Hi there,
I've tried now different ways to center my clock in the notification bar on a Wildfire Buzz with a CM7-Mod.
Also I've tried to add a provider-icon to the bar.
Nothing works..
I followed different Tutorials like
here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1174202
here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348379
or here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234988
..but all these Tutorials are not especially for the Wildfire, so I'm not sure, if I've done the right job.
Also I've found the "Zdune Z25"-patcher on
http://zdune.mod2xtreme.com/android/tweaks.php
, followed the instruction, selected one of the tweaks, build and signed the SystemUI.apk, created a flashable *.zip and let the patcher at the end clean the files. But no success..
After flashing the Notification-Bar was lost, so I flashed the "undo.zip-Backup" created by the Z25-patcher to the phone, to get my notification-bar back.
I've tried to patch different versions I created and flashed it to my Wildfire with CFW 3 or CFW 5..
Please.....can someone help..or write a little How-to.?
That would be very nice..I don't know, what I could do further.
Many thanks to you in anticipation...!!
Greetz,
Vamox
Which version of cm7 are you on?
Ive done this mod plenty of times I know it like the back of my hand although on the latest nightlies I've been having problems doing it.
Also I did manage to get a carrier icon once too like on miui but it overlapped my notification icons and i couldn't find a fix for it so had to abandon it.

Thanks for replying.
I'm using now the CM 7.1.0.1-buzz..so I didn't wanted to use a latest Nightly because I heard about the different problems with flashing Nightlys..
Flashing the Wildfire and this CM-version is absolutely no problem with cooked files from the UOT..but I'm wondering now that just centering the clock
or add a provider-icon would be a problem now?!...

The clock is easy I'll try to build you one tonight after the kids are asleep as I've recently deleted all my old files but a carrier icon just doesn't work right.

In fact just try this one first, I can't remember if it works on 7.1 or not but I didn't delete it when I cleared my thread out. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257069

Hey, that would be very nice if you could build one for me.
I think the next "Coding-Book" which I have to buy should be one about Android-coding
BTW..I've seen somewhere a screenshot from a Wildfire Buzz in the past..showing a provider-icon I'll try to find it again..

Alright..thanks for the link..will try this solution first.
Should I flash the zip better with a CFW3 or CFW5?
Thanks for the link..I' ll let feedback on here later!
Do you mean an actual icon or just the carrier name? The name can be done I think but not an icon. Well not properly anyway.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
It don't have to be an icon..the name of the Carrier would be okay..
I'm using 'O2'..so it wouldn't take to much space in the not-bar

Okaaay, I've tried the Center-Clock.zip from your thread.
It worked, BUT the clock is showing the time like 18.36 and behind the word "nachm." (german for "afternoon".)
Also if I plug-in the USB, the window "USB in use" in the phone is asking me, if I would like to format the SD ..and the "OK"-Button is showing numbers instead
I'll better undo now and flash back
I only got that through zdunes patcher, never looked into the code for it but centre clock I can do for you later maybe 4-5hrs.

Hey no prob..I'm still glad that someone is willing to help me out with this problem..
I made an undo now..everything okay again.
If you will build the file later, can you fix the clock AND the provider, pleaaase?
Attached a shot from the screen after applying the zip from your thread.
(I know..a little chaos on my home-screen..but at the moment I'm trying a lot of Themes etc )
I don't want the "day-time-word" after the clock..you know?!
Yeah..you know!
Ok I've just tried but got the same error I've been getting with the nightlies so now I'm guessing its a problem on my pc not with the nightlies, so you'll have to bare with me till I can solve it. My first job is to clean up my android-sdk folder then reinstall java, apktools and whatever else I need. I will post it here for you as soon as I solve my problem. Sorry

Ok this should work. http://db.tt/1Qj7UtlJ
And here's an undo zip. http://db.tt/uoztplL7
I've only done the clock and enabled transparency so you can use transparent theme chooser themes. I don't know the code for the carrier but ill try to look for it one day.

Hi Scratch,
really thanks for your efforts.
I tried to apply the *.zip some minutes before through the CFW.
It showed "Transparent Status Bar activated"..I rebooted..but the Not-bar was completely hidden now. I changed the background to different backgrounds..bright or dark and after navigating through the menu of the phone, My Pure Calendar-Widget rided up to the place of the not-bar.
Also the patch switched my CM7-Theme to some graphical-designs of the normal cm7-"System"-Theme. I applied the Undo now, everything okay again.
Hmm..since yesterday I'm trying to make changes on my own again with APK-Manager 5.0.2 and Sign+_v1.2.2.
I'm very new with this you know..normally job-related I'm programming different php, html, xhtml-Applications..but the mobile-Section is getting more and more important. Some months past I programmed my first html-page with a mobile-device switch included..themed for Androids, Iphones and Ipads..
But this is REALLY new for me..but more and more interesting
Ok I didn't quite understand your last post, I tried this myself and it worked, sometimes there is a bug where the new background I added to hide the statusbar when you get notifications, it shows up and won't go away until you get another notification or open terminal then close it again and your normal statusbar should appear, this bug usually happens when you switch themes with theme chooser.

