Did anyones Note shipping status switch from pending to in progress?
Mine has showed "in progress" since I got home from the store on Monday. Tracking number still shows "Pending shipment"
Mine says Processing..
Anyone know if a signature is required? I dont think I'll be home on friday to sign for it.
If it's shipping fedex you can go to fedex web site or call once you get your tracking number and have them "hold for pickup." The package will get delivered to a fedex store and you can pick it up at your convenience.

Sounds good I dont mind it just sitting outside my door if it does not require a signature.
Wouldn't last five minutes in my neighborhood . . . lol

Yes, a signature will absolutely be required on phone shipments. You can usually request to reroute the package to your local FedEx store if that's more convenient than missing the delivery.
Not sure if it's common with BB or AT&T orders in general, but I love the way Apple will allow you to pre-sign for the delivery to eliminate any hassles. Maybe that's possible as well? Good luck.

Just be sure to call every 30 minutes and ask if it's there . . . lol. Maybe I'll just go sit on the couch in the store and do homework until it gets there

That's the downside of ordering to the store . . . even if it does arrive at the store as early as Wednesday or Thursday, pretty sure they're not allowed to give it to you until Friday. If you order to your house and it shows up early there's nothing they can do about it.

You're confusing me. You had them ship it to your house or to a corporate store?
If you had them ship it to your house, there is a slim chance it may arrive a day or two early, but that is highly unlikely and nearly impossible if they ship next-day on Thursday.
If you had them ship it to the corporate store, then no, they will not give it to you until Friday even if it arrives today. Unless the manager is your uncle and really, really likes you . . . then, maybe.
Will FedEx leave it if I put a signed note on my door saying to do so?

It depends on whether or not it ships with the "indirect signature" option. Indirect signature allows a neighbor to sign, or allows you to leave a signed note asking them to hold if for pickup (if you ask nicely in the note and the driver is awesome and having a good day they might even come back after a certain time if you tell them on the note when you'll be home). FedEx doesn't usually leave stuff on the porch like UPS does, though.
And if it requires a "direct signature" then they won't even hold it for pickup until after the third attempt or some crap even if you ask them to. It's really annoying.
If you don't think you'll be home when it gets delivered I would recommend calling as soon as you get a tracking number and asking them to hold it for pickup. They will deliver it to a FedEx store instead of your house and then you can pick it up at your convenience. This will not work if you call after the first delivery attempt is made, though.

It also seems like most of the AT&T stores are only getting 10 for paycheck day (5 blue and 5 white), don't know about Best Buy but it seems like there will be a shortage on paycheck day as well. If the Note does sellout on day one I wonder what exuse the ifanboys will come up with this time.... I'm looking at you BGR! Lol
While I admit ibgr is a biased apple fanboy, I think ten per store sounds about right for most devices.

If people who placed preorders are not getting theirs, I don't believe it is because they are running out of stock at the warehouses. I ordered mine this morning and I have a FedEx tracking number for Friday delivery.
They have ordered more at this point but the initial order was really low

I think the reps are just making stuff up because they don't know what's going on. I called today because I coudn't remember if I did in-store pick-up or shipped to my house (ordered in-store on the 5th) and got the run-around with four different excuses for why the order was "in progress"/"pending" on the site. First it was because they said I didn't sign the T&A email, then it was stock issues, then it was because the phone doesn't come out until the 19th and another said I had to go back to the store to re-place the order.
Anyways, ended up just saying screw it and we'll just see what happens and see if the store calls to pick it up and then the tracking info appeared. I think they were just unprepared for it all.
my store got 10 blue, 5 white... i dunno if we are getting more tomorrow.
We didn't run out of stock.... there's only so many hours for shippers to ship phones, then it falls into next day which is tomorrow when they run past pickup times.

agreed. several AT&T employees who post here regularly have been telling us all to relax and not listen to those "Reps" that ppl are calling. if you havent gotten a tracking # yet by looking at this site https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/ (thanx jpeg42) then perhaps the # will show up by morning and according to them, it SHOULD be delivered tomorrow.

UPDATE: On second thought...I think I just got my tracking #
AT&T fails at launches that are non-iPhone as you guys have probably found out.
It's sad. The phone didn't even show up in our POS systems on the 5th, even with the SKU.
But you guys will be getting them either way.
I got paranoid and went to a AT&T core store on Super Bowl Sunday (first day we were supposed to be able to pre-order) and tried to pre-order it. Not only was there not a bunch of people waiting to pre-order it, the store employee had no idea that it pre-orders for the Note started that day. No other customer had come in asking about it by then (just after noon). So obviously, the demand isn't that bad. I'm pretty sure we'll be getting it in timely manner.

Not a lot of people even knows the phone exist. Probably won't even notice it until a few months when it catches up. Only problem with AT&T is the lag in customer service about any information about the product and some CRS has no idea about the phone.

