CM Xron B2.2 boot times. - TouchPad General

I see that the speed of the boot appears to have improved when the animation starts. But I feel like the time spent on the "Cyanogenmod is loading" screen has increased a lot. I feel like the boot animation time remains constant which is about 10-15 seconds (about 2 full loops of the animation) but the load screen time just keeps on increasing.
Tested with full wipes of data, cache and dalivik. On B2.1 the loading screen time was about more than 40 seconds with a few apps installed. On B2.2 the loading screen time was about 25 seconds after fresh install and the time increased to 30+ after I did a titanium backup restore. Boot animation time is still pretty constant. But should my overall boot times increase so much with only a few apps installed?

Not if you boot a couple times after you install the apps or restore apps. It has to zipalign what you have just installed.
It's quite a bit faster on a clean system. I timed it just under 20 seconds from moboot to homescreen on a consistant basis.

Boot times after a clean install is still getting about 25~seconds on the cyanogenmod loading screen after the 3+ reboot. And that's still on top of the boot animation time.
I've only been noticing the long loading screen after B2.1. Before that the loading screen is displayed for a couple seconds before it would enter the boot animation.
I just did another full wipe with dalvik, then formatting each partition manually then doing another factory wipe before installing B2.2. And I'm still getting terrible boot times. I'm still getting about 25~ seconds on the loading screen with nothing else installed. The time spent in the boot animation is still great at about 10 seconds. So my start to finish boot with nothing installed on top of the ROM is about 45 seconds.

I just reverted back to the CM Alpha 3.5. The boot time has returned to normal. I spend only about 15 seconds on the Cyanogenmod loading screen before the boot animation instead of 40+ with B2.2.

Any way to make startrek boot quicker?

I wanted to know if there is anything I can do to make this phone boot faster. It feels like forever to boot and makes me want to crack this awesome phone in half sometimes.
Any suggestions? (about the boot time)
Thanks in advance.
Stock rom should be pretty swift on boot. Even some of the cooked ones should fly. When you start loading home screen plugins (In My Case) HTC Home Battery, Status... Auto Login into 3 of my messangers and stuff like that really kills boot time My phone takes over one minute to boot but when its up its up. You can try reduicing how long the second splash screen is displayed.

[Q] Total force close on boot?

Today my GSII (CM 7.2) froze up and rebooted, which has happened several times before without any problem. Except this time when it came back up, instead of taking me to the lock screen it went straight to the home screen and showed me force close messages for practically every app I own.
ex:
com.android.phone
com.android.deskclock
com.android.email
com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
com.google.process.gapps
com.android.vending
com.google.android.youtube
com.google.android.gm
com.swype.android.inputmethod
android.process.acore
android.process.media
-those were just the ones I could see before more started popping up
Once I am able to dismiss all of them the screen goes black except for the status bar and then the screen turns off complete with the CRT transition.
It seems like all of the force closes are related to apps that create a background process when the device boots.
My problem is that i can't get the reboot menu to come up so I can't get it to boot into recovery anymore; I was able once and cleared the cache, devalik cache and battery stats but none of that helped at all, It just made the boot a little longer.
Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Hold power button + volume up + volume down at the same time - after the initial boot splash screen flashes twice it will boot you into recovery mode, just hold all three buttons down until recovery comes up.

After you do that, try a factory reset, or data wipe. That should fix the issue...

This just happened to me as well. It was working fine 6 hours before and after I woke up everything force closes even after cache/dalvik wipe and reflash of the ROM and GApps. Although I hadn't tried the factory wipe before I screwed it up even more.
Anyone know what causes these mass force closures? Can it be prevented?

[Q] Stuck on screen saver

Hello!
My story:
I have motorola Atrix 4g with "Dark side". I wanted to restore phone to factory defaults, and tried to do this from android menu. Then i rebooted my phone. After that motorola logo appeared (as always), then Dark Side screen saver (in normal situations then i will see android lock screen), BUT screen saver just reloading. When it loads about 6-8 seconds screen becomes dark, and then it happens again and again. I left my phone for 15 minutes, nothing changes.
I Decided to set up this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781970
Everething flashed normaly with no errors, but situations the same, i stuck on screen saver (this time triengles). Only diffrence that now screen is not becoming dark, just never ending screen saver.
Hope for some advices!

S3 4 way reboot - hot boot

Hi. For some reason, using hot boot on my s3 just brings it into the samsung logo and stays there forever. It's not frozen, as the glow still goes on, but it takes longer than a normal reboot.
Isn't the point of hot boot a faster reboot?

Question [Solved] Bootloop noticing after MIUI 14 Update

Firstly I wanted to clarify one thing that my phone worked okay after the update. I didn't realise it has updated until after a boot loop.
Just FYI The camera in my phone have been crashing randomly when taking pics and the pics weren't having the full resolution. It was 1280x720. This wasn't an issue for me and I ignored it for like 3-4 months.
So my redmi note 10 have had some random reboot issues lately which i didn't give much attention to. It wasn't frequent just rare random reboots. Few days back I noticed my phone rebooting while in use and it started to loop for a few times and when it loaded into lockscreen right after unlocking, the power button started to press automatically triggering the power option screen and then the emergency calls as well. It stopped after a few taps on the power button.
A day or two later it rebooted once again while the recorder was on and and this time it boot looped a few times and showed the lockscreen and crashed booting back once again. A few tries after that it booted up and I was able to use it for another day.
The very next day, it did the same. Started to boot and loop once again. But this time when the battery is sufficient enough or the phones cool and haven't been used for a while, it boots into lockscreen but freezes and crashes. At one occasion, it stayed just a few more seconds long enough to open the passcode screen but crashes before I could type anything. Then it loops once again and before even reaching the lockscreen, boots back into MI Android Powered screen right after the three dots blinking page. And randomly it boots into lockscreen as well. But once the battery is down or the phone is heated enough, it barely goes into lockscreen.
Booting into safe mode also shows the same. It sometimes boots into lockscreen but doesn't show the 'safe mode' text in the bottom.
Right now when I had kept my phone off for a while it booted into lockscreen twice and the screen dims immediately before freezing and crashing.
The third time it just went back to the MI Android powered logo right after the three dots blinking screen.
Guys please let me know do you think this is a hardware issue or a corrupt software update?
I know software update issue can cause bootloop but does it reach till the lockscreen? My phone consistently gets into the lockscreen when the battery is sufficient or the phones cool enough.
What last update did you perform?

MIUI 14 which i didn't even realise until I checked the settings app one day after a boot issue
What version do you have?
For me see screenshot, works fine!
Backup your data and clean flash with Mi Flash Tool, you can then exclude any software problem
This issue have been resolved.
The issue was the CPU couldn't handle the heat once the device turned on and would reboot right after reaching the lockscreen and loops.
Thank you for all your suggestions, though.