Oh I get you now, the bar disappeared. Try flashing the zip, reboot if it isn't there flash the undo zip then reboot again, then try again. I know it works though.

1. Download the theme and place it on your internal sd card.
2. Reboot into Clockwork Mod Recovery.

Go Launcher Ex lets you use custom dock icons also. Looks great, just one thing though. The dialer got themed but when you make a phone call that part didn't get themed. Could it be because I was using the blurphone.apk from a different theme? I even took the blurphone.apk from this theme and manually put it in the sytem/apps folder and set the permissions but it still uses the old themed one.

Ok, so kind of a noob question I guess. But how do I get the dock and icons to change I have go launcher ex and I cant figure out how to. I also have adw ex but it says I havent purchased it but in the market it says purchased and it won't let me download. Also my battery meter says it's at 100 and hasnt changed at all. It's unplugged and was only at like 70% when I put this theme on. Any ideas?

You might need to download an icon pack, or with go launcher, (which is what I use) you can steal the icons, recreate them in photoshop and then use them in your dock. When you long press on the icons, you can replace them with "Custom Icon".
As for your battery, it sounds like you might need to recalibrate it. You might need to go into charge mode (when you see the battery charging while the phone is off) and then wait till it hits 100%, reboot into CWM recovery, or Bootstrap, and wipe battery stats. I don't know if just using the Battery Calibrator app from market is enough to fix this problem. I had the same thing happen when I was flashing ROMs.

Sorry, I meant how do I use the icons that are in this download?? I can't seem to get them to show all of them, only the main ones and the dockbar is the one that came with go launcher, I can't get the themed one to show up.

So the keyboard doesn't come up at all or it comes up with the old colors. Sounds like you'd know this already having set permissions already and having mentioned it... But make sure your permissions look like this -
If all is done according... All I can guess is that its not compatible with Mike's ROM for some weird reason. It works on NRG's just fine, and he offers a stock looking version of bis ROM as well so is probably just recommend running that Rom instead in order to get this to work. Energy Rom is pretty flawless. It's never let me down and benchmarked at around 1675 (on vellamo) for me (which is a good 600+ stronger than what I got prior to running energy Rom)

That's bizarre. Although I'm not certain it would make a difference, I'd try marking owner execute as well. If that doesn't work, re download the file, extract and repeat. It should work on any Rom with that method. Only thing I can think of is perhaps files got mixed up and you accidentally have been working with the unskinned version there

Just an FYI: I built and tested this s-off with the latest firmware installed. It has not been tested on any other combo. Feel free to chime in if it works great on a different set-up.
I could not have did this alone and I want to give special thanks to all who contributed knowingly or unknowingly

3G Data now in ICS blue
1x Data now in ICS blue
AOSP Phone icon
AOSP Message icon
AOSP People/Contacts icon
AOSP Camera icon

Changelog 1.4
All data setting are off by default. You will need to turn them on if you want to set everything up. This includes Mobile Data, wifi, and NFC. I will have this fixed in a future update, I just ran out of time on my mini vacation.
Working 1% battery!
Fixed Kindle app books not opening
It is now easier to set a default keyboard in settings
AOSP settings menu! (thanks to Art2Fly for this!)
Google Now (as always mikeyxda is the man!)
Thanks to t.o.m. for showing me the build.prop edit to remove the extra menu icon (we have a menu button, it was kind of pointless)
Jelly Bean Fonts
New boot and down animations by Team Clean contributer e.t.heil! You should really check out his work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706861
Some other stuff, but I don't really remember (I should write this stuff down)
There are a few things that we tested that were not quite ready for prime time, but they will be soon.
As always thanks to benny3! Want a little more Sense? Check out his ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748090
Changes in 1.5
AOSP Recent Apps! (Thanks to Turge for pointing me in the right direction)
AOSP Car Dock
Should now show 1X when in connected to 1X
Updated most apps (a few snuck by me!)
Disabled HTC Setup Wizard on first boot. Now you can jump right into settings to enable data and wifi. Just launch a Google app to sign in to everything.
Changed some other little stuff. I have been doing little things along the way, I don't remember most of them.
XDA App and Tapatalk Users can download HERE
You must set your Mobile Browser set to desktop view!
If you like this ROM please consider making a donation, it is pretty much the only thing that I can show my wife to justify the amount of time I spend on my phone.

This is going to be amazing until AOSP really is polished. Thank you very much!
Oh, so if I have the OTA with new firmware (S-off, unlocked, rooted), this won't work right? What would I do to run this?

by themed AOSP does that mean its still sense but your just not using the sense launcher your using the apex launcher? i saw that in the OP just wanted to see. And is there AOSP lockscreen changes like custom icon unlocks? thanks! looks good i'm die hard AOSP, but resorting to running on meanrom for now cause its the most stable and battery efficient

Also, when you say uninstall multi window control, where do I find that? I do not use it and cannot find it in the app drawer...sorry for the noob question.