Yeah..There shouldn't be any issues of walking into most retail stores within the first 2 weeks, and being able to purchase a Note right on the spot.
And based on the way Samsung did their SB commercial...I wouldn't be surprised if it's true that many Americans still have no clue what the Note is (and/or they flat-out don't care about it).
And this is considering that Samsung has advertised the Note a ton dating back to last September's IFA in Germany. But I think it's the case that it's far more recognized in the overseas markets.
Like in Asia...it supposedly has sold fairly well in Taiwan and Singapore...and they both are small nations overall.

Eh this is kinda bleh...
I pre-ordered from sprint and called them about 8 times trying to cancel so i could pre order from wirefly. ALL of them said i cant, only until its ABOUT to ship out then i can cancel it...
6 out of 8 of them kept saying how they dont have a date but its getting to the warehouse to be packaged on may 16th.
I doubt we will get it before the 18th. It will prob ship the 16th and come 2 days later in the mail on the 18th. =/

lol, Sprint's order status message changes like 4 times a day. This must be some kind of running gag they have going at their office...
When I called to confirm my ID for my order on Monday, he said preorders would be guaranteed delivery the day of or 1 day before the release date (depending on location). This seems to fall in line with that so I'm happy
who knows with them, just talked to my friend at the corp store on the campus and she said this to me
"Pre-order gets you out of the hassle in the store and waiting. That's about it."

Yea, I had gone into Sprint to talk to them about it and what they had said was it would arrive one day before or on the release day. However, with the iPhone 4s, they had so many pre-orders that they had arrived one day after launch day, so we will just have to wait and see.
With the Galaxy Nexus, it launched on a Sunday, and people had them in hand on Friday and Saturday. They usually do a pretty good job of trying to get them out before the official release date.
I know Best Buy and a couple other 3rd party retailers said they weren't going to release before the 18th, but I don't mind the wait. It'll give me a few more days with my EVO before I turn it into a dev phone

I am curious about this too. What i really want to know is if they will leave the package if I am not home at delivery. I would hate for it to get sent to a distribution center with weird hours and delay getting my hands on this thing.
Anyone ask sprint about this? I may call and ask a few questions if nobody did already.

Also told me that they will leave the box at the door if you are not home.

No problem. Also FYI while I was on the phone with Sprint I asked about my activation fee and he initially said that I would have to pay it. I explained that I ordered through sprint even though I could have gotten the phone much cheaper through a 3rd party and I would appreciate it if they would wave the fee to help offset the cost difference. He put me on hold for 1 minute and said the activation fee has been waved.
When I pre-ordered with Sprint, all I had to pay for, besides the phone, was shipping. No sales tax and no activation fee. The only thing that upset me was they wouldn't let me upgrade my line. I'm eligible 6/1, from when I bought my 3D. They wanted me to pay full price or wait. I then told I'd upgrade another line. I was looking at my account on line and told then the phone number for my Airave. He checked the eligibility and congratulated me. I couldn't believe it.

Sprint's warehouse and shipping are all managed by UPS. Their warehouse is literally at the end of the runway where the plane takes off. My Evo 3d preorder shipped at 12:30 am and I received it the same day it went on the plane. There is a video on UPS's website about this.

Many people who pre ordered the EVO 3D received the phone before release date. I remember being jealous and wishing I ordered through sprint instead of best buy. I don't see why the LTE would be any different. I'm planning/hoping to receive the phone next Wednesday or Thursday as they typically do overnight shipping.
Well, UK and US do, so why not us. First off, I hate not being in US/Canada/UK with their fancy "1-day delivery" option. I tried ordering from "mobilefun" India (they have a 2-day shipping option), but they just re-credited my money with a TOTALLY NOT vague: "We could not go through with your order due to `security reasons'". So I just resigned to doing it from play store, shipping 09/Jul...looks like I'll only get it late next week .
Anyone else ordering this? Did you have success from NON play-store places, or somewhere with a 2-day type option? I've never ordered from play-store in India before...how fast does the shipping REALLY take usually (I live in Bangalore).
And of course: OH GOD I CAN'T WAIT..AAAHHHH

Google and LG seems to have goofed up a lot with G Watch stock and shipment specially for india customers, I ordered few days back when it was showing as In Stock, then they gave 9th as dispactch date now when I called customer servoce theu had no clue then they emailed me that stock delays etc non sense and they dont know when it will be shipped
its a very unprofessional behaviour by google and LG for indian customers, how come an order placed while In Stock is not processed , ridiculous

SAME HERE. Though for me it showed as "shipping in 1-2 bussiness days" by the time I paid for it, so that was OK. It's half way through the day and still I don't have any shipping details.
On the plus side: the dude said it ships from Mumbai, if he ships by tonight using Bluedart or something I MAY get it before the weekend, or on Saturday.
On the minus side: No way the above is happening.
The *only* way to know what is going on right now is to collect info from people for whom it showed "shipping by 8th" have THEY gotten their shipped confirmation yet? I'm going to assume ours will ship 1 day after whenever theirs shipped. So please, anyone know anyone who has 8th as shipby date?

