Is their some kind of Radio firmware update? - Motorola Droid X2

My sister X2 shows the same dBm of around 70 as my Rezound.. But she hardly ever has a data connection. She has eclipse 2.0.1 ... The same was when she had stock 2.3.5 .. So is it a general hardware issue or what? I can't set why she wouldn't have 3G or atlease 1x
Swyped from my Rezound 4G

There is another version out for Eclipse. It is 2.0.2 give that a try I am running it with no problems at all !!!

I booted 5 custom roms today and the sweethoney had the weakest wifi and talk signal, data signal seemed o.k.
The Rom worked great just may have needed to tweak it a little more. I am back to TW Bionix 1.3.1 still with issues ion it.
I have no problems with data/wifi/talk at all, and I am not in a large city...or even medium size foe that matter

I got mine working but havent done much testing. I will reply back after some testing and let you know if I get the same issue. I am going to give Darkys a shot as well.
Havent messed with Bionix yet, how do you like that?
I really like TW roms. I tried darkys. Sweethoney, auxura, and trigger.
Went back to bionix.

just flash a different modem on the rom....find the one the works the best for you.

Is WiFi calling working on any 2.2.1? I think i read here somewhere its not, so its not just a SweetHoney thing.
I did like the snappyness of SweetHoney, didn't really test it to long. I plan to run it maybe over the next week after I check out some more Radios for it.
Ive testes the Sweet Honey and have had no data issues as of yet. The only problem I am seeing is with the "black market app" Applanet, for some reason it has trouble connecting with the network at times. Minus that works fantastic so far...
only issue i have is the GPS not working - but its been raining and i have had the opportunity to get outside to test it.
Hopefully its not a big deal.
Love this ROM. Best so far for me.
email/swype update zip
I have a quick question. I installed 2.5 before the swype/email zip was released.
How do i go about installing the update? Go through CWM and install zip from SD card?
Quite new to flashing and don't want to do anything wrong...

New 802 Radio

Any feedback on the new 802 GB radio? How's it seem to be working? I've been using the MR2 forever cause it has worked the best for me.
Just thought I would ask before I try it.
Been running the last couple days... Get better 4g lock in fringe areas... Overall feels stapler..
Sent from my A05PTH3ORYB0LT using Tapatalk
Seems okay so far. Might have gotten better bat life on 2.5.
Thunderbolt CM7 1.3
Tiamat 1.0.4
I'm getting better data reception. Getting 3 bars 4G in the hospital I previosly couldn't get a lock
tbolt ^_^_^
Battery life??? Better?
New 802 radio
I have not tried it yet, I am running BAMF 3.0 4.9
Anyone try it yet?
I will probably flash the new radio tonight to see how it works.
i loaded this and there is no difference in the signal from MR 2.5, although my TB is in a 3G-only city so no idea if there's a difference with 4G or not.
i haven't tested out battery life yet though as the phone's been charging a few hours now(extended battery).
oh and i'm using A05PTH3ORY V1.4X
i don't use leaked beta radios. i don't need a brick.
well, i gave it a go. im using DT's AO5 however the hell you spell it AOSP rom. that and i have the 2750mAh extended battery. normally, when i go to bed, the next day the battery has lost 10 - 15%.... with this new radio, the battery was at 98% when i went to bed, then 69% when i woke up. i think im going to switch back to the MR 2.5
Can we please begin using RUU numbers to describe radios. The actual radio number most people use is just one of them and MRblah, blah, blah doesn't tell you jack because there's 2 MR2 radios, and it seems people are just inventing MR numbers now. Someone posted they were using the MR3.25 radio somewhere today. WHAT??? MR3???
The 802 radio has given me betterblife in both MonolithTh3ory and Cl3anTh3ory roms. Can't hurt to try it its benefited lots of us so far.

v2.3.3 offical release SGH-T959 Canada version on T-Mobile?

Is there anyway or is it possible to install Canada version T959 v2.3.3 on T-Mobile T959?
I am using TeamWiskey NextGen v2 with Voodoo enable. How can I do it if possible.

Not as is. It's not the same as the Tmo Vibrant. It's basically the same as the i9000 I believe so you may as well install one of the i9000 ports we have here.
Would this be an indicator that the T-Mobile 3G Vibrant will be getting the upgrade?