Yes it can be flashed over the existing mini themes. If you dont have multiwindow control, you didnt add the mod for all apps in multiwindow. It will install the mod and multiwindow control for you

Ok I flashed this in TWRP wiped cache and dalvik first, then flashed, all went well but none of the mods took. Status bar is still grey(I'll post a pic in a minute)
No 4 way reboot, wifi ongoing is still there and GPS icon is still there and no wifi toggle.

Absolutely, this one right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044351
the funny thing is the status bar also has very small spaces at either end(left and right end) where it doesn't quite reach the edge of the screen and also has a slim space on top where the status bar doesn't quite meet the top of the screen but oddly enough this does not show up in the screenshot I posted where it looks as it should. The spacing issue was present before this flash though as I went back and looked at another screenshot I took before the flash. Must have happened from the original mod but I just didn't notice.

Ok never mind my last post, once I navigated to the file in recovery it said .zip so I went ahead and flashed. I think it's a windows thing where it hides the .zip in the filename
Anyway, I flashed and all went well
4 way reboot present
Black status bar present
GPS icon gone(WOOT)
wifi toggle is now present
Only issue is that the ongoing wifi nag is still there, not sure if it was supposed to be gone or not.
Donation on the way man! Great job guys!!

Ok cool man after thinking about it I'll just play around with multi window for awhile and see what all the love is about.
Here are a couple screens so people can see what it looks like, lots of themeing has been done and if you like red, you'll love this theme:
My services.jar that kills ongoing wifi notification is 100% compatible with LegendK95 multi window mod

This CleanROM Developer Edition. IT has nothing to do with the HTC Developer Edition phone! Its Special Build that I do once in a while.
Those that have used the HTC Rezound and the HTC One X may remember this build.
The intent of this ROM is to give an AOSP look and feel, still be based off Sense, and be extremely lite weight!
If you would like to help test then below are a list of things I need tested. If you can help find a fix then even better!
I am also looking for themers that can help theme portions of the ROM. If you are interested then send me a PM!
AOSP Browser
AOSP Clock
AOSP Keyboard
AOSP Mail
AOSP Lockscreen
AOSP Themed Icons for the Sense Apps
Apex Launcher
WiFi Tether Unlocked!
Unsecure boot image with init.d support!
Performance and Stability that is nothing short of Legendary!
Extended Power Menu!
Only 347 Megs!
Sense Items Removed
HTC Launcher
HTC BlinkFeed
HTC Browser
HTC Keyboard
HTC Clock
HTC Mail
HTC Lockscreen
HTC Weather
All HTC Widgets
Sense TV (will be back!)
Sense Items Remaining
Dialer
Contacts
Camera
MMS
Must have custom recovery installed. I recommend the latest version of twrp.
Copy ROM to storage
Reboot to Recovery
Recommend Factory Reset in Recovery!
Flash ROM
Reboot to System
Profit!

Everything seems to be running fine on this. Haven't had a chance to test calls or a2dp yet. My only beef with this is the firmware is so old since it's based on atts latest. would be sick if it was based on 1.29.401.16

I was wondering the same thing.
Is it possible to merge yours with the .16 base? There are a lot of fixes and the new stock kernel is pretty good too.
We'll be lucky to see an update from att by the time 4.2 or 4.3 is out overseas.

For some reason I'm not getting very good battery life... Seems to be sleeping fine, but I'm only getting about 4 hours of awake time when before I was getting around 4-5 hours of screen on time... :what:
Edit:
Appears to be do to low signal for quite a bit of time, for some reason I can't check cpu states with better battery stats

So far everything looks good. Definitely like the fat reduction! Did notice that the factory battery monitor has been removed (which also removes battery saver option). Is that intentional?
Other than that, everything seems to work. Thanks for the hard work, and glad to have you back!
Working good so far.

Glad you're back Scott. CleanROM DE was the first and only rom that's been on my phone. Runs great without out all the bloat. But i've been running your roms from when, Sensation? or was it the Evo days? I hope you continue development on this debloated version and not just give Clean2.0 all the attention!
The .1 is a solid daily driver for me, but if you need a tester for future builds shoot me a pm!
1 issue is pictures are not going into my galary at all I have over 500 pictures but if I go to camera I can see them and number 2. Is that Google search isn't working for me.

Love this ROM as an alternative to AOSP because of keeping One cam.
Quickpic is a definite must to view gallery. Also noticed AccuWeather widget not displaying correctly. Text in image is smashed together. Not sure if its a launcher issue or???

Yep love Sense because because of the camera working right and the proprietary Accu-Weather app that's unlike what you get from the app store.
I used Apex for the last 8 months or so because of the grid 5x5 setting, walls showing behind the app drawer.
With this One I've had for a week now I don't think I'm going to give up the good sound with Sense, until an AOSP can give me the properly functioning audio and camera.
