(Q) stock clock app - Motorola Photon 4G

I really like the clock that my wife has on her NS4G. Yet the Mopho doesn't have this. Is there any way I can pull the app from another build, say one of the CM'S?

I really like the clock from the Nexus S too. You might be able to pull it directly off her phone (have you tried backing it up with Titanium backup, then restoring it to your phone?). If not, there is a somewhat similar alarm clock in the Market... I think it's called Alarm Clock Plus?

It does some really odd stuff. I did try it and overslept one morning as my phone was stuck on the failed to boot 2 screen. I'm not sure if that was the cause or not, but it was the only recent change I had made to the phone.

any screen shots?
Just tried it out. For some reason, it constantly redownloads data everytime you switch tabs. Looks nice tho.

Me too. Did they make this so international users could access fb w/ an app? If not, I dont see the point
With this I can upload videos to facebook something I either couldn't figure out or missed On the market app, I like facebook $ better so far but will keep both

Yea at first I really liked this. Its originally I think from the samsung wave and its android market. But this thing lags a bit. I too went back to the original one. Anyone else and their thoughts on this

Hey, which battery app is that? I have battery indicator which is fine but it takes up a slot in the notification bar. I like the one you have that just takes the spot of vibrant's battery meter.
Looks pretty good. I loved the messages tab.

I had the same problem. You should go to the link in the post. I know its not supposed to matter, but I made my screen timeout longer. It was stuck each time.... So try that out, it might work for you

I spoke too soon. Its very slow and doesn't have alerts. The best alert facebook app is bloo from the market. The Samsung facebook app is really nice but it loads everytime you go to a new tab or actually update your status or reply to an update.

I also suggest bloo 1.5 but it's not on the market, gotta Google the apk. I hate the official app because it takes you to the mobile version mostly.

Status bar clock

Is there any way to remove the clock in the status bar on Nero V3?
Sent from my Galaxy S via XDA App
I wonder if removing the reference to the clock in the arrays.xml file in the framework-res.apk would work? Chances are its not that simple. Why dont you want a clock?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I know I use Beautiful Widgets so having both clocks is redundant, but I live with it. That being said, if I could remove it easily I would.
Why not just use a different launcher? I use adw ex launcher, which can give me the gingerbread look and get rid of the status bar. I haven't noticed any extra lag either.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I am using adw.ex and I also use clock... so yea.... having redundant times bother me.
I want to see my status bar for circle battery mod and other notifications. I hate seeing the clock up there.

been looking for this too... anybody?
I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to get rid of it, but I think you might just have an empty space where it used to be afterwards. You'd probably have to edit some XML files if you didn't want a huge waste of space on your status bar. I could be wrong though. I've never heard of anyone wanting to do such a thing. Do you guys just play with your launchers all day? You've never been in an app like the browser and been curious of what time it was? I think it would be a pain to exit an app every time I cared to know what time it was. To each his own I guess.

You could just lock the screen check the time instead of exit then unlock the screen and go back into what ever you were doin
You can try making a metamorph.

I'd just like to remove the AM/PM notification, ala Gingerbread, as this is the single most common element of the UI burned into the LED screen (probably since it's the most static).
Anyone have luck with this?
The statusbar clock is in the services.jar file. You'd have to know how to edit .smail's to take it out. There is a writeup on the EVO forum. Not sure if it can apply to the Galaxy S.

Screebl pro

Anyone tried this? Its free from amazon and my sensors dont seem to be interacting with the app. Thanks

I love this app it was a must have for me on all of my phones but it seams like this version has a bad battery bug with either this version of gingerbread or just our phones, so downloaded it for later but I wouldn't use it just yet unless you want to be on a charger most of the day
Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
Love the app too.
I've had it on every Android phone I've owned since the Samsung Moment.
However, after installing it on the Photon, I've noticed that it keeps on "de-activating" itself automatically if I don't have the notification icon box checked in the settings (To keep the notification bar clean, I try to keep notification warning settings off on most of my apps).

Animated Flip Clock Please???

Hey guys. I have lost count of the amount of hour I've spent researching and trying different animated flip clocks with weather. Does anyone have a link to something that does work??
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
This one does:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1175659
Read the entire thread for its bugs, and its for Sense based ROMs only.
I tried it last night and it didnt work. There was something In the square of the original flipclock. I could move it, but there was no clock. It looked as though there was nothing there at all.

Do a nandroid backup and try wiping your cache(dalvik or system )(one at a time)

[Q] video app with similar stock features?

I want to put an AOKP rom on my phone but there are a few little things I like about the stock Samsung Android apps. For one I like the smart alarms on the Samsung clock app but I've got that covered. I also like the video app that gives you a button to rotate the screen even if you have auto rotate off which I usually do. Is there an app that anyone knows of on the marketplace that can do this like stock?

Mx player might, but you know this is the i777 forums not the I747 right?

Yeah I noticed it after I posted it but figured it would pretty much be the same for either phone considering it's an app alternative so I didn't bother switching it over lol.
