CM7 Failed - Help Please - TouchPad General

hi guys,
currently running a cm7 install, i dropped the ACMEInstaller into a new folder on the hp touchpad called "cmsetup", restarted it, held the volume up button as the screen turned off and the pad is jin usb mode, but my pc doesnt detect the palm (webos) device. so i can't run the novacom command. i've had a look in devices and printers and it has a yellow exclamation mark next to the device (palM) i've tried troubleshooting it with no joy.
any ideas on how i can get my pc to pick it up when its in usb mode after the device restart
thanks in advance...

Hey bro I feel your pain but you might try posting this in the other HP Touchpad forum to get some help with this issue. Just don't select the WebOS option in the top right corner just HP Touchpad. I did the install myself last weekend with no problems. There's some smarter people over there than me. Good luck.

Thread moved to proper forum.

[Help] Touchpad will NOT boot into recovery. Device manager says QHSUSB_DLOAD

I was having issues getting my Touchpad to upgrade to 3.0.4 via Webos Dr. Every time it would get to a certain percent (maybe 40% maybe 80%) then give error "We were unable to reset your device. So I closed it restated the Touchpad and repeated.
I tried to just recover to 3.0.2 and the same thing. I tried a different computer same think.
The last time I tired the Touchpad shut down and wont boot to recovery.
I have it plugged into my computer and if I hold Power+Middle bottons I can hear my computer detect it but nothing happens.
Please Help!!
I have been trying what is discussed in this thread.

It means call HP Tech Support.
EDIT:
It means to call HP because you need to send the device to them for repair. Sorry.
Have u installed android? QHSUSB is the "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics".
When the touchpad is installed as "Palm" try the "ACME Installer" method.

[Q] Problems with Touchpad mounting to computer

I tried looking around all over for a solution. Initially, I updated webOS to the latest version, and installed Android CM7 3.5 to check it out, and everything worked out fine. Installed the .zip to get the Marketplace fix, and next reboot I noticed when plugged in the Touchpad wasn't recognized that it is connected to my computer. Couldn't get the USB connection on in notification tray, unless there's something else I have to do to bring it back.
I went back into webOS, same thing. Rebooted many times, power on + volume button, big USB logo, nothing happening. I may of made a bad mistake here, I performed a full reset in webOS but Android still works fine and asks me what system I want to boot into when I turn on the device.
Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fully restore my device? I am kind of lost because all the solutions I've seen on the web involve the touchpad being connected to the PC and transferring things to it. When I hold the power button and volume up and get the big USB icon, Windows says the device can not be recognized, one of the usb devices has malfunctioned.
Thanks so much in advance.
Got a similar problem. Windows shows me the Device as removable storage, but when I click on it it says "please insert a disk"... Same in webOS and Android.
Edit: Nevermind, the good old "have you tried turning it on and off again" worked. (Desktop).
Check your pc and ensure you have the novacom drivers installed. Novacom is used to access the touchpad when connecting to the pc. Without it, the pc cannot see the touchpad.
Sent from my Touchpad using Tapatalk
Novacom drivers are definitely installed, I used them to install CM7.

[Q] Ainol Novo 7 Paladin - not able to boot and recover

Hi,
i have problem with my Novo 7 Paladin. One week ago i installed Google Maps update. After that my tablet was very strange. Sometimes when it go to sleep it won't wake up. I had to press power on again. Later that week there was some graphical glitch on screen (blinking colors). And now i can't boot at all. So i tried the SD card method to recover system. The problem is that i can't boot. Combination of keys like VOL+ and POWER or VOL+ and RESET doesn't work. Then i tried the original USB Boot Tool from Ainol. This tool doesn't work either.
USB Boot Tool
1) install correct USB drivers (press VOL+ and plug USB)
select drivers from tool/drivers/4770
2) unplug USB and start USBBootTool.exe
3) press VOL- and plug USB
4) it says BOOT... please waite0% (attachment boottool.JPG)
5) after some time of waiting the error apears (attachment boottool2.JPG)
Can someone help me please?

Tested, same result.
when you connect your tablet to the PC, do you see any devices appear/disappear?
if you use linux, try lsmod (LSMOD lowercase) to see if your tablet shows on the list.

If it appears in devices, it's not completely dead. I don't have enough windows experience, but other people had occasional success installing correct drivers and reflashing the device using Ingenic USB Boot Tool or something like that. If the reflash process does not start, most probably it's because you have installed incorrect drivers.