Probably not... The Samsung Captivate gets Gingerbread 2.3.5 via leak but doesn't look like T-Mobile and Samsung are going to shine that light this way.

I have build that version to work on Vibrant.
It works but is Official build no root no nothing, clean install with telus kernel and all the staff.
You need GB bootloader though.
Are you interested?
Its 233mb that why i am asking, i have 1024kb upload speed on perfect conditions so not easy to upload it and in the time new builds have 2.3.7

If you want to root it you must go in fascinate thread and find the root for it, its there follow that it wll work because everything on this are stock.

Best & Most Stable ROM?

Like the title says...
What is the most stable & lag free ROM out there for X2? I'm on Eclipse 2.1 & this wifi problem is killing me softly. I was on CM7 but I kept getting problems with it.
If you have a ROM w/ a certain version of it that you'll suggest, I'm all ears.
In what problem did u have with cm7? If ur willing to go back I'm sure we can help solve them, unless u mean HDMI.
Sent from my MB870 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
im looking into romming too and was wondering the same thing. I want a rom that is glitch free.
I don't really have any problems with CM7 other than wifi can take a while to connect...you may have to toggle it off and back on to get it to connect. I have not recently had any issues with it staying connected. I can't think of any other issues I've had. My wife has a DX2 stock and I used it for about 5 minutes today....that's enough to drive me crazy
Quick Note....Search bar. This topic has been raised twice in the past month.
But while I'm here I might as well put into it... I've been on CM7, MIUI, Molten and Eclipse and Eclipse is hands down the best. I don't know that bugs actually exist on this rom. Miui has seriously video issues, Molten isn't up to snuff over all, Cm7 is solid but the wifi connection is what turned me away, it is annoying as he'll even with the wifi fix scripts. Eclipse doesn't have a single on of these problems. Not one.

When I was on CM7, when I reboot it gets stuck at the boot screen at times. Followed all directions to the letter & i had a wifi problem also like some ppl had. that's what drove me away
Are you sure you are on the correct android build? Cm7 is fairly stable but it foes have its share of issues, none major by any means though. I would say eclipse is the most stable for the x2, and that's comming from a guy who runs cm7. Double check that you are on 2.3.5 for eclipse and not 2.3.4.

I finally dumped cm7 after three months of the wifi disconnects. Aside from that it's my favorite. I'm running eclipse 2.1 and it is solid, zero wifi problems sooooo happy about that. I do miss some of the cm7 features (long press pull down widget, swipe away notifies, lock screen options, overall customization). So far I'm sticking with eclipse 2.1.

Kinda makes you wonder why the /418 ud has the same kernel as /413 & not the popular /412?
Also my Mx2 port won't work w/o /413.
edit This may have come about cuz the /412 has kernel 00007 & /413 has 00008.
Eclipse 1.3 was very stable in every way. Does not have all the goodies in 2.1 but is very stable. Cm7 is good also with a little massaging lol

CadenH is referring to your kernel. It is from a particular blur rom & unalterable.
So for example if the rom wants you on 234 leak . Your kernel will be ...00005... & the rom replaces all but that & other locked partitions.
Has anyone heard/know of a fix for the LP icon changing in the MIUI ROM, I would say by far that the MIUI ROM has the most features and by far is the sexiest and one of the better ROM's out there. I am brand new to Android and have been in the iPhone Modding world for too long.
Once I get these files systems figured out and learn a little bit more, Ill be building and tweaking ROMs for the DX2

im getting good speeds (3-5d 1-2u) with jeets new ics blaze modem 5/28
Ill try yours 5/29 and report later.
I was using one of the GSII radios for ICS before on OnlyOne and CM9 with poor results. I was frustrated with constant notifications of data service loss and an inability to pick up EDGE/3G/HSPA+ after leaving an area with no reception. That issue could only be fixed with a restart. Additionally, speed tests were irrelevant due to ridiculous latency issues, but I never got anything above 1-2mbps.
I flashed your radio this morning and could not be happier. My downtown San Francisco speed tests were seeing 80-150ms latency with 8mbps down and 1.5mbps up. Thank you for saving my Note!
