Just out curiosity which one do find best works out with the note? I'm trying to get a new experience with the note coming from the atrix
So far i've been using:
Dolphin for web browsing-it's always reliable but just looking for something new.
Flex T9 for keyboard- not bad it has different options. But I miss swiftkey x
Google reader for news feeds- kind of boring on this huge screen
Any suggestions

very impressive browser for those of you that wanna try something different. extremely stables good layout and fast!
I just switched to this as my default browser! If you asked me, its better than Dolphin!
I have been switching between dolphin mini and miren. Boat browser is by far the best so far. I like the UI
is that bloat browser you mean? :O
taken off market? o_o
edit: got it off amazon marketplace. woot. time to try lol
It's pretty nice, but honestly it's still the second-best. I was looking forward to a change, but Dolphin Mini has the speed dial home splash screen, smoother (higher frame-rate) scrolling, and it can remember passwords that Boat doesn't seem to want to. Maybe in future updates it'll compete, but until then, I'm sold on Dolphin Mini. Thanks for the heads up, though... Boat has potential!
Hands down good browser. I like how everything looks clean and simple

Really nice! Kinda miuiesque. Thanks for the find!

I've been using it the past three days and I love it. I tried to hold out for dolphin but it was giving me problems. Opera was slow. Miren was flaky. And then I found Boat and could not be happier. A+
Hi, I'm sorry if this has been gone over, I would have searched if I had been on a computer but unfortunately I'm not.. I know 3.2 added support for seven inch tablets, so I was wondering if there was any news on this coming to the flyer?
Also, I was just wondering how people generally use a tablet of this size? Obviously it has a pen for note taking, but is it mostly a quick glance at email or web type deal with most users that have this?
Thanks!

for the first question, you have the answer here
7" tablet it fits you on the go! personal, for me is the best choice for mobility.
I was wondering if any of you guys have a kindle fire? I have the note, and I was thinking about it, I just don't know since I already have the note..... I would like the opinions of the people that DO own both...
I have both. I have cm7 running in my fire. I use the fire for reading, games, YouTube, and Netflix. The note I use for everything else. Honestly I could do without the fire and be fine but I do appreciate having it to run the battery down instead of my note. My note had pretty bad battery life, but I'm on it all the time.

Is the kindle slow and or buggy/laggy? How is it reading on it vs the note?
My wife has a kindle fire. Its awesome as an ebook and video device along with our prime account. Build quality and battery life are pretty good as well.
I don't know how it performs as a dedicated tablet since its running the stock rom. Over all it isn't as versatile as my note and its not a replacement for my ipad2. My wife loves it tho and for the price its hard to beat.

Its not too much bigger than the note, I don't find myself picking it up over my note ever and my wife still takes my ipad from time to time.

I use the Fire as an eReader, I don't have much use for it besides that. Its running CM7 and it has bugs, most notably the sleep of death which is not a big deal. It's great as an ereader and comic reader though. If you're looking for a tablet, I'd still go iPad, refurbished are so cheap and so well built, its an easy decision.
I just need/want a good Ereader with some side options, to do homework and such.... I don't need a full fledge tablet... is it choppy/buggy/laggy with the 6.3 update? I also like the fact that updates are very quick...
lol with all the ICS hoopla going on I don't think I'll get any replies... hehe
I seen your post last night but I was too busy with the whole ICS leak
But the Kindle is actually a great device for your basic needs. I sold my iPad2 because I really did not see myself using it much and decided to have all Android devices in my home as well. I seen all these complaints about the bugs and lag but I have not encountered any. The silk browser is solid but I do not see all the hype behind it. 6.3 is already rooted so if you do not like the stock look you can also install go launcher. The device is great to read and feels natural(like a book) instead of holding a big 9.7 inch screen. I have read The Walking Dead comic on my KF and it is a very enjoyable reading experience. There is nothing cheap about the device. I recommend the device and if your into gaming on your tablet, someone on the amazon website said that it can handle games such as shadowgun and GTA3...but i have not tried them personally.

