Just what the title says. Seems like when I use roms from various developers I can't download various apps from the market. Says not compatible. This is annoying as some of the apps that made it on to my phone the market says incompatible but yet they work just fine. Is there a way around this? Sorry if this has been answered. I usually can find my own answers.

It would be helpfull to know what roms you are having issues with
also did you are you go stock market application that came with the rom or you updated it later on

Maybe the build.prop file on that rom has changed to reflect a different device
i found the same issue with the new cm10 roms...after changing to ext4 in recovery options its worked fine ever since. im using the 4ext touch recover by the way...i believe the options are under tools tab.
Clear the market data. I get that issue when I try changing the Density to make it all tablet-y. Settings > apps > Google Play Store (under "all") > clear data.

remove your google account from the phone and then clear market data then log back in, if anything try fixing permissions and clearing app cache

What would cause all my downloads in market to. Be missing all of a sudden? They were there the last time I looked but today they are all gone from the list except for Gmail app. I am running kaosfroyo v.35-1. Could it be from updating any particuar app? Of corse I'm just guessing but I would really like to know what happened to the list.

Ok nobody has any ideas on this matter? Please help.
Sorry man, not 100% certain, but if it were me, I would try to clear the data and cache from the Market. If you aren't sure how to do this:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All Tab (at the top) > Market > Clear data & cache. Open the Market back up and see if that doesn't help...
Don't know but happens to me too. Go to settings manage apps and clear data for market and they should be back. Although it doesn't stick long term.

Thanks to both of you! That worked. Much Appreciated.
I'm having this same issue. I cleared the Data and Cache, but I still see only like 5 apps in the downloads section. Any ideas?

I have searched all over for answers to this, but can't seem to find anything definitive..
I updated to the leaked MR2 on Friday and am very happy with it except for the Android Market. After a successful update, I went to the Android Market to redownload my apps and noticed it was the the old-school market version. Thinking it would update itself, I didn't think much of it. It's now Sunday and it still hasn't updated itself. I'm not sure if this is directly related to the market version I have, but I can't find half of the apps I had prior to updating on the market. And when I go to install through the web-based market, it states that my phone is not supported.
I just wanted to know if I was the only one having this issue. I also wanted to know if there was a way to fix this?
**Running stock, non-rooted Thunderbolt.**
PS. Not that it matters to me, but I also noticed that none of the stock Verizon apps would work as well after updating.
Ok have u tried this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1055876 just download and install should override the stock app good luck ..

I tried the clearing of cache and data of the market many times with many configurations (wifi, lte, 3g) with no luck. I will try the link above and see what happens.
I think it's a signature issue. I don't think the leak has the Verizon signatures and that's why nothing is updating and none of the Verizon apps work...
The link worked and updated the store! Thanks for that. I'm still having a compatibility issue though. I search for apps that I know are available for the TB and they don't show on the market. I go to download from online market and it states my phone isn't compatible.
Is there a possibility that the download I got was messed up?!
2.3.6 the latest?
I installed MR2 and my market is 2.3.6. I cannot find anywhere there is a newer version. Correct me if I am wrong. I did nothing special to get it updated to this version.

Are you able to find apps like MLB.com at Bat and logitech harmony? If so, it could be possible I dl'd a corrupted file...
Hello,
wondering if anyone experienced the same. Just got my evo 3d today and was able to download a few apps from the market but now can't download anything. It looks like it starts and downloads but wont install. If you go to my apps section, u can see the downloads still stuck at starting download. Would like to fix without starting fresh. So far I have tried clearing the market cache and data, the download manager cache and data, soft reset battery pull.
Any help would be appreciated

sometimes that happens to me on wifi and i just need to connect to 3g and wait
I use to have that problem sometimes on the evo but haven't had any problems on the 3D. I remember on the evo if you signed in and refreshed your google talk it would fix it. Don't know if that is still the case.

Thank, but I tried that, if you would have read the original post, you would see that I have tried that. But thanks anyway I guess
Thank you all for replying, I did a reset since i found no working solution to fix that error. This thread can be closed.
Having a problem with the market (has happened on all 2.3.4 roms for me) I will select an app in 'my apps' under my purchased apps, when I select install a loading screen comes up and it never proceeds to the accept perms. screen. I searched but have come up empty. Any help would be swell. Thanks.

yeah same thing happens here as well.....this morning i just rebooted, went back into the market and selected the APP again.....from there i was able to select "INSTALL" and it worked fine....also head into yur "APPLICATION" and clear data.....that should help as well...
Ive done the reboot, cleared data on market. It helps, some apps do download, but some continue with the problem. Also will happen with apps that need updates. Only happens on 2.3.4. Haven't experienced this on 3.3.

I've noticed this too. It is extremely annoying. I will go to my apps and choose one and the Market will force close. I have cleared data on Market and rebooted and it will work for one app and then it will do it again. I have cleared data on Market and Google Services Framework and rebooted and it again will let me update or install one app and then force close again. I thought it had something to do with TB market links, but that is not the case. I've also tried fixing permissions from recovery, but again it didn't help. I don't know if it is a problem with the latest Market release or with 2.3.4 Sense. Either way it is annoying and I hope it is fixed soon.
Been down all the same roads. And yeah, definitely annoying. It's almost random anymore.

Market enabler = no go! Any one shed some light??
Sent from my CLEAN SHOOTER using xda premium
it happens to me but it can be fixed
by market enabler. But you need to reboot, change your market with enabler BEFORE going into the Android market. I have the donate version so it chooses my market at boot. And then the install button turns back up.

Oh wait sorry, you say you have an install button? Different problem...sorry didn't read properly...
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using XDA App
Install button is present. Its after I click install it goes into an infinite loading screen and never proceeds to the accept and download page. Example. I just installed wave launcher, from my paid apps list, no problems. Went to install set CPU and the issue arose, it never proceeded to accept and download. Closed market. Searched for netflix, again no problems. Went back to paid list to install sense 3.0 theme and no go.

Installed apps arent showing up in "my apps" in market. Looked around but haven't found anything that fixes the problem. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

This is a well known issue from what I've been able to research since it started happening to me. Google knows about it, and apparently its' rectification is under works. For some people it's just an issue of the Market not using the right Google account, so you can try changing that in settings.
I found a solution for my specific case that you may find does the trick for you. This may not be the most ideal solution if you have used your primary Market account to purchase lots of apps. I however don't, and used another of my Google accounts as my Market account. I had to reinstall/update apps already on my phone for them to appear in My Apps, but any new apps installed show as they are supposed to.
Hope it helps.
