when i try flashing bcblend kernel and also Rcmix kernel my shooter wont boot up all the way, it go's to the htc screen then turns off??? on offf on off on off?? i dont understand?? maybe them kernels dont like my phone?? any thoughts? thanks
What rom are you using, you have to make sure the kernel is compatible with your rom. Especially, 2.3.3 roms and 2.3.4 roms cannot mix kernels.
im using Infectedrom Eternity?? i thought thats a good rom to run wit rc kernel?? im using twrp 2.0 recovery.. i got 1.40 hboot.. rooted wit revol??

I've tried several sense 3.5 roms hydro-bliss etc and I get stuck at the splash screen. Is it something I'm doin wrong?

What is you hboot?? If its 1.50 then you have to flash the rom through fastboot and not recovery. Any 3.5 rom would require the kernel to be updated and you can't flash a kernel through recovery if you have hboot 1.5.
1.5 can flash kernels.

Can you guys make this a little more clear?
bc heres MY issue. I have hboot 1.5 and I havent been abke to flash ANY new roms, including MIUI and 3.5 roms etc. I can still flash back to my nandroids of stock, and Virus Infected, but I cant go to any new roms.
This really sucks because im a flashaholic. can you please help me with this issue, OR tell me how to flash a 3.5 rom in any other way?
I want to overclock and am about to install the synergy rom for fast filesystem. can i install rcmix to overclock with setcpu? im on 2.3.4 latest update rooted with htc method.
I'm on Eternity and using RCMIX 3D v11. Working well. My experience over all the roms I've tried (but not Synergy) is that it is a solid kernel and overclocking is good and stable.
You can do this but if you are hboot 1.50 you MUST flash the rom through fastboot on the pc to get the kernel to stick or you can extract kernel and flash seperately. I believe post 2 of synergy or eternity thread has detailed instructions. Also if you search Joeykrm's posts he has answered this very question in great detail also. Sorry I'm on xda app or id link you.

Since upgrading to new version of twrp, I can't lock on a Wifi signal. Any suggestions?
I have removed the wifi device and tried readding it.

Have u tried reflashing ur kernel? What hboot u got?
Your kernel got screwed up when you flashed it. Wipe and reflash.
My thoughts exactly.

Yip known issue if your kernel flash went bad You were right lol.
Yeah I've learned first hand on that especially with this 1.5 hboot
I'm running virus rom with stock kernel. It's 1.4 (preorder. Phone)

Just reflash ur kernel and that should solve it.
Where can I find it here stock kernel to flash? Or are you talking about reloading the recovery?

On virus's page he has a list of kernels. Or you can check out his website infectedrom.com .
Still having a clarity issue. I'm running the virus rom, with stock evo kernel. I'm not using any custom kernels. I did reflash the older released rom.

Ok bro what kernel is in that rom? U should just have to flash the kernel not the whole rom.
Ugh... The kernel is the stock HTC evo 3D kernel. He didn't start adding custom kernels until the 3.0 nightlies. I reflashed the the older rom again. I'm thinking it must be the new twrp recovery. Any thoughts to switching over clockworkmod? Been afraid to make that jump. I miss the rom manager, but the twrp touch screen is cool.

I too was having issues with the 2.0 twrp, so I went back to 1.1.1 and haven't had any more issues. Don't get me wrong the whole touch thing was awesome but I was having flash issues. So try the 1.1.1 and see if that helps. I personally have never used cwm
all sorts of members have been posting that they have hboot 1.50 with dev unlocked and are easily flashing ics sense 3.6 roms without installing the virgin mobile firmware.. i havent had such luck... and i cant figure out why. i have tried both the fastboot bypass method and also buying the EXT4 recovery and installing through that as well....nothing works....rom boots up and one the setup screen comes on ...it freezes and boot loops .... can some one that has flashed the new sense roms with hboot 1.50 please help me ...and tell me what ive missed or done wrong...
Same problem here, been told I need to downgrade hboot to 1.4 and s-off...too much of a noob for that! Lol

I had the same problem as you guys. Try flashing the rom and chad's ics leak kernel in 4ext recovery and see if that does it. This worked for me.
thanx

You need to flash new firmware, and I believe you can't unless you are s-off

Hello, i had the same problem as u do. But cool ICS has saved me. I have installed Cool Ics V11 and have his kernel V1.7. Also I`m s-on, unlocked by htc dev. Just follow his instruction how to install the rom. When u finish with installing the rom u need "flash image GUI" app that u will use to flash the kernel. u can find the post about it but its not complicated to use. When u finish that u can use "System Tuner" or "System Tuner pro" to configure your system performance... I de-clock-ed my cpu a bit, set minimum freq to 192 mhz loaded the Gov. that says powersawer; all that u can finde whan u click on cpu icon... u can experiment and see what is the best for your usage....

Hi, I`m also s-on, unlocked by htc dev and have a bit old Firmware. Cool ics works for me. I flashed the v11 rom, got boot loops, tried to fix them by flashing boot.img via fastboot from v11 rom and it did not work so i tried to flash boot.img from v7 rom and it worked i`m telling you all this because it may happen to you just in case to be prepared if u decide to flash. when you install the rom then you need "flash image gui" to flash the kernel. It is easy to use. Cool rom has good battery life...

Hey there bulutbeyaz ... also kernel v1.9 is great

eh i paid for this, anyway worth it my phone is very stable and have last long battery now.
You can find flash gui free, newer roms require new firmware thats why you had boot loops on cool version11

Yeah i thought as much, but when you are s-on and there is no hope to get s-off ( tried many ways and only bricked my phone)... you try crazy things .. now v11 works with flash-ed boot.img form v7 and i don`t want to touch anything

I am using Cool-ICS since I find it the only most complete ROM without any major bugs. Its kernel v1.9 has just been released and I can vouch for it that the battery life has only become better. You don't need to be s-off to install this one. Just update your phone to the latest hboot and firmware, unlock it via HTCdev method (that's actually the easy method and which I used as well). Download the Cool-ICS ROM and its latest kernel separately. Do a nand backup in 4ext. Use super wipe (optional) to wipe everything. Flash the ROM first and after booting up first check the kernel version. Then go into recovery again and flash the latest kernel for the ROM.
Cheers.
