that will be a VERY interesting feature to have. no doubt
thks for pointing that out maybe z and/or j can work on it?
if i am not wrong, CWRec is not supported in x10. that is why Xrec is created in the first place.

Think it would be implemented soon, but that would imply that devs have to use edify scripting instead when making zips.

Are you using the cwm that you get from the android market because as far as I know that doesnt support the mini pro.
Try installing the cwm recovery that is for our phones. Can be found in this forum and then use that to backup your rom.

I have recently rooted my device by using the instructions by - nabeel (on the sony ericsson forum).
So please help me, thanks in advance.
I am currently on android 4.0.4
build number--4.1.B.0.587
bootloader--unlocked
kernel version--2.6.32.9-perf [email protected]ldhost # 1
Is it even possible to install cwm recovery on my phone? If not then how am i supposed to install a custom ROM?
Unlocked bootloader?
Why don't u try flashing custom kernel?
Go to xperia 2011 section for best info.

hello all i would like to know the safest way i could root a sony xperia p and install clock mod recovery and also what roms are present for it
Use backup/restore root, flash CWM through fastboot and you'll find the roms here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1729
Sorry, but you could do a bit of searching.

Search for cwm 1.0 for locked bootloaders my friend..There is no need to use custom rom only..
Just use the root with binary restore,

Well, flash your phone to ICS and then root it. After rooting install CWM Recovery and then install a JB zip from the recovery. The whole procedure is given in Development section.

He is on JB and want a recovery which works in JB. So flash ICS then root then install CWM and then install JB ROM. So he will have both JB and recovery. I think he want this only else if I am wrong please correct me.
Lol guys now i don't know what to do.
You mean if i was on JB i can install the CWM one? Will it work fine? You mean this right?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020895
Since you are on locked bootloader, you need to:
1)root your device following the steps on Xperia p development section(doomlord toolkit)
2) install cwm using recoveryx on your pc!

That one would work once you have root.
Depands which JB, DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit only works for 6.2.A.1.100.
