Hi,
I want to install MIUI on the German / European version of the xt720, but I don't know which MIUI version to take.
I tried two versions downloaded from a Google code page, but none of them worked. The cellphone is already rooted and a recovery has been installed. But if I flash the zip file, boot freezes at the Motorola logo and nothing happens for minutes. The I removed the battery, to turn the phone off. What is wrong?
Can anybody help me please? Thanks.
Which one are you trying.
If you try miui 2.3.7 you need a bootfix so it will boot.

As mchlbenner says if you're trying to install a ROM that was developed for the Motoroi XT720 on the Milestone XT720 you need the bootfix update.zip
They do work, even on a German XT720
Install via OR > updates
Install bootfix (the one posted above)
Clear data, dalvik and cache
Reboot
Enjoy

Otherwise have a look at android-hilfe.de, a German site with support forums for the XT720 as well...but it is more or less copy paste from here
MIUI 1.12.16 Milestone XT720

Is there's a possibility of making Flash 10.1 or Flash Lite work on GT540 on the stock ROM? I read a news item on xda-dev saying that Flash 10.1 will work on 2.1 although it's for 2.2. I installed Flash 10.1 on GT540 running 2.1 but the browser doesn't seem to recognize Flash content still. Am I missing some kind of enable/activation step? Did anyone else get Flash 10.1 work on GT540 2.1 stock?
FlashLite will work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=851179

Thanks but i'm looking for a less tinker approach. I don't want to go through clockwork hack.

Someone has made available an early experimental version of Flash that was compatible with ARMv6. It's very buggy but it still works for light games, audio and simple banner/buttons. Video is laggy and very buggy. Works with 2.3 ROMs. Didn't test in 2.1.

i installed GingerXperia V8 on my X8 and i get no market !
with more searches and other installations such as GingerDX i found out that any ROM with the core is giving me NO MARKET !
its like i cant go beyond android version 2.2 !
And upon searching i found out that no one is having that problem !!!
any ideas ppl ?
try login gmail account..
same problem here~i installed gingerxperia v8.
So I dowload market.apk and installed it manually using root explorer. It works but market will disappear after shutdown or reboot.
Try flashing latest gapps package for cm7, possibly your rom is cm7 based.

Greetings all,
Decided to update my gf LG P509 (tmobile).
I rooted it yesterday (gingerbreak)
I downloaded and installed Rom Manager and wanted to install clockwork mod recovery from Marketplace. It gives me several choices to choose from for phone. LG Optimus One and LG Optimus One (old BB). Not sure which one to choose (dont wanna screw it up)
I have not yet decided on which ROM to choose. (rom nightlyFourE or cyanogen 7.2.0 nightly) any suggestions?
Do I still need to install Gapps.zip after initial rom install or is it included in the roms?
current ( android 2.2.2- kernel 2.6.32.9 - build frg83g - )
Thanks!
I'm not sure but I read somewhere that you should the Old BB Option for the O1.
Cyanogenmod is highly recommended.
You still have to install Gapps after flashing the custom rom since Google asked Cyanogenmod to remove Gapps from their roms.

If I'm not wrong, old BB is 5.0.2.0 and new BB is 5.0.2.7, whic is very buggy, so choose old BB
My Arc S is a LT18a, and every ROM that I found, is described as available for LT18a and LT18i. When I try to install it at my phone, however, it says that it's developed for the LT18i. I already tried to install Cyanogen (Two or three versions), Xperia Ultimate HD and some other, but I keep having the same problem. What can I do to install a Custom ROM in my phone?
PS: 1. I tried to install it using ClockWorkMod (most of the times)
2. Sorry about any grammar issue. English isn't my native language.
