I recently tried out CM9 for a couple of days and then decided to go back to Mean ROM. I flashed the Nand backup and every thing runs fine, but when I reboot, or power off, the home screen pops up just before it it turns the phone off. When I reboot to recovery, it says, "Sd card has blank or unsupported file system" just before it turns off?
The phone functions normally, no indications of anything strange except for the home screen popping up after the boot-down sequence.
Should I just ignore the "Sd card has blank or unsupported file system" since it is apparently not affecting anything?
I have a stock SD card BTW.
Figured it out. It had to do with the LeeDroid tweaks I flashed over the ROM. Its fixed now.
I had that problem i just restored the backup 2 more times. Why? idk ..now working fine

As the title states, I have lost my internal memory after install of 1.3 OC Kernel and AXURA Vibrant Edition ▼△ [Devs4Android][2.0.5] ROM.
I had the ROM installed with the Voodoo lag fix but I was having issues with certain areas so I figured to flash with 1.120 B_STOCK Kernel. I later saw a post for a 1.3 clock that made the phone lighting fast. This is where it went downhill. Booting up and running some programs WAS very fast but as I continued to run a screenshot program the phone would lockup on that screen. It wouldn't reboot into clockworks so I removed the battery. I did this three (3) times and on the third time it booted into Bootloader mode and saying it couldn't find sd card and it wouldn't install the ROM. I have used ODIN to flashback probably 20 times but I am still missing my internal memory. I can't install any apps and my computer doesn't show my external SD. Also when I restart my phone it will revert back to it's unregistered state, not holding any info ie. google account, phone numbers.
Any ideas?
And yes I did remove my external SD and my SIM card when I use ODIN. No I did not Partition my internal using ROM manager or clockworks.
Anyone have any ideas?
I just tried again and no success. I did T959UVJFD under PDA, my PIT was s1_odin_20100512.pit and Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time were all checked. Dump-unchecked, Debug En.- unchecked, File [Dump]-empty along with Phone and CSC.
After it passes the screen will flash a grey battery if plugged in. If unplugged it will show a Vibrant screen and shut off. Will not bootloader.
any ideas?
Still not working. I am now trying Eugene_JK2_Froyo.tar.md5 with s1_odin_20100512.pit I am checking Re-Partition and start.
After It is done it comes to bootloader screen and says;
"update media, please wait
"E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblkop1
"(No such file or directory)
"E:copy_dbdata_media:Cant mount SDCARD:
"your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
"E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblkop1
"(No such file or directory)
"E:copy_dbdata_media:Cant mount SDCARD:"
I will try and use the bootloader menu but only thing that works is the reboot, delete data and delete cache.
format internal sd-card doesn't work and the ODIN screen says, "PASS!"
Any ideas or suggestions?
Any luck? how did you fix this? I'm having a similar tale of woe with my dell streak.
I found out that by installing voodoo lag fix, it never disabled the built in lagfix. Then I flashed another kernel and ROM ontop. It soon bricked and never came back.
Hey, this is my first post on this forum. Just rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted. Thoughts?? Help! TIA.
Bump
Bump for my issue. I need help!
Any luck with your issue because im in the exact same boat?
what is ur Hboot Version
Hi,
We need to know ur Hboot version, & android version pls
Hi!
Today I connected my phone to PC and moved some apps to it. While I was doing that, my phone's screen became like this:
http://neversixfeetunder.synthasite.com/resources/fuzzy20tv20screen20.jpg
.. and the phone was stucked. Then I hanged the power button and it turned off. When I was turning it on, LG logo was showing for about 6 seconds and then the screen was blank and only after ~20 seconds was the LG splash logo.
Well, when it turned on, in notifications there's showing "Preparing SD card; Checking for errors.".
Is this a problem with my phone or the SD card?
P.S. In 'SD card & phone storage settings' it says that SD card's space (total and available) is unavailable. Also it isn't possible to mount or format sd card.
I'll be glad if someone will help me.
Sorry for my English.
Oh, and I forgot to say that yesterday I installed franco kernel (v17). I have Megatron ROM.
Looks like the card is faulty/dead. You can try reformatting it in PC, but do not rely on it to keep your data for long, even if it helps.
I'll try to insert this SD card in other phone and watch, is it working or not.
I hope, it's dead and everything with my phone is alright.
P.S. I rebooted my phone again and the blank screen was only for ~3 seconds
(with removed sd card).
Thank you for your reply
EDIT: It's working in the other phone.
EDIT 2: I formated the card in the other phone and now it's working in mine, too.
What could be the problem? I had an app called "SD Speed Boost" and it was set to max. Maybe this is the reason?
well, i hope someone here will be able to assist me... having troubles.
I was previously running SHIFT A0SP without any issues and figured I would give Gingeritis 3D a shot since I've been using the same rom for a while.
Well, I downloaded the ROM zip, confirmed the MD5 and then flashed (after wiping everything). After reboot, it just sits loading on the white HTC screen and then reboots itself after a while.
Any thoughts? I tried holding down the volume rocker and the power key to get to the HBOOT screen so I could install a backup etc. However, there must be a recent radio on my SD card which is auto asking to install. Any way to get the HBOOT screen so I can actually use it w/ the PG05IMG.zip on the SD card?
I don't have any external drive to read the SD card etc. to delete that zip.
Thanks

