Help with the frequency in Brazil ! - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I need help, in Brazil, the frequency is 850/1900/2100MHz 3G and
[ROM] MiniCM7-2.1.9 [02/11/12] Gingerbread 2.3.7/CM7.2 does not allow to connect on 3G network in the frequency of 850 MHz EDGE only ...
This ROM works only on 900/2100 3G network ... someone could help?

Oi Cara,
What network are you using? Also, what model phone do you have? Mini pro, or regular mini?
I'm using claro, Vivo and Oi, no problems with 3G or normal on x10mini.
I'll test TIM with my wifes tomorrow and see if it's ok
Abs

I'm using the network vivo, my phone model is the x10 mini pro, what happens is, in my region the frequency is 850 MHz 3G, and it seems that the device only gets EDGE with this often when I switch city where the 3G is 2100 mhz .. operate normally, the problem is this, but only 3G takes on the frequency 900/1900/2100, 3G does not work at 850 mhz

I only have an 10 mini (without keyboard) but just from looking at your phone specs, you might not be able to switch like this. You might be able to change your Build Prop file to change your phpne from an a model to an I model, or vice versa.
I'll try to dig up some more info!!

[Q]Models of Samsung Galaxy ACE GT-S5830

Sorry for this post, but I want to help the GT-S5830B and GT-S5830L users because in this forum only coverage the GT-S5830 users.
At this moment, exist 3 models of the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the global version is the GT-S5830 and the original firmwares exist in samfirmware.com and in this forum exist some custom firmware to this device.
The others versions are the GT-S5830B and GT-S5830L, the main difference in all versions are:
2G:
All versions: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G:
S5830: HSDPA 900 / 2100
S5830B: HSDPA 850 / 2100
S5830L: HSDPA 850 / 1900
I have a question, why in Samfirmware don't appear American Region?, Samsung will launch a Android 2.3 to GT-S5830B and GT-S5830L device?
At this moment we have some firmwares for this device, but this firmwares need to be installed over an European Version such S5830XXKPE or S5830XXKPH and this firmware must be flashed with Oding using custom package option.
Some firmware are:
Chile - Entel
Mexico - Telcel
If a GT-S5830L user install a firmware of samfirmware.com have this issue:
When phone boots with a simcard inserted, this connect with the operator network and detects the data APN.
The user can dial to a number without problems
Some seconds later (30 sec aprox) the phone change to "Emergency calls mode", the user couldn't make more calls and 3G network not available
If the user reboot the phone works again but some few seconds the phone comes to "Emergency calls only"
Any one could help us to have original firmware in samfirmware.com or exist any method to install an European firmware and don't have the "Emergency calls only" issue
To solve the issue the user need to set usage of only 2G networks in Settings.
i have same problem with firmware, but i manged to fix this problem with another phone with stock firmware from my operator.
i used the base system of stock firmware, create an update.zip .
after that i installed last 2.2.1 firmware and use the update.zip file.
if u want u can pm me and i will explain to u how i did it.
i hope this wile help u.
You could try the amss.mbn file and replace it with your amss.mbn south america version and put it in european odin flash. I now this because the ZTE Blade was sold with 2.1 which was gen 1 radio firmware and devices sold with 2.2 and 2.2 radio firmware enabled hsupa and the 850MHz band. So you could try that

Open the MODEM archive up and replace it with your South American amss.mbn. Either download the KPH 2.3 or the latest version of Froyo

Well, I open the MODEM file (extension .tar.md5) and replace the file, then when I try to add to odin, launch a message that said "Invalid binary type", then I try to flash but 10 minutes later still in downloading amss.
I disconect the phone and flash again 2.2.1
Well, I think that other option is flash the 2.3.x full (without CSC file) and then create a single package with only amss file, reboot the phone and flash the single package with odin.
Is it possible?, is compatible the 2.2.1 amss with the 2.3.4 or 2.3.3
Thanks

I have an ACE s5830L TELCEL too and I just have a few (2) issues with the "emergency calls only" but i have many problems with wifi (it just turn off and i can´t turn on again only resetting the phone) and problems with flashing screen when I use European firmwares KPE 2.3.3 or KPH 2.3.4, so please kiriotto tell us, do you have an ACE 5830L or just an ACE 5830?
if you have an ACE 5830L, really you don´t have this issues? (wifi and flashing screen), and so, the solution to this problems was flashing with a T-mobile cooper.ops?
thanks for your time...
English:
i install the KPH 2.3.4 and i had the same problem (wifi problems and screen flashing) , i just activate the "use only 2G networks", under setting-wireless and networks-movile networks and alway keep activated that option and also "use packet data", when you want to use wifi just activate and when you deactivate it, the edge in 2G mode become activate.
greetings from mazatlan mexico.

