Anyone else having problems with Polaris office and ICS,
When creating or editing a document using the keyboard dock, or SwiftKey, it keeps putting in two letters and the back space doesn't work.
Is this a software issue or is there something wrong with my prime or am I just doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance

My keyboard dock works perfectly with Polaris Office. So does Swype, though it's not fully compatible with ICS yet. I don't have SwiftKey installed.
Thanks pdagal.
It's fine in sheet but in document it duplicates the first letter, eg if I type T and select The, it keeps the T I typed and adds The to it, giving TThe, very odd.

This sounds like a spell check feature or auto correct to me.
multiple users have reported issues with polaris and swiftkey. myself included. you're not alone

Ya, this is a bug with SwiftKey.... It was reported to SwiftKey as a bug several months ago (I think way back in June) as it was originally discovered on the TF101. So who knows when it is going to get fixed.
Thanks for the replies.
Further investigation has revealed that whilst the keyboard dock is connected swiftkey is still the default keyboard and changing to the Asus or Android keyboard fixes the issue for both the on screen keyboard and the dock.
If I want to continue to use swiftkey I have to remember to change the default each time I use Polaris and then change it back again afterwards. Pain , But at least I know the problem now.

Anyone having problems with the Google Voice widget crashing? After awhile, my widget is just blank. Removing it and then re-adding the widget works but it's annoying to keep doing that.
Yea happens to me. Some times it comes back on its own or on a reboot.
I think it is an ICS issue. Happened on my GSII, Inspire, and Captivate too.

Yup happens to me too. It goes blank or doesn't update properly.

the thing definitely has problems on this tablet. don't know if this is necessarily an "ICS" issue as they just updated it with the new ICS look, one has to imagine they at least tested it on their own galaxy nexus. more likely it's an issue only affecting ICS tablets.
on my tf201 the GV widget has so many issues it's useless. sometimes it shows data but the data isn't current. other times it just goes blank. removing the widget and putting a new one down fixes but i wouldn't call that a solution.
and although this is OT, i can't believe there is no google talk widget. i want desktop with gmail/gv/gtalk on it and right now google is scoring 1 for 3.
So no one knows of a fix for this?
I have a galaxy nexus and have the problem as well.
I'm having the issue as well, is everyone still having this problem?
For me all I have to do to get it back is go into the app and let it sync.

I can't use prime dock's keyboard spacebar to insert space for search string between words; running latest official ICS... spacebar behaves like tab key... anyone having same issue?

actually, i came on here to post this exact issue. i just ran into it this morning. it is pretty wierd.
i think it actually worked once, and then it behaved just as you described. every time i hit space, it acted as a tab. i couldn't put two words in the search box.... it kept tabbing away every time i hit space.
i tried taking the tab out of teh doc and using teh softkeyboard, and teh space key worked fine. any thoghts?
I am stuck on unrooted, stock .21.
Had this problem for a while now. I always have to restart Youtube to fix the problem
Maybe you don't have the Asus Keyboard checked under Language & Input?

same here..... just use the search key on the keyboard and search away with no problems.

dock keyboard is selected and is default and works perfectly other than the mentioned youtube only glitch. however; another trial yielded interesting result; removed the tablet and used soft keyboard, spacing via virtual keyboard's space bar within the search input box with no issues and reattached the dock and used dock keyboard's space bar, worked perfectly - I hardly use prime without the dock so will keep monitoring if at one moment same issue reappears.

I just bought a tf300 yesterday, and I keep get getting force closes and apps not responding. I know this is not the 300 forum but there isn't one yet. It's mostly stock launcher and browser. I'm considering returning it but that seems unnecessary for a software issue. Any thoughts?
it sounds like it could be a software issue.. did you update it after you took it out of the box? Try that and if that doesn't work you should reboot and try and clear your cache files.. GL and welcome to the TF300 WORLD!
I cleared the cache on my launcher and browser, seems to be good now. I cleared my browser several times and nothing, so it must have been the launcher causing trouble with everything. My keyboard even works better now! Only time will tell if it comes back, thanks for the tip.
Edit: i checked for firmware updates in settings and there was nothing, so either best buy did it or there isn't any.

I tried to install swype but it wont seem to work, i just get this: http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/9071/screenshot2012052211152.png
Can someone help me figure out what's wrong?
Same here, may be an issue with some custom asus stuff....
(Maybe the same which prohibits downloading the offline map for Wi-FI Finder?)
// edit: Reinstalling solved the problem
reinstalling? I tried reinstalling the swype downloader twice and it still gave me the error
Swype might not have been updated to work on ICS?
Just fyi, but the Asus keyboard also supports Swype-like text input. It might not have all of the same features included in Swype but it works basically the same way and as well.
IMO Swype is far less convenient when your keyboard is large like it is on the Transformer Prime. You just have to move your finger so much farther in order to hit letters and spell out words, but then again to each his own.
I was able to figure it out but thanks anyways
the newest swype beta is tablet compatible.
the keyboard itself is resizeable so you can actually use it with 1 thumb.
I can't explain it, nor give any scenario in which I would expect it to happen again, but fairly often (enough that I'm curious how many others are effected) as I'm typing and make an error, the delete key will delete entire words, phrases, lines, or intervals of, maybe, seven characters. This has been true with every firmware I've run, from out of the box stock ICS, to CM9, CM10, and now HB5.51(I think), as well as other keyboards, such as Swiftkey tablet X (and the new one), Swype, Hacker's Keyboard, and the stock ICS/JB keyboards, so I imagine this is an issue (forgive my lack of specific knowledge) with the software that receives input from the virtual keyboard. I do not yet own a keyboard dock, so I don't know if that would be affected. Anyone else see this? Is there a fix that I'm missing? Usually even the simplest issues are posted on here, but I haven't seen anything, so I'm kinda scared its just my issue. Thanks in advance!

I have run into a different issue with my Backspace key with the keyboard dock. Occasionally, while pressing the backspace key and deleting multiple characters it will stop functioning. In order to get it to work again I have to click on the screen in a different location and then back to the characters I am deleting it will work again.
I wonder if there is any correlation between the two.
