When I'm in the pictures app for WP7 it seems to limit how far I can zoom in. Does anyone know of a way to zoom further in? Another app perhaps?

Hey,
as the topic says, i want to know if there is any camera app with zoom. Because the standard semcCamera doesn't support zoom.
I think having no zoom is a bit out of time. My older nokia 6120c had it too so i miss it a bit.
Of course i know that the quality isnt that great when zooming but currently i edit it on the pc.
If anyone has the same problem or a solition -> let me know
thx for reply

yes on market you have Vignette
If you edit in the PC why do you need zoom then? You got in the market, as said, Vignette and Camera Zoom too, both paid apps.
i tried vignette, but it just makes a frame. Not a real zoom on the display, but its okey. Ill try the second one you mentioned.
I edit it on the pc because of having no zoom
So when I view my taken pictures via the camera app (rather than the gallery app) I can zoom in further and the quality is actually better (more pixels). Sometimes when I want to, like, read something in a photo I have to zoom in quite a bit, but then because of this I have to view the photos within the camera app which I wouldn't prefer. So is this a changeable setting or just the way the apps are designed?
I did not even notice you are right. Just installed QuickPic zooms in more looks great.

hii guys ..
i keep wonder ,, we will have zoom on miui camera ??
i like miui rom .. the only bug that it dont have zoom and i need it
so any body know if they are working on it ?? at we gonna have zoom or they give up on that bug ?!
My opinion, you don't need zoom.
You need an app that can crop a picture because that's exactly what digital zoom does.
So shoot your pics and then edit them (I use Picsay and it's awesome) to isolate the details.

All digital zoom does is makes bigger blobs of colour.
Ugh... Sad realization that the X10 zoom is digital.
This is still a convenience being able to zoom(crop) an image and without editing send it directly to facebook/twitter/wordpress/[ fill in the blank ].

Have you ever seen a phone's camera lens pop out?
...
Exactly!
All phones have digital zoom only.
Also, unless you are in a great hurry, it takes less than a minute to crop a picture and then share it in any social network so no biggie.
Try PicSay, I find it entertaining to give a "final touch" to my photos before posting them.
Hi. I'm using cyanogenmod 10 for almost 3 weeks . The camera which came with cm10 is showing less field what actually is.
Are the photos it saves a normal field of view? In other words is the problem only with the view in the camera app or is it with the saved photos too

This picture is shown in the gallery. You can see my printer is in view. (left side)
Also you can see the light switch(left side) is in the view
For second picture,
But in this picture you can't see my printer and my light switch.
I didn't move the camera btw just took a screenshot then pressed the capture
Any ideas?
You can't bump a thread more than once every 24 hours
I believe this is done because of the aspect ratio of your screen and the photos your camera takes. If the photo fov were to be used in the camera, there would be black bars in the camera app. You can try using another camera app from the play store to fix this.

I'm sorry. I didn't know that . Do I have to use 3rd party camera apps. Or can developers fix this problem in next updates. And can you advise me a good 3rd party app. Thanks for your help.
Do you have photo stabilization by any chance? That does reduce the fov.
No I don't have photo stabilization.
Try an app in the store called "lg camera" from memory that's the name. It has black bars which is what you want
NO no no this is not that I wanted. Actualy when I take photos with my friends they can't be seen before shooting.so sometimes they seen out of the fov but when I take photos they are in the fov. I don't want black bars or something. I mean I want to take a photo which looks exactly same in the preview.my post which has an attachment will show my problem.
Hello,
I'm looking for a camera application which makes photos using 16:9 format when they are horizontal and 4:3 when they are vertical. I like seeing the photos without the black sidebands on PC / TV, and it would help minizing it. Does anyone know some app?
Thanks!