I'm from Brazil and I have a S5830B, yes, with the B, haha.
I bought the phone a few days ago and the first thing that I did was flashing the latest 2.3.4 FW, after that, the phone had these problems, the wifi and the screen flashing. Even flashing back to the 2.2.1 using the European FW, all the problems was still there.
I had to swap the phone with another new on the store. Now I'm using the new phone with the stock 2.2.1 S5830BVJKC4 FW.
We really need an american 2.3.4 FW.

Dear all, I need help. I just bought a Galaxy Ace S5830 from ebay and the selling said I can be upgrade to 2.3.3. I tried using the USB cable with the new Kies PC. After I install this Kies and connect the S5830 to the PC it shown "this device is not upgradeable". I wish someone in here can help me to upgrade to 2.3.3, here is the information I found on my S5830:
Model number - GT-S5830
Andriod verison - 2.2.1
Baseband version - S5830XXKB1
Kernel version - 2.6.32.9-perf
[email protected] #2
Build number - FROYO.ZSKC2
Please help, thank you.
There's no official update from Samsung to the SGA yet. You can update by flashing the FW using another method.

[Q] GT-S5830L > HSDPA Frequencie

Hello everyone!
I'm from Brasil and I bought a GT-S5830L.
I didn´t knew that it, from stock, does not support the 3G frequencies from my country.
I've read that you can change this maybe from a firmware change or something.
I had a bad experience hacking other Android phone and I don't want to mess this up.
Can someone guide me through this?
I've read quite a lot but I'm sure I didn't get ir right!
Is there any Brasilian here to help me? I can´t stand connection on 2G only!
Sorry for this newbie post, but we gotta start somewhere!
I'm not sure you can change the frequency. Maybe. Info on frequencies on the 5830x are available in the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1145939
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
For what I've been searching, if I change my firmware to one that does support the frequencies used in Brasil, my 3G will work.
I'm searching for some answers now 'cause I don't wanna brick this cellphone.
What frequencies do you want to use?
I'm from Brazil and I am going through the same problem. The frequency used here is 3g 850/2100, and the course operator operates on 850 and 2100MHz operators in the other. As the ace s5830L has 850/1900 3G frequencies, the only carrier that would work on 3G operator course. How not intend to change carriers'm looking for a solution that makes our ace works in frequency 2100MHz. I do not know if this would be solved with firmware version 2.3.4 installed pq of living (s5830B) and yet the 3g continued in the same way. Anyway, I am also looking for a solution to this problem, please post who you feel here.
Portugues:
Ok guys, you're looking at it backwards. You have to choose the software (firmware) that matches your hardware (phone version).
The supported frequencies of the phone are based on the radio hardware that it has, this cannot be changed by the firmware.
The only way that you will be able to use both 850 and 2100 is by buying the S5830B phone version.
That's a shame!
I guess I'll have to settle with 2g connections only.
I was hoping that this firmware change would help me.

[Q] I need help with a 3G connection - Android 2.2 F526-tablet LY

Hello,
I have a tablet version 2.2 android model LY-F526 (N706A). When you connect a 3G modem Huawei the tablet through programs of self APN setting provider can properly detect the SIM card I'm using the modem. He also, through programs can inform me of the RF signal network that the modem is receiving.
However, it does not ever connect. What may be missing?
In official settings it only has the Android:
Mobile Networks
data Enabled
Auto connect
Nothing More.
The ROM I am using is 829, last available for him.

[Q] S5830L & S5830M work or don´t work with 3g Brazil ?

Hi friends,
I have a S5830L and S5830M
I've tried different ROMs I've tried changing the modem, but only these two models are on edge, do not enter into TIM's 3G (2100 MHz) in any way.
These devices have different hardware than the S5830B?
The frequency 3g is determined via hardware?
There is a possibility to operate the 3g (2100 MHz)?
Thank you !

Estes aparelhos tem hardware diferente do S5830B ?
A frequencia 3g é determinada via hardware ?
Existe a possibilidade de fazer funcionar o 3g (2100 Mhz) ?
Obrigado
Don't work on any model (M or L), limitation of Hardware
On this two, the HW supports 3G on frequency of 850/1900 and brazilian 3G works on 2100 MHz

So is it impossible to use 3g frequency even with custom roms? I just bought a S5380m model to use it with 3g...

Use this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/development/rom-t3313751
in this rom, you can switch to 2G
I've tried in my i9192
