I know that Gingerbread has base functionality to block phone numbers from the call log, but on my Amaze with Sense 3.0 I cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know how to block phone numbers?
Go into people, Click on a contact, there is a selection to block caller

Hey everyone.
When I was on Froyo with the stock sms app I would get a notification on my lockscreen saying "1 new message" or "1 missed call". Something like that. I was just simply a line of text. I have no idea if this was from Froyo, from the stock messaging app, or from the ROM (OpenOptimus).
I am currently on CM7 with GO SMS and am wondering if it is possible to get this again.
*I have tried things like no led and sms popup but that is not what I want. I don't want to text from lockscreen or anything. Just that line of text saying I have a message or missed a call.
Thank you.
enable notifications in setting of stock messaging app
You could try flashing andy's phoenix rom. Tomorrow he will release a new version that will include a lockscreen with all those nice features you are searching for.
I recommend it.

I found "Missed It!" on the marketplace but you must pay for it.
It does exactly what I want. Text on the lockscreen.

Is there a free version or something similar?
I think some of the elixir 2 widgets knows this feature. Give it a try...it's free...

beathief.........
So MissedIt! is exactly what I want, but it won't go on the lockscreen.
Depression is sinking in.
Edit: Trying Widget locker. Would rather have my normal cm7 lockscreen.
Is there an APK or something that can be installed to get the Trace keyboard back on the 3.11.605.22 leak?
I've tried Swype beta before on my Thunderbolt and it seemed a bit clunky.
I had gotten the SlideIT keyboard on sale for my Thunderbolt last year, but it does not feel as "clean" or "smooth" as the Trace keyboard.
Not keen on either of those two, but will use SlideIT if I have to until there's a build running with Trace.

You can update the thread title in the first post to show it is resolved.
I'm curious, with trace enabled, can you use trace on the lockscreen with a password set? I ask, because I just upgraded my Amaze to official ICS/Sense 3.6 and lost the ability to use trace for my password, which was a huge timesaver.
Hi all, I have not created the mod or apps. So all credit goes to the people where I gathered it from. Just thought of sharing it here because it was hard myself looking for it all the way. And since I found it, I'd like to share it with you guys.
ICS Notification Bar. Flash in recovery and you're good to go. NANDROID PLEASE. (Changes phone settings to stock ICS too) (Credit to VladBelsky, got this from his forum): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?h42x34ar49xk5t5
ICS Messaging Application (Doesn't replace your default app, freeze it in Titanium): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?g1rufbrrkbra6sb
ICS Gallery Application (Install as a regular .apk file and it DOES NOT support 3D pictures for obvious reasons but still a good eye-candy software to have on your phone ): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?fb79eppsoxfki3d
ICS Browser - For-Real (Install as a regular .apk file BUT IT DOES REPLACE your default HTC Sense Browser so I recommend you make a backup of it. Though as far as I've noticed, it's faster, better and smoother in many ways.): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2a4k523jvufjkw7
ICS Contacts Application (Flash via recovery, would not replace your regular HTC dialer): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?oyo19m5afnhef09
ICS Email Application (Not that much of use to me but still thought of sharing, Flash via recovery): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?8s8cs5xf0imxjqx
ICS Calender Application (Flash via recovery, not sure if it replaces the regular calender or not): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dbzviddbbkgwb7m
I found Contacts and Email on a One S forum. Tried out on my Evo 3D and it worked perfect. Though I got disappointed by the Contacts app as it still uses the regular call screen by HTC Sense. Lets wait till a complete port shows up. Other than that, the app works flawless.
I'll update this thread soon as I love AOSP apps and I keep looking for them always. I have a few more in my phone that I'll transfer and upload by tonight.
Hit thanks if you like and after digging so much, I think I'm ready to take requests.

I tried the way you said it didnt work so I moved messaging app to system/app and changed permissions and renamed it to mms.apk and renamed the stock one to mms1 and froze it in titanium then it worked like a champ!

Only problem I found was that mms wouldnt send but it received so Im gonna see if I can figure it out.
Both worked for me, just flash the statusbar and install the mms apk. I wish we were able to have the ICS statusbar but keep the leedroid drop down settings. Also, the mms doesnt work with the sense locksreen notifications. Other than that both look and work great!

Yep. MMS wont work as that is one HTC Sense integration. And I love the ICS notification bar way more than the HTC one so it's a win win for me with or without LeeDroid.

So the ICS notification bar and mms together will get pictures to send?

Sorry, that's not what I meant. I was talking about the MMS app integration with lockscreen. You don't see the new sms on the lockscreen. Sorry for the misconcept. :|
How bout AOSP dialer and Contacts? That's probably my favorite part of ICS AOSP.

Really love this.
Quick question, if I remove the Settings.apk and only install the SystemUI.apk in the zip, only my status bar will change?
EDIT: Does this have support for 4G icons?
I love the ICS status bar. Thank you!

Umm, I haven't tried that but you can always NANDROID and experiment new things. So do try and put down a feedback. And yes as it is the official ICS status bar, it must have support for 4G. Cant tell any more as I'm on GSM. Sorry..

You asked for it and it's here. ;D
I did not make this, all credit goes to the creator of Olympus trinity rom...
This is a 3d gallery apk, just like aosp version. I'm not sure if pics work but I tested videos and they work perfectly...
http://db.tt/4RrWz19z
Disregard, I think I had a faulty backup for those who read....
Confirmed. If you only want the Status bar and not the Settings to look like ICS AOSP, simply remove the Settings.apk.
I'm sure it'd work if you'd only want the Settings and not the status bar.
There are no FC's or anything like that. If you want battery percentage, you can just flash the battery mod for ICS.
This is bad ass thanks! Makes it look way better while still having sense

Now if we could only get AOSP lockscreen, I'd be SOLD.
EDIT: Percentages did not show after I flashed the ICS battery mod.
Also, I renamed my mms.apk to mms1.apk, and copied the AOSP mms it into system/app as stated in 2nd post.
Except I never used Titanium, so no freezing. It did indeed completely replace my mms app. Works great.
Is it possible to bypass pulling up the ring for the lockscreen and skip to the face unlock part?
I tried everything and nothing worked. Please help me out here.

I tried that and it messes with receiving calls. You have to unlock to answer a call when you don't have to unlock to answer with sense lock screen. I missed a lot of calls when I tried that.

Tried that, still didn't work. I've found that anything disabling the lock also disables face unlock.

No mod exists yet. You could decompile and edit the apk if you have the tools though. I also recommend Textra. It's clean, fast, and sends full sized mms.

I know, but i would prefer 5M, 1M doesnt allow most pictures to be downloaded at full resolution

Another thing I'd like you to consider is the fact that many images that you recieve look grainy right? Most of the time, the image is sent out uncompressed, but when you recieve it, your messaging app compresses the image and then displays it to make things more efficient. Another reason I recommend Textra, since it doesn't do this. One time I received a fulll sized 5 mb image. I was thoroughly amazed.
Back to your mod request, unfortunately I don't have the experience to know how to do such a thing. I'll take a look to see if it's a simple xml edit or something, but I doubt it. You may want to pm an experienced dev, like mikeyXDA.