Well, I just got myself an OTG cable for my Nexus 7. It's currently connected to a keyboard and I'm actually typing on it right now.
Since I just got my tablet, I'm not sure if I want a laptop. I have a desktop at home if I wanted to do homework, but in class I could bring my tablet.
Do you think it's silly to take notes in class with a tablet/keyboard combo? I'll probably use Supernotes too, unless there is a better note taking app.
Is it even practical either?

It's all a matter of personal preference personally I use a netbook for taking notes in class, but several people I know and my friends who have tablets use a a tablet and keyboard combination for taking notes (Ranging from ASUS Transformer to Ipad with bluetooth dock keyboard cover) and it works great for them. If you want to go light and the tablet/keyboard combo works for you I say go for it. Also check out Evernote, in my opinion the best mobile note taking app out there right now, plus it easily syncs with your Evernote notes on your desktop, on pretty much any OS and you can also edit your notes easily and conveniently from the web.

I've been using my ICS tablet for quite some time at school now... works great. All I miss is a fysical keyboard. Even use Aldiko to read my schoolbooks...

Well I miss the physical keybord too, but my TF101 is wonderful for slides consulting, I waste much less paper since I own it.

Catch is good but I feel as if Evernote is more polished, less buggy, and works better cross platform. Plus for me while the interface felt nice, things didn't necessarily seem as intuitive as they could have been, nerveless it is still a good alternative to Evernote. I also use AK Notepad by the people who make Catch for real simple quick and dirty note takings (Have been using that since early on with my Droid 1).
Over here in my school its compulsory for everyone to have a *cough* iPad *cough* (because its simple to use... really??), yeah I prefer it to pen and paper. Much faster and I get more customisation choices, screw different coloured pens... they're all on Google docs and I share them with everyone plus they don't get lost. Love it.

Its here. Swiftkey Flow Beta. Not bad at all. I wish the trail was a little darker but works great.

Thanks for the link. This is nice.

I'm trying it out and love it. I also have the paid version of Swiftkey Tablet which has the flow function in it but it looks like the version number is 1 behind. Going to play with both over the next few days to see if there are any other differences, and if there are-purchase the Swiftkey Flow once it comes out of Beta.
I haven't decided if I like it better. It seems to be picky with my words. Changing certain ones when it shouldn't. But, I'll give it more time before I switch back to Swype.
I am most defintely purchasing it when it's out of beta. I've always been a huge supporter of SwiftKey. The keyboard is amazing! Simply said, I can type amazingly fast with it with the power of prediciton and Swype. The only thing I miss is swyping right-left to delete words.
So will Flow be a separate product from Swiftkey? In other words will current owners of Swiftkey 3 be required to purchase Flow or will it be provided as an app upgrade?
How do you enable the Swype style where you can draw the words instead of typing out?
question is are you typing faster flowing or swift keying? I'm still getting use to flow and find that i can type faster with presses and predictive text

I know it is a good keyboard. How ever i wish it popped the words up like the 4.2 keyboard and hard darker trails.

Im sure it will be a seperate product. Unless we ***** and maybe they will do a discount or something.
Does anyone know a "swipe" type of keyboard that supports one-handed input? I'm referring to the keyboard setting that makes the keyboard skinnier and bumps it against the left or right side. Swiping is great on a smaller phone, but these larger tablets can be fatiguing trying to swipe all across the bigger screen.
Thats a good question
The Samsung stock keyboard that comes with the Note 2.

I'm finding that I'm having some issues with 'it's'. I can't seem to type it correctly. Any words that anyone else has had issues with?

It needs polishing. I do wish it would recognize ellipses........ And not capitalize the next word. I use ellipses alot!

Just realized how much of a resource hog this keyboard is. Not good.

I love the fact that it has the looks at SwiftKey 3. But have the swipe functions. It really helps me type faster I don't want to stop using it!..... Time to find someone in Facebook to stalk.
