Most apps that get system specs can't read more than one core.
If you are using a app to get this info please make sure its capable of multicore processes
Obviously you where not around when dual core phones first came out.. in almost every forum people where crying wolf...

Even better.. all "benchmark" apps have flaws and quadrand is outdated

Quadrant seems a bit flaky when showing cores. I think it has to do with the power management putting the second core to sleep on many devices.
I see this a lot with my Droid 3. A good test is to install System Panel light. go into the CPU Activity area and you should see 2 cores, one being grayed out most of the time. Scroll the screen up and down quickly and the second core will turn on to handle the extra load.

This is a reporting error in the benchmark. If you checkout the logcat, you will see both cores are being used when required. Usually, one core operates until the other is required. The standby core idles until needed. Most of the benchmark apps miss it.

search around next time. it is a known fact that the touchpad uses both cores.

Setcpu?

Does setcpu really help with battery? I dont oc or set profiles, i just set max at 1000 and min at 100.

I haven't looked at the newer kernels so I haven't been using it. The initial stock offerings were always buggy when I used SetCPU, especially when I used a screen-off profile to set the speeds pretty low. I did that on my old G1 and the battery life did increase quite a bit.
Not likely to really help with the battery if you are not over clocking. If you get system panel app you can view in real time the cpu use. You could cap the top end to 600 or 800 MHz, but with the new roms there really isn't much need 'cause the battery life is excellent now and has been for 2-3 months now.
I use it along side the superpower app to set a pretty strict sleep profile. Thinking about adding taskser too, but that might just be overkill.
I'm using SetCPU with multiple profiles set to drop cpu with screen off and with battery under 50%, also using JuiceDefender, and took this screen shot today:

This was my third run but they were all about the same.
Why does the flyer get such low score in quadrant? My Motorola Defy (oc to 1000mhz) gets a lot more than that.

Because your phone is junk! No just kidding, the quadrant score don't mean anything that I can find? On my old sgs I was rooted over clock my bench mark was like 1200 my wife was stock her bench mark was like 700 and to login to the Internet, go into sites, download apps, games everything was the same speed as mine?

[Q] Dual Core Possibilities

I saw this thread on the front page of xda and was wondering if there are any obstacles that we'd have to go around to get this working on the amaze. I used the SystemPanel app to check that the second processor was working and it isn't being optimized. Let me know what you gusy think?!
Here's the thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681183
That's inaccurate.
I've posted screenshots of both working before.
Open system tuner. Push home to go back to home and leave app running in background. Go to YouTube. Stream a video. Switch back to system tuner.
The second core kicks in when it needs to. My screenshots showed both fully in use at 1.5, one at 1.5 and one at 750, one at 380 and one at 800.... They both work
Edit: here are some more

im an idiot
yeah i checked it out, at first i saw the second one off and thought it was supposed to be on at all times. Thinking they would divide the cpu in half, but I tried it and it worked, probably didn't change anything. Oh well, thanks for the heads up...

Google Chrome vs. Stock Browser (Pictures Included)

I was an avid user of Chrome on my GNex until I found the stock Browser was faster. Now today, I wanted to see for myself which browser was faster using benchmark tests.
As unreliable as some benchmarks can be, there is some truth regarding scored. The lowest score pictured was on the stock Browser, and chrome had the highest score. I was surprised.
Both tests were, of course, ran with all background apps closed, same governor, cfq scheduler, etc.

I wonder if that "fastest score" is the new stock Android S4.

RAM Consumption for 4.1+ ROMS?

What does your RAM consumption look like on the ROM that you guys are using? Mine is almost always 280 MB+ and as you guys know we only have 368/369 MB of RAM. What ROM or methods do you guys use to keep your RAM use at a minimum? CM7 had the best RAM conservation for me (165-220 on average) but I want to use a ROM that is 4.1+ while still being able to use apps that take up a lot of ram smoothly.
Edit; Added Screenshot

This is my point. When all my recent apps are cleared, and I've closed the running apps, Im always using 280MB+

Im not sure which ROM im using at the current moment. But its the only one thats has runwithout a single issue whatsoever for over 2 months. So its a keeper. But mines always about 50-90 mb free. I dont ever mess with the ram because thats when I do run into a problem. Mostly mine is taken up by Settings or other system controls. So if you could elaborate which settings you are using. I also notice that if my SD card gets full then the phone wil run slow as well.