Do you have an old phone you can put the sd card into and delete it via your computer?

i don't :/
I also tried removing the SD card and booting to the HBOOT menu. This allows the menu to come up and use it. However, I cannot pull the battery (even with the phone plugged in) to put the SD card back in... I saw this done on a youtube video, but it doesn't work... My phone powers off if I pull the battery.
Still stuck...

Best thing I can recommend is to borrow a phone with an sd card and use it to access your card. You won't even need a computer. If its android, just download any file manager from the app store. Find the PG05IMG file and rename it or delete it.
Presto. You're fixed. Now just download another Rom or reload another Rom on your sd card.

I'm back. I was able to trick with the SD card and battery to get into the HBOOT menu without it auto loading the radio.
To share, since it could help others in the future... What I basically did, and took a lot of trial and error, was seating the SD card about 85% into the slot, so not enough for it to be recognized. Then, hold the battery on a slightly angle, enough for the contacts to touch, but not enough to push the SD card all the way into the slot. That's the tricky part. Once you get to the HBOOT menu, very carefully navigate to restore, after the reboot, push the battery all the way in and it will also push the SD card fully into the slot.
Now, you can recover backup.
Took a lot of tries as I kept losing the battery connection and it powered off or the SD card made contact and loaded the radio. It worked though as I did not have access to another phone.
Hope this may help someone else in the future.

I had this problem too, and i freaked out! Dont worry, its all good! What happened is that you flashed it incorrectly. I dont know what i did wrong, i dont know what you did wrong, it doesnt matter. Anyway, you wiped your phone and now its trying to reboot but there isnt an Operating system on the phone, so it wont get passed the splash screen. Simply boot back into recovery and flash the gingeritis rom again. Reboot, and you should be all set! Good luck!
I had this strange notification appear after I removed a couple of system apps with ROM Toolbox (Thinkfree and Yahoo Finance). When I tap it, nothing happens.
I tried to clear cache and it disappeared for a while, but only to return.
Does anyone know what it means? How to get it to go away would be cool to.
My phone has GR2.0 running.
Try removing your SD card and then boot.
Looks like the phone is not able to read you sd card.
Definitely.. I think it's a SD card problem.. The logo says though..

The phone is definitely reading the SD card, it can access the files and my apps load at start up.
I attempted a couple things. I turned the phone off, took out the SD Card and started it up again, initially the notification wasn't there while it was doing the SD card scan, then it re-appeared again after a duration.
Then I tried doing a factory reset as well as clear cache, this had the same outcome. My next step would be to reinstall the firmware.
Could it mean the SD card is damaged in some way?
