Thanx man !!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y06-_gKXcSE
Thank you! Could you explain me how to flash the gapps?
Edit: Thanks, i found some instructions. Just restart, boot clockwordmod and select the zip and install it.
Thanks for the upload, but when I installed it, I would keep receiving errors saying "NFC Service has stopped" nonstop.
Am I missing something here?
Install ICS on cm7 3.5 not on xron rom. It fixed all issues for me
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda premium
For some reason I get:
"Opening update Package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/gapps_ics_4.0.3_v9.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted."
Wth...?
Edit: Never mind it worked. I just redownloaded the .zip, restarted the touchpad, went back into recovery, mounted the device and replaced the old zip with the new one, selected it again and it installed properly. Thanks for the link.
is the market app on this flashing zip for tablets?
I used - gapps_ics_4.0.3-rogue_v5.1-signed - and it seemed to work fine for me, got my apps amd market works.
Broken Link
The link seems to be broken, does anyone know of a working link? I tried Googling it but seems hard to find.
Cheers!
Russian-if you can manage to get Goo manager installed, it will pull the gapps down for you.

After doing the Nightly CM9 upgrade from CM7, I installed the GAPPS file gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip. The installation became very unstable and crashed constantly. I guess that was the wrong GAPP file, right? As I'm very new to this Android stuff, the question is which GAPP is right for the HP. Is there a Tenderloin version that is stable and verified?
I was able to upgrade to the official CM9 20120712 nightly and have been stable ever since. By pulling down only the apps I had previously (less than 20 ), I have been very happy on CM9.
In the first post of the CM9 Nightly thread here, there is a link to the Gapps you should be using which is 20120429 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568685
Problems with installing gapps on Touchpad
Wondering which gapps apk to use with the HP Touchpad. When I try to install the gapps apk(s) I get a message at the setup screen that states "sorry the setup wizard has stopped". At that point there is not way out of that screen so a reboot is necessary. But the reboot takes me right back to the setup screen and the same issue. So, used a NanDroid backup to restore. But would really like to get the Google Apps. Especially the Playstore and Google Maps. Thanks!
I currently have the Classic Nerd Butta OS running on my HP Touchpad. Perhaps that is the issue? Is there a gapps apk that will work with that OS?
i use the cm9 one from here http://goo.im/gapps (4.0.3-4)
ClassicNerd Butta and CM9
Isn't ClassicNerd Butta really a modified CM9 OS, or not ?
---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:48 PM ----------
Finally, Google Playstore app is now working on my HP Touchpad with Butta (ICS).
Thanks to x000x for the tip.
The file that made the Playstore work is: gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Google said this could not be done because the Touchpad is not certified by them.
But "we" showed them.
So nice to be able to access the Playstore now.
This solved several issues that developed when I installed ClassicNerd.
But, ClassicNerd seems to have fixed the wifi issues I had with CM7.
Can now watch Netflix streaming video without constantly resetting the wifi using Wifi Fixer app.
Also rebooted my router as I did have a few connect issues after install of ClassicNerd.
So, anyone with wifi connect issues may want to try that first.
Thanks again to x000x for the tip about this zip file. :good:

Thanks a million for this one, I have my r/w permissions back in Root Explorer!! As I'm still a noob at all this I haven't been able to get adb working so this is a huge help with the HC build.
Thanks again!!
P.S. This also completely removed my gmaps as one other comment mentioned. I haven't checked to see if I can find it on the market however. As far as I'm concerned it's worth the trade though!!

In my post above I hadn't really spent much time with the nook after installing your file and wanted to report that it also removed gmail and borked the market. I tried to clear the cache, etc. with no luck so I just wiped the nook and went back to a clean install of the hc emmc v4.
Would you be able to put a version of this up that just has the scripts for the root access and the adhoc wifi? It would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks again.
Is anyone able to get Google Maps to locate via Wifi using these files?

Confirmed. I tried to download a copy from market and it just FCs. Sorry about that. I was able to get gmail working by pushing a back up copy of the gmail.apk into my /system/app folder. I try to work on a fix tonight.
Not sure all the permissions are 100% correct, but if you put all the files in a single location, this is the script I've been using to install them on SDCard based installs of Honeycomb v4.
EDIT: Removed script, new one is on Page 3.
so i already had maps installed and it doesn't work now. honestly don't know if it worked before. LOL. i didn't install it myself, so i never fired it up. anyway, tested it out and i get the following FC:
(process com.google.android.apps.maps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

edit: never mind i switched from landscape to portrait and it's there now but does not function
The wpa_supplicant file was causing an error for me. My wifi wouldn't turn on at all.
I deleted it and repushed it and it worked.

