i just installed android on my hp touch pad. cyanogen developed it i believe. it runs nice just two problems: 1. my app market keeps disappearing and i have to re install it and 2. every time i put my device on stand by (by pressing the button at the top) sometimes it goes back to the main screen/ where i left it and sometimes it doesnt come on at all! so basically when it doesnt come on i have to reset the device by holding down the middle, top and volume down buttons to reboot into the os. i have to do this procedure multiple times before i actually get back into the OS!!! can someone please help me?

Can anyone assist with a couple of questions I have:
1. Since installing all the various bits of software on my IIi the screen rotation icon has disappeared from the bottom right of the today screen. Is there a way to get it back?
2. Because of the above, I re programme the camera, button 3 to rotate the screen, however it seems to default back to Camera after a soft reset. Is this a know problem?

We have been discussing this over on TekGuru. It is a problem others are experiencing as well and so far no one has figured out a way to get it back or what causes it to disapear. Presumably you still have the screen rotation icon on your O2 Active Screen.
If you use or decide to use SPB Pocket Plus, you can use it to put screen rotation icons on your Today Screen.
The other thing to do is to assign it to a hardware button as yu have done. I assigned it to the calendar button when holding it down (I am using Vito's ButtonMapper which allows each hardware button to do two different functions).
It does not default back to the original setting after a soft reset but it may be that the camera button works in a different way.
Thanks for the update, my only thought on this is that it seemed to disappear after I added the additional software from the o2 CDROM.
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next ROM update, which hopefully will include Blackberry support
hey everybody, i hope someone can help me, the thing is that my girlfriend have this phone right, and it came with android 2.0, i updated the phone to android 2.1 official and everything was normal, until a few days that it start to have problem with the touch screen. the problem is that sometimes she just put her finger close to the screen, she doesn't even touch it and the phone goes crazy and start to select things without touching the screen :S, another problem similar to that one, its that sometimes the screen freeze or something, you try to move betwen screens but it doesn't move propertly :S and an example is if you try to reset the phone (she have root and xrecovery) using the option that appears on the menu when press the power botton, you can press it, it doesn't do anything :S..so i change the rom for minicm7 (the last one that came out thins week) and apparently that problems is gone, the phone works fine, until today (i change it the rom yesterday) that the problem i mention before start to show up again :S, the only difference is that it doesn't happens so sudden as before, but we still want to know why than happens and how to fix it..please someone!

Over the past week since my Tab got the latest small update (whatever it was). Not the original large TW update but the small one that came after it. I've been having this problem where once a day the screen will refuse to register touch input and the only thing you can do is power cycle it by holding the power button down. The tab is not locked up as if you hit the volume rocker or the power button the interface elements pop up. You just can't touch them.
It usually happens after the tab has been sitting for about 8 hours and it's within a minute after I start using it. Generally I'm in the stock browser when this happens but I think I saw it happen with Dolphin. I have since uninstalled Dolphin as it was very buggy for me after the latest update and sometimes wouldn't come up at all.
Has anyone else had this issue and or know a solution?

Hi guys!
I have a big problem with my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Everything was fine, before I launched a game (Angry Birds), and then my Tab was freezed and now I can't do anything with it. I only can see a black screen, with the notification bar, at the bottom, but it doesn't make anything when I touch it. I can't turn off, and I can't take out its battery (why...). What can I do? I tried to plug it to the charger, but nothing has changed.

Hey guys,
Been following your forum for a while now and I have basically rooted and put the Eryigit-GB-2.3.6 ROM on here. However after I plugged in to the PC the touchscreen seems to freeze up, my Go Locker theme doesn't show and I can't use the capative buttons to use the device (they light up but nothing responds). Any fixes? Thanks in advance! Basically, I have no touchscreen functions.
