I have http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790825 installed with cronos froyo. I use this firmware only for a week and my 160 MB internal memory is already half-used. How can it be so with A2SD? And how can i know for what it is used? Also how can i check, if A2SD really works?
I had no issues with APPS2SD under the Cronos. As I know it is automatically enabled. Do you have repartitioned memory card? I mean do you have ext2 partition created on you memory card? Fat32 in not enough (as I know). If you use Amon_Ra recovery use it to create partitions like this: 0MB for SWAP, 512-1024MB for EXT and rest of memory card for FAT32 to store you mp3 files, movies, whatever...
You can always try to run Titanium Backup and on first screen you can see how much internal memory you have, how much space in EXT (if exists) and how mych space in FAT partition you have...

Yeah, I have Ext2 partition on sd card.
Titanium Backup says:
Internal 87 free 173 total
SD 912 free 1.55 total
SD (a2sd) 283 free 359 total
What's wrong? What is half of internal memory used for?
hmm.... if you have Titanium Backup then you can force him to move your apps from internal memory to SD... but be careful I think it is not good to move "widget apps" to SD card. obviously DO A NANDROID first

I moved almost all apps to sd via titanium backup.
That's how it changed:
87/173 ----> 87/173 internal
912/1.55 ----> 810/1.55 sd
283/359 ----> 338/359 a2sd
Looks like it just moved all my apps from EXT2 to FAT32 partition. But there is still half of internal memory used.
check the dir called ".android_secure" on your SD card... probably your apps have been moved here. I guess this happen when "google's froyo apps2sd" system has been used. Did you try to move those apps through the menu item which also allows to move apps in Recovery? btw. check your PM
I updated my ZTE Blade to CM Nightly build yesterday. Before, I partitioned my memory card (sd-ext) to store all apps in it. Before I updated the ROM, my internal memory was 1 GB (i assumed that the partition acts as internal)
Now after updating the ROM, I again try to partition and use S2E to make the partition as internal memory. But my internal memory still shows 150MB.
How could I make my internal memory 1GB?
Hey guys I'm facing a problem. Today I decided to expand my EXT3 partition and after some nandroid backups and tries I succeded and finally have all previous programs working and a bigger EXT3 partition. But A2SDGUI still says the size of the partition is 206mb and I extended the partition to 610mb. Using SD Maid I could see all the info about storage and I have the following:
Android OS - 147/206mb (exactly the same as the EXT3 partition that A2SDGUI shows)
Internal data - 99.15/178mb
Sdcard - 627/1.23gb
App2SD - 268/610mb
I can confirm that the SD Card only has 2 partitions and I don't know why A2SDgui shows information about Android OS partition...I don't know if it's installing things there..I would transfer the apps back to internal memory and then sd card but I'll ran out of space and then I'll have to restore the whole system again probably...Oh and I have already unistalled and reinstalled A2SDGUI...
Help?
CM9 / ICS
I'm looking to find out how in the heck to install apps into the phone's internal SD partition.
To free up internal memory, I know you can format a microSD card into an EXT and FAT partition. Then you link apps using link2SD, freeing up more internal memory and storing most data on the microSD card, in the EXT partition.
I'd like to do exactly this, but with the internal SD partition acting as the microSD card. That is, format the internal partition into FAT and EXT, then use link2SD to link to the new EXT partition on the internal SD card.
Minitool Partition Wizard just will not do it. How is this possible? Is this even possible??
I read through the forums and I checked that the internal and external storage can be swapped in order to install more applications. On the other hand a swap partition can be made on the SD-card in order to use it as RAM. My question is can I use them at the same time? I mean if after getting external and internal sd changed [MOD] ExtSd2InternalSd v3|Increase your data storage|CMW zip|CM10|100% Working|
which storage will be used in this method [MOD] How to make and use a swap partition on the SD-card (SGS3) ?? So simplify the question. Will the second script recognise that my external SD card is the internal storage and the swap partition is on the internal storage?
