I did factory wipe and again without allowing restore, same issue.

im having the same issue. I downloaded the youtube 2.3 apk until this issue gets corrected, once its correct just uninstall the youtube 2.3 update in the application manager in settings

Yep! I saw on other threads people around the complaining about FC. So pretty much sure it's a global YouTube app collapse.

every time i flash a new ROM, it fails. in partucular, any ICS rom often FCs all my system apps and widgets, including messaging. i have tried one of CM9 nightlys and HyDrOG3NICS v1.4. they all work well apart from these crashes anything i can do?

I have also had this problem . But after force closing i go to apps and running tab and i see almost most of the apps are restarting ...i think apps are getting killed !

IIRC, the issues with Chrome on the P4G when running a CM based ROM are driver related. Since Moto is not going to release them some things will never work properly.
Anyone else having chrome lags and FC on cm 10.1? Is it because of the ROM or chrome not yet compatible with 4.2.1?