On indian play store it never showed shipped by 8th, it was always shipped by 9th...and I also placed the order when it showed In stock and delivered in 1-2 days....
do post here if u get any shipment details....and who told you it ships from mumbai ? bcoz on invoice they have mentioned singapore address as shipped

Yeap, that's what I thought. The dude on the other end of the indian play store help phone number said mumbai though. He said the devices are shipped (I assume in bulk) to the mumbai ship center at which point it ships from there to customers. The "ship by" date denotes "individual customer"s ship, meaning it is supposed to leave MUMBAI at that time. Which makes sense, to get all the customs out of the way prior to customer interaction.

well, I have replied a very stern mail to them asking why an ordered placed while in stock is struggling with stock now....they said they will come back in a day or so..
overall not a good impression on google online sales strategy
I am also experiencing the same issue. Ordered on June 25th morning and the order said it would ship by yesterday. Today the status of the order in "My Order" is blank. I sent an email to the support team and the same generic reply that it is not in stock.
I guess we have no option but to wait and "watch"

They said they are having customs issues getting the watch into the country (AFTER which it is shipped to individual costumers from the warehouse/shipping center in Mumbai). So...it is delayed indefinitely. Since this is India, I am going to say no one here is getting their hands on that watch till late august or early september.

it should not be late aug or sept ... they put on the play store officially which means they had plans for india availability....it will be dealyed for few days now but not that long else they may not have put on play store
I ordered two phones, one for my wife and one for myself. Fedex delivered one package today with one phone. Both packages were scanned in to the local drop center at 5:11am this morning. One was scanned onto a truck at 9:30 and the other one has no activity at all. They have no idea where the other package is. And it being Saturday evening, they said that they're unlikely to get it figured out until sometime on Monday morning.
I was so looking forward to getting the phone and setting it up tonight.

But you do bring up a good point. I should probably contact Best Buy and let them know what's going on. If it was stolen, it's their problem. Well, theirs and Fedex.

He even showed me his package sheet showing only one package.
they are getting slicker and slicker on covering their tracks...lol but seriously, it might just end up finding it's way to you next business day. If not, fault is on them. Once it's on your country's soil, they cant call foul play on loss/theft and deny responsibility. they acctualy had it in their depot. U'll either get a refund or a new one i would think. You just need to harass the shipper now.

I've been harassing them non-stop for most of the day. They told me on the phone that they only deliver Tuesday through Saturday for this type of Fedex delivery. So the next chance that I have to get it is Tuesday afternoon. If it's not delivered by then, then the harassing starts again.
Hope i wont go through this my self. But then again,i payed mine with paypal so usually they are the muscle.
Since its the international variant, im reading up on how i can change the csc to a canadian variant although i cant flash the rom since obviously its exynos vs snapdragon.
trying to keep busy while waiting for it to ship....
also ordered a couple cases and screen protectors to test out. its very hard to pick only one of each and be satisfied with the results. theres always some weird fitting issue or simply trash quality that makes the device feel sub pare.

What if your wife is just setting up a prank with the Fedex guy, to then have Aston Kutcher jump out the bushes and your being featured on his 1st episode to his comback of "Prank'd" but before Aston uploads it to MTV your wife uploads it to YouTube and it gets millions of views bringing in revenue and being able to pay off both phones with the YouTube money and win a chance to see the Note 9 google edition prototype running android Oreo at the Samsung Lab.

What if your wife is just setting up a prank with the Fedex guy, to then have Aston Kutcher jump out the bushes and your being featured on his 1st episode to his comback of "Prank'd" but before Aston uploads it to MTV your wife uploads it to YouTube and it gets millions of views bringing in revenue and being able to pay off both phones with the YouTube money and win a chance to see the Note 9 google edition prototype running android Oreo at the Samsung Lab.

Ya know, that's another thing that I never thought of.
Man that sucks I would be pissed. But what could you do? Hope you get it soon it's a great phone.
They didn't lose it I think. Same thing happened to me. Th3y said they couldn't find it, but found out it was locked away in some container and it was delivered the following Monday. Just wait for it is all I can say

Why would they not deliver the package on Monday? That doesn't make sense to me, express delivery should happen any business day of the week. Maybe that's why mine says delivery Tuesday even though it's in the local sort facility already.

The guy that I talked to at FedEx called it "FedEx Home Delivery", and said it only runs between Tuesday and Saturday. It's probably the cheapest way that they could find to deliver it.
Interesting, FedEx Home Delivery is listed as Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m

Same thing happened to me. Supposed to be overnighted to me last Thursday. Arrived is Memphis depot, from there, nobody knows where it is. I asked them how is that possible, that's their core business, shipping and being able to track the shipments. Anyway, I told them to send it back when/if they find it. Fedex is crap!!
Don't feel like you're alone. Fedex has lost my Note 5 I sent in as my trade in. I have verified it was picked up by the driver, but has since disappeared, there's not even any tracking information. Fedex is supposedly researching, but I don't expect it to be found. That puts me out a phone, plus the $425 trade in credit with Samsung. Soooo pissed right now....
kind the same happened to my friend Note 8, he had it hold at UPS location for pickup but when he show up to pick up the phone, they can not locate it.