This worked great. The script ran with no errors or other problems. Gmail, talk and gallery all look good, but Maps is nowhere to be found, either on the Nook or in the market.
Any idea how I can pick it up? There's no maps APK that I can see anywhere on the device.
Like this, and appreciate the work, but out of my greedyness I shall ask for more; any chance that a modified build.prop or fix for not seeing apps (angrybirds, xplane, etc) could be included in an update?
Hi,
I am new to the forum and new to rooting/flashing mods as well. I have the AT&T version of the Galaxy S2. I just recently rooted and flashed the most recent CM9 nightly on my phone and everything worked great except a, what i hope to be, minor issue. When I first rebooted my phone after the flash, everything looked great but It was apparent my GAPPS zip had not installed correctly as I couldn't see my e-mail or the Play Store (obviously I'm needing to recover things). I re-flashed GAPPS, rebooted, and I saw the Play Store and my e-mail. My problem is when I opened the Play Store, it got stuck on the sign-in. It eventually signed in, I guess (my account has a check by it if I select "manage accounts"). SO, i'm signed in but nothing is loading. I cannot do any searches or retrieve apps. Baiscally, I can't use the Play Store. My phone works fine, otherwise, and it seems the rom flashed cleanly. I followed every instruction very carefully. Please help! I need to retrieve my backup from Titanium and use the market. Don't even have my wi-fi at this point! Thank you in advance if someone can respond quickly.
UPDATE: I think i have 4.0.3 gapps instead of 4.0.4 which is obviously my CM version..this is the entire problem? I just re-flashed *without* wiping data and I'm still getting the same problem. I have the check mark but it's not loading. Cannot turn on wifi. Now Market is not updating to Play Store. What is my problem? Sorry for so much detail.

install the small size of gapps file...
it will work for you....
thank you very much...
Installed CM 10 on the my Touchpad last night. Successfully dual-booting now. Install went well. Everything expected to work is working. Meaning the camera is not. Also the the USB port is not working at all (power or connectivity). Luckily the Touchpad is charging like a champ on the Touchstone.
The one part of the install that was NOT successful was the install for the Play Store app (gapps.jb.20121122). After the install was complete the gapps ZIP file was/is still in the CMINSTALL directory. So, what has to happen to force the install of the gapps?
I was able to get to the web-based Play Store from the Touchpad through Android Central. Even able to "install" a couple of apps although it would not allow me to select the Touchpad ........ only the Razr Maxx HD that I have. So the install was sent to it instead.
Thanks in advance for any help in getting the Gapps file to install. As so many others would like to get additional apps.
Community needs a good standalone APK installer
I noticed ACMEInstaller3 is still looking for a gapps-gb zip file, dating back to the CM7 days when ACMEInstaller was first created. You can boot into Clockworkmod or TWRP and install the zip with gapps manually, the zip you mention is the correct one for CM10. Then when you reboot you will be asked to log in to your Google account
In the future post in the Touchpad specific forums to get a quicker reply.

Hi guys,
First of all, thanks for the great community, good to be here
I've just got my mediapad at a bargain as 2nd hand and installed 'CleanICE 1.5 Rom (ICS 4.0.3). It has a really great response and installed with such little effort on my part so cheers h25p. I considered a couple other ROMS too, particularly the one posted by 'after_silence', http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856571 CM10 but it is said to have issues with HDMI out (which is an important feature to me) so I haven't tried that one yet.
What I'm trying to do now is boot in to Recovery (so I can install GoogleNow as per this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1843457) but can't seem to figure it out for this ROM.
Has anyone had success doing so with ICS? Or better yet, anyone with experience of the 'glitchy HDMI' on the CM10 Jellybean ROM (is it really bad or is it workable most of the time)?
Cheers guys!
[edit]
used auto recovery installer and got CWM on the device now (after_silence provides link to it here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856571)
i thought installing that would wipe everything else so to other newbies, don't be concerned. it's just installing the recovery manager and nothing else is affected
after that i went and installed the 'GoogleNowforICSInstaller_v1.1.zip' (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1843457) from sd card in CWM but sadly when it boots up there is still no google now. any ideas on where to proceed from here?
Maybe our recoveries doesn't support aroma installer. Try to flash twrp instead of cwm or put manually lib and apk/apks from zip to your system folder (same as it is located in zip), set perrmisions to apk and reboot.

thank you for your suggestion, it has got me one step closer (well I suppose anyway). perhaps from here it is just something to do with the gnow port just not being compatible with my rom? after I install it manually and recheck all the permissions via my file manager, whenever i go to google search it simply says "unfortunately, google search has stopped."
Try to find another moded version. I tried it on stock fw (ICS) few mounths ago and it worked.

