Hi guys!
I have a big problem with my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Everything was fine, before I launched a game (Angry Birds), and then my Tab was freezed and now I can't do anything with it. I only can see a black screen, with the notification bar, at the bottom, but it doesn't make anything when I touch it. I can't turn off, and I can't take out its battery (why...). What can I do? I tried to plug it to the charger, but nothing has changed.
Stock ROM.
Thanks in advance!
Did you try holding the power button for a long time. like 30 seconds?

Anyone else experiencing their 10.1 retail Tab having the screen come on randomly and stay on? Every so the screen comes on, but it's black. I can tell because of the backlighting being on. I have to reboot to make it stop.

That has something to do with background apps making it "wake" up
I think a more important problem is the Tab either turning off on its own or having the "sleep of death" even on Android 3.1. I just experienced both of these but the one that scares me more is the "sleep of death" because in order for you to turn it back on, you have to plug it into a power source, hit the power button once until the battery gauge appears then hit it again, and this time hold it down until the Galaxy Tab 10.1 logo appears. Then it boots into Android like it should. this is the first time its done it for me, and its only been two weeks since i got it.
Hopefully Samsung's upcoming TouchWiz UX update will include fixes for this and maybe a dash of Android 3.2
Yes. I have exactly the same symptoms. Every few days, my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (v3.1) will turn on the backlight (but with a black screen). Sometimes it is on battery, and other times it is being charged. Either way, I cannot wake the tablet and have to hold down the power button until it resets. Then, the first time it tries to reboot, it displays a DOS-like error message and I have to reset it again. Then typically it boots up fine. I really don't like these symptoms. Any help in fixing it would be very appreciated.
hello,
i just installed android on my hp touch pad. cyanogen developed it i believe. it runs nice just two problems: 1. my app market keeps disappearing and i have to re install it and 2. every time i put my device on stand by (by pressing the button at the top) sometimes it goes back to the main screen/ where i left it and sometimes it doesnt come on at all! so basically when it doesnt come on i have to reset the device by holding down the middle, top and volume down buttons to reboot into the os. i have to do this procedure multiple times before i actually get back into the OS!!! can someone please help me?

Hi there to everyone, I broke only the glass on my screen couple of weeks ago (it felt face down from about half a meter, thats stupid) and I change only the glass my self but since then i have a problem with the screen like: if I press a bit harder anywhere on the screen for about 2 sec the screen became irresponsible and also the back and menu buttons, home and power button work normal. If I press the home button it react as it should, it goes to home screen, so it's just the screen frozen on touch and I have to lock and unlock the phone to go to normal. On daily use it's not such a big problem as i don't press the screen too hard, the problem mostly occurs when playing games.
I would try a hard reset but I not rooted as I use some apps that don't work if I'm rooted and I can't save all my settings, saves and apps and personally I hate to reinstall everything back again.
I'm thinking this is a hardware problem but why it goes to normal only after lock/unlock procedure and i also find on a forum that this can be from the screen protector. It's something similar with the phone in this video the difference being that mine it freezing and that it moving by itself. youtube.com/watch?v=isBDKgxB5vs
Did anyone also experience this?
PS. I sorry for my english as it's not my own language but I'm trying to make my self clear as best as i can, Thank you
Hi everyone. I apologize for my poor English.
I rooted my Archos Cobalt and everything worked perfectly.
Several weeks of use without any problems.
After installing ToolBox ROM and change Boot Logo Animation, a few days later, my tablet would not start easily but I could start with the ignition button and volume up.
At present, it is impossible to start it. Still a black screen. NOTHING! :crying:
I followed different methods to get my Archos Cobalt unbriked but it does react to any of them.
Any of you know where can be my problem?
Thank you in advance lean on my worries.

Hi and thank you for your reply.
I can not access the recovery menu or something. My tablet does not turn on. Exactly as if the battery was discharged.
I do not know if it is on or not because the screen is always black no matter manipulation I can do (Power Button + Volum up / down, USB cable or not etc ...)
Nobody has an idea?

I am on OMEGA 44.4. After prolonged use like playing games, browsing, charging and listening to music etc. screen on the top turns turns blackish and if i restart it is back to normal and this happens only on the home screen and menu screen and works fine on rest of the other screens.
If screen is damaged why doesn't it happen on the other screens too why only the home and menu screens ?
Please let me know if there is a fix. Thanks in advance.
use SEARCH next time, it's been asked and answered numerous times.
