Okay overall I like the way it feels but just being one of those have to things when I get something new I've got to tweak it! Overclock undervolt and everything I can find.
Anyway anyone know any good performance tweaks we can do to our devices while Devs get new kernels and roms?
Posted using AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note
At this point nothing definitive. You can try removing bloat, and freezing the tethering manager to (maybe) utilize tethering. But the devs are hard at work. Be patient, amazing things will come

What exactly did you change?
ro.product.model=SAMSUNG-SGH-I997
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=SGH-I997
ro.product.device=SGH-I997
And I changed all the I717UCK1 to I997UCK
Then reboot and O&C works everything will think you are using a Infuse.

Almost got the overclock ready. 1.83 is benchmark stable, 1.89 and 1.94 seem stable for mucking about but reboot with benchmarks. Haven't tweaked voltages and such much yet...
This is great! I'm so excited to see a respected developer working on this already, makes me have hope for the future of this phone

Verizon's Samsung Fascinate hasn’t been released yet, but the system dump has been available for about 2 days now, mostly untouched and unexplored.
Until today that is, when Justin Case (who you may remember from blowing the cover off Google’s Licensing Verification Library) and Jamezelle took it apart and ripped out the 6 live wallpapers exclusive to the device.
Proceed to the download links and screenshots: Exclusive: Samsung Fascinate Live Wallpapers Leaked, Available For Download
Doesnt work on DX on Froyo just FYI.
The "ocean" one is in the market, I installed it on my Droid incredible and it is so laggy compared to the fascinate

Fascinate= 100x better GPU.. which probably allows the smoother scrolling haha. Or maybe thats just how the TouchWiz launcher is working on the Fascinate.

From what i thought, its usually the GPU that handles LWP's and if it lags, its not the CPU's or GPU's fault, its the launchers fault. but idk haha. we all already know that the snapdragon sucks now haha.
On my desktop is a deodex batch optimize zipaligned rooted and debloated very clean Rom for everybody and to make a good base.
Question is....what is the best OC/UV app that's used by anybody and everybody?
Asking because i want to know which to add in the build that pleases the majority.
Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion.

I think most people are useing set CPU. I prefur voltage control but the kernel that's been OCed isn't set up to UV apperently, from what I was told.
Big Dogg Infuse I997 ZeusB5 ICS!
I've been using SetCPU with no issues so that's my vote
I like CPU master alot its really clean and easy to use. Plus is a free app on market .
And thank you for starting some Rom building!!!
I assume its gonna work with Tegrak eventually or is that only samsung CPUs?
Per Da_G's suggestion, I'm using System Tuner. Looks pretty cool and gives more info/control than SetCPU.
FWIW
I like using SystemTuner.

I second that! Rom ToolBox is the best app for OCing plus its one of the best android apps period. Has root browser, kernel tweaks and so much more.
Ok first things first, I have a AT&T Samsung GS2 Skyrocket (US). Updated it a few months ago to the long awaited but crappier ICS; left lots of GB crumbs........ Anyways, may or may not work on other devices, but tried on Samsung Galaxy S3 and it worked also (both of which are on the ICS boat):
* Pull down the notification bar. Double-tap your regular ol' analog clock on the top right. *
BOOM - World clock pop-up like the one you'd find on Android's new tablets! Somewhat irrelevant use for me, but still a new Android Easter Egg!!!!
I might be coming late to the party & I've just never heard of this, or I might of just discovered something new. But I have to give thanks to the 3 yr old who managed to make it appear and who, ultimately, managed to make my jaw drop... SMH kids these days

You can actually have it without root ,too.It's and apk file and it works flawlessy.It has better voice recognition ,but worse text recognition.I would recommend it if you have an accent.Works good ,however I noticed it have the sense of humor,and also a personality.The out-of-the box version hadn't any personality on my Note 2.Just robot-like

S Voice add on
Has any one developed an add on for S Voice. In the past I had a Iphone 4s and jailbroke it. Then added some files for Siri. When you launched Siri I would say load brain and Siri would be much funnier, and have great comebacks. Is their an android version?
So I just received a free Note and not sure if this is the right section. I would like to root this device

If you can get it into download mode you should be fine. Search something like "bricked my note" and you should find the info needed to get up and running again.

We've all been there. Probably just missed a step and just a soft brick. If your search for bricked phone does not help you let us know what you've done to get here and what you've tried. Include Odin version, recovery installed and root methods attempted. Hang in there.

Not sure about lag but stability is still a bit of an issue. Gimmeitorilltell is working on it though and each build gets better. There are dozens of cool JB ROMs for speed if lag is a concern.
