Could be faux's kernel, but he says it's the cell radio. He's pretty smart and all-knowing, I believe him but stock kernel might lessen the reboots.

Try going back to the standard kernel.
Here's a CWM flashable zip file that I cooked up just for you to revert back to standard stock (unsecured of course) kernel. This is a decent substitute from having to reflash his entire rom and use his rom flashing tool just to flash the boot.img file.
Just flash it from recovery, allow your phone to boot fully then you may have to reboot one more time to make the changes go into effect.
To verify that it worked check the kernel version. You should see "HTC" instead of "Paul" in the text.
If you don't get anymore crashes then I wouldn't advise using the kernel. If you decide that you want to try it again then go for it. I made a CWM Recovery.zip for that as well.
you should add a prefix or suffix to the kernel name. ROM and ROM version....

This kernel would also apply to beastmod and even the standard stock rom. All the kernel is just the 1.43 stock kernel that allows root commands (unsecured) so pretty much all 1.43 roms would use this. It might also work on 1.32 roms as well.
Just happened to me for the first time. Going to wait and see if I can replicate it and figure it out .

Title pretty much says it but just wondering if anyone has not been able to run custom kernels. It started with my attempt with Komodo etc., but I always get some form of screen flashes or massive FCs. Im am rooted with original 1.12 hboot. I have been able to successully load and run ROMs from Viper to AOKP, even CM10.1 but never able to run a custom kernel. I have wiped clean, reset and still no go. I am using the 2.2.1 TWRP so wondering if the newest TWRP would fix that ability? I know some of the EVO LTEs just wont run with a custom kernel but figured I would try.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Are you S-Off or S-On. I would flash the latest recovery just to be safe.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I've had the same issue with Komodo. I'm S-OFF 1.19. I tried on the latest twrp, 2.3.3, and even on a tip re-flashed 2.3.1
I was able to boot after flashing with 2.3.1, sometimes...but it really wasn't stable enough to even try to use. Constant reboots, FC's, bootloops, etc
The device I'm having this issue on is an insurance replacement from asurion, the 4th one to be exact. i never had this issue on any of the previous devices...my first was new via preorder, that was stolen, and the first 2 refurbs were returned due to other hardware defects, although at least they could run a custom f***ing kernel.
as far as I've been able to tell nobody has found the issue that makes some devices not take to a custom kernel.

Thanks for the replies. I am S-OFF, current baseband etc. I haven't tried the voltage mod, but will look into that and come back for questions if necessary. If you have any tips on the voltage mods etc, feel free to pass them on. I have tried to use Goo Manager to download the newest TWRP but kept getting errors but haven't tried today. Will try to get the most recent on and look at voltage mods. Its not a huge deal, I get great battery life and its fast enough but I wanted to at least see if there was something specific that I have been missing to run the kernels. Thanks for all the replies!
The Komodo kernel worked only after updating TWRP to newest and I also had to use the voltage mod as neither would load without it. Great advice and for first time I am running custom kernel on top of PACMAN ROM. I tried capped at 1.7 then 2.1 both work but the 2.1 started to indicate some weird results within minutes of loading. I backed down to 1.9/384 and looks to be the sweet spot. Thanks again!

thanks for the kernel.. worked great.. I used one from the international htc one, and when I would restart, I would hang on the 1st screen for over a minute, replaced it with this one, perfect... was able to remove from system/apps... and disable the boot sound. replace the bootanimation...

HTC One (All models)Added ZRAM/Zcache/CleanCache/FrontSwap, Simple GPU gov, and Intelli-thermal!
Information
this is the stock kernel with modules pulled from the HTC Droid DNA 3.06.605.4 OTA
the kernel is packaged into a recovery install
this is for S-OFF devices only
Instructions
download the kernel onto your device
reboot into recovery
make a nandroid backup first (always safe to do so... just incase)
flash kernel via recovery
wipe cache/davlik
reboot
Bugs
If you're using ViperDNA 2.0+ then the camera is broken. Reflash the ViperDNA kernel and modules found here
Downloads
Stock 3.06.605.4: download here
FAQs
If I do not like the kernel performance, feel or something is broken, how can I revert back to the way it was?
If you made a nandroid backup before flashing the kernel, restore that. If you're coming from ViperDNA 2.0+ you can flash the kernel + modules from the latest v2.0.3 build found here