Thanks, also posted a logcat dump for one of the Gnow developers and they said there was a lot of location / graphics card errors and also suggested to try another ROM. Ended up flashing JB 4.1.1 AOKP for mediapad 30.1 Final (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1876676) and enjoying GoogleNow which comes built in with it.
So far I'm really surprised at how much better it is - initially thought my battery was failing ( purchased my device 2nd hand) but the drain is really low now with this ROM. Seems a bit faster over all too. Didn't test out the HDMI function yet but hope that's not as bad as it sounds. Keeping my eyes open on the development of the 4.2.2 nightlys thread and will probably head over to that once HDMI and bluetooth is working a bit better there
Hey all,
As I don't develop CyanogenMod or work for their team, I didn't think it'd be right to make a post in the Development sub-forum. Anyway, I came across a post over on Android Police stating that CM 13 Nightlies are now availble for 'manta'. I've downloaded the latest Nightlie and flashed it on my Nexus 10 along with the lastest Gapps, and everything works great. You can find the Nightlies here. All credit goes to the CyanogenMod team for keeping our Nexus 10 alive!
In my case the gapps are too big (even micro and nano) while pico gets successfully flashed but then Google Play Services crash all the time.
Did you flash the very first nightly from Jan 9?
I have the same issues: nano gapps too large for system, can't install this way... any solutions?
Edit: pico gapps work, no issues so far
I can't even install the pico gapps. Which package did you use OP?
Edit: Tried again with a full wipe and it worked using the pico-apps. Have had no crashes of any Google services so far. I used the latest CM nightly to flash.

I used the newer one both times. Only difference was full wipe.
I'm having zero luck on getting Google Play Services installed. Tried the nano, now the Pico. Same as above users, the install will go just fine but will give me crashes every second on screen.
I read here and there that this crash on CM13 (other devices) can also be caused by a) Privacy Guard settings for Google Play services, or b) allowing Google Play Services to access "Phone" and "Contacts" or something to that effect.
Still playing around trying to get this to install.......
Edit: Did a full wipe of everything, including System/Data, and it all works now. I'm all setup! I'm getting an error on Google "Now on Tap", saying "The app has stopped" everytime I try to use it. I remember seeing the fix somewhere about something in Accessibility settings. But I'm having no luck remembering what it was or finding the fix again.

Google play services were not working for me at first either. I decided to try and sideload the latest Google Play Services apk to see if would fix the problem. Thankfully, it did fix it. You can find the apk file here.
Install Opengapps nano or pico http://opengapps.org/ and full wipe before install.
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/127116/
Anyone tried enabling f2fs?
Good news, finally got "Now on Tap" working.
I went to settings. I searched for "Assist", and selected "Assist and Voice Input".
(I honestly can't find in the settings where it is, I can only find it by searching within settings.)
The "Assist App" was set to "Google App". I selected "None", then went back and set it to "Google App" again...and all was good!
So, looks like I am finally up and running. Another note; the Marshmallow apps restore didn't seem to restore for me. I even used my phone to setup my account, all was linked fine. It got my identity and set it, but did not restore any apps. Not a huge deal.

1GB RAM
I succesfully installed CM13 with Opengapps pico and its running very smooth so far. But in settings it's showing me that I only have 1GB of RAM instead of 2GB. Did anyone else notice this?
Edit: 1,1GB to be exact. Very strange.
Edit 2: I read in another thread that about 900MB is reserved for the GPU so that's probably why it is showing just 1,1GB for the system.
Hei, ref doing a full wipe, is that before doing the pico gapps install, and exactly what is meant by full wipe? Thanks

Yes before installing Pico. I did a wipe after too, just to be sure. A full wipe means cache and system/data. If you have TWRP a normal wipe includes all of this.

Does CM13 support loop device?
I need to run linux chroot (via linux deploy); that requires that the ROM supports loop device. Request to those who have successfully install CM13 on N10: Could you install the free app "loop device checker" and check to see if loop device is supported?
