Im running Android Revolution 1.1.0, and whenever i check the wi-fi calling box in wifi settings, i get an error saying: Error: REG02 "Invalid SIM card".
that cant be true because I came from the Galaxy S 4g and wifi calling worked on there. Is this a bug or something? is there a way to fix it?

That rom wasn't created from the official 1.43 software that has wifi calling enabled so it's not perfect. Try QuikSense 2.1.2 and see if it works.

i am on quicksense 2.1.2 as of right now with the kernel installed, however i still get the same error

the custom APN works for me. Just turn it on, restart the phone and try it again, also try resetting your wireless adapter on your laptop....

**warning** back up ur sdcard since it formats it.
use gladenable for sideloading and tethering.
Ok so I fixed the Tethering problem because i just had to reset the adapter in my laptop and all is good now. It worked before so it couldnt have been the driver problem.
gingerbreak isn't working for me. it just sits there for 10 minutes and doesnt do anything.

i had same issue.. then i realized u need an EXT sdcard for it to work.. process only takes maybe 2 minutes.

I get a message that my account is not set up for wifi hotspot no matter what APN I use. I used to be able to switch APNs, then switch back, and the hotspot would start. After the 4.1.83 update this isn't working.
Is there something I'm missing here?

According to Moto downgrading from 1.8.3 is not a good idea.

Yes u can. I have also updated and flashed back to 4.1.57 and updated back to 4.1.83 and rooted using gingerbreak

Once you update to the latest Atrix 4G release, do not downgrade to a previous version or you will lose functionality. A file system change was made to improve data integrity (for the technically inclined, journaling was enabled on a partition). Once updated, the change cannot be undone through flashing.

Yes, use GingerBreak to root your device...even on 1.8.3.

Same here. I even tried removing my old custom APN and reinstalling via GladEnable.

from what i understand your suppose to be able to put it on the sd card on the phone...click it and it run... correct? well idk if other atrix's are different which i know there not....it cannot run, install or do anything unless it is from the market....and it doesn't have the option of an unknown sources check box
i tried using the command prompt before and have tried to learn but i can never get the hang of it....or it never worked for me
only reason i was trying to root (was) is so i could do my hotspot seeing as me and my wife do storm chasing and need the access to the internet but i can setup a whole new apn and do the samething......just have to find att apn settings again

I have constant sim errors with the mango rom.
I noticed that the rom comes with 5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09U radio by default.
i modify the rom with the 5.66 s/w radio but i still have the errors.Not so often though.
For example i had no sim error like 9-10 hours now.
I will keep watching it.

Which radio r u using, 2.xx.12 or 2.xx.15 radio ? Pls try with 2.xx.12 & confirm your result. And would also recommend to do full complete flash as I have explained in the linked post in OP.
UPDATE
I tested the soft radio 5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09U + radio 2.15, and found that my HD2 WP7 again started giving SIM error.
SO THIS MEANS...THE MAIN CULPRIT IS NOT SOFT RADIO 5.xx.xx.xx... BUT RADIO 2.15.50.14.

I do not think so. I am using a different radio...2.15.50.05 and i am having the same problem.
Someone in tha mango rom thread , associated sim problem with the existence of wifi.
So i turned wifi off and will see what happens...i will get feedback tomorrow morning

Try changing the radio to 2.12 and see what is the outcome.
ive had no errors yet, try replacing part00 and part01, it is working for me..

Actually, i am using 2.08.50.08 which comes the stock rom and it is still happening. Very randomly though.
I will try radio 2.12 next and see what happens....

I have been using the phone for almost a whole day without any "Invalid SIM" errors...yet. However, i have not been able to connect to my Wi-fi all day.

I've had no issues whatsoever apart from dome features not being finished(well it's only a beta rom), try what i sugested and reflash.
Is there a way how to flash the correct radio, without reflashing the whole rom? I have the sim error and I dont want to flash the whole rom with replaced bin file.

from yesterday noon until now..without error (wifi on , not a problem with it).
I also tried to turn off battery saving option and turn on 3G, data and wifi. So far so good.
So far the only issue I am having is the data connection. Were you able to get yours fixed?

false alarm. problem came up again.
checking something else now and see what will happen.
probably we cant be sure until DAYS pass so to be certain.
to keep a good data connection. just reflash and keep wifi phone. sounds crazy. but worked for me. be sure to keep a charger around

kind of new at this, so i have been trying to use nightmare sense version 1.6 with recovery 4ext. the ROM boots up ok and every thing works as far as i have seen. but when i try to connect to my mobile data, it does no work. It just says "turning on" then after a short period of time it says "disconnected".
side notes:
-been using cyanogenmod 10 nightly with no problems
-tried re-installing the rom multiple times with same result
-only nightmare sense version 1.6 seems to boot up, with the other versions i get stuck in a bootloop
-i am with mobilicity
-i get the signal from my carrier for calls but no data

thanks for your help, i feel kind of stupid now
I have my rooted and bumped LG G3, on ZV4 bootloader with TWRP 3.0.0
I flashed blisspop 6.0 and it always said "No sim card"
And when I flashed back to stock ZVC, it SOMETIMES says "No sim card"
Some of the time it works and I have my sim card read, but most of the time it doesn't work and it just shows up no sim card.
What should I do and does anyone know why?

It's just a harmless UI bug to my knowledge. As long as you continue to get a data connection and are able to make voice calls, you're good to go.

Dont' have LTE so I know it's not a UI glitch, but I did figure out how to get it back for the most part. Flashed ZVA modem and partitions and then deleted the contents of /data/misc/wifi/

I'm having this same issue and it's getting really frustrating to figure out. Only rom data works on for me is stock and I don't wanna be on it. If I find any solution I'll let you know, but for now I'm right there with you with this issue.

I managed to get at least 3G working, and it's on DotOS 3.0. I flashed This APN zip right after flashing the rom, and afterwards I went into Settings -> Network & Internet -> Mobile Network, I turned off Automatically select network and then picked Sprint to register it on the network. Haven't been able to get 4G working but personally I don't mind, 3G's good enough for me.
Try to flash this APN through recovery it works for me on virgin mobile....I also got MMS working with it
