper syncing with the refresh rate?

Cant we play 1080p video songs in razr?

not able to play 1080p videos smoothly by default player. i tried playing 1080p mkv .im getting video without audio??? any players to play 1080p? i think we can use dice player .Other than dice player???
Suggest me guyz
Thanks,
I'd like to know this too.. im aiming on getting a RZR and want to know what player plays .mkv files the best.. well 720+ videos atleast.. i tried on my TB and just stutters and plays like crap..
i had no problems playing 1080 mp4 music video in the stock player. the video's been downloaded from youtube. however.. there seems to be a problem with mkv audio so if you want to play mkv videos, use MX Video Player. it works just fine and it's free... it's one of the most popular video players on android and it has great performance. if you want to play avi files, you have to switch video to SW mode tho.
Using MX video player this phone is capable of nearly everything. The only thing swedroid had problems with was the bird scene from planet earth in 1080p high profile and ac3 sound.

mx player is a good choice
Hi!
The Best : MX Video Player !!! - is the first video player that performs multi-core decoding !!!. for dual core - performance improvement = 70% than single-core .......what you want more ???
these app store freeware video players are all heavily infested with spyware especially MX i would use VLC as its clean
Mx is good, but
For ac3 audio mx player is an answer on the phone. I usually watc movies on my full hd tv and videos with 624x352 reulution became choppy, They're smooth in mobo and bs player, but they can't use sw for audio and hw for video. In a forum on moto's website that they're working on the ac3 audio codec. That was on 9 november, last year.

I'm using mx video player and it does a decent job on 720p and 1080p
Playback with soft decoding.

Try BSPlayer (free on the market).
I've only found 1 video so far that it refused to play.
BSPlayer has played everything I've thrown at it.
i played a 16gig bluetooth rip of the matrix last night on my tab over my home network on my TV. it was glorious. this is why i bought this tablet
I use MX Player but still trying to find a player that will play 10bit 720p files correctly
Dice Player worked for me for 720 and 1080

No luck with MoboPlayer?
dice player worked for me. Loaded ironman 2 1080p into my SD card, and played flawlessly. Dice is only a HW player though so when I play my avi files, sometimes I usually need to use MX player.
What is the quality of AVI videos when you play it? I had problem with quality on original Transformer - a strange grid of dots all over the movie in most players (in one there was no grid but the movie looked like i had 100 colours at most).

Nope ill try again I was testing a ton of video players the other night lol
Just played three of my 720p high profile MKV movies using BS Player with no problems at all. My Xoom cannot play these. Very happy about this and was one of my biggest gripes about Xoom/Tegra 2.
I downloaded a 14gig MKV (the movie was 300) and played perfect on the tab with the file local on its HD. Streaming.. I need more bandwith for that
