[Q] CLRCAD.exe - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i'm running windows 6.5 EnergyRom HD2 Sense 2.5 Cookie v2.0 Energy and i noticed that i have a link for LAUNCH ANDROID and it says "CLRCAD.exe was not found on your storage card" proceeding to launch Haret anyway.. then it says Haret not found... HOW DO I GET THIS TO WORK???

When you download an SD android rom it usually comes with haret and clrcad. Your link is just that, a link, if you don't have SD android set up the link won't work.

now how do i set it up??

1.Flash HSPL (Search forum for DL)
2.Upgrade Radio (Ive used 2.12.50.02_2 for ages works great -search forum for DL again)
3.then format SD Card (use your WinMo again to do this - app is in there somewhere)
4.Download an Android Build (Try darkstones SuperRAM build v1.5 - really good!)
5.Unzip Android Files and put into SD card (Sync phone to PC and drop files into SD)
-a. Press CLRCAD (use Windows Mobile File Explorer to Nav to android folder on SD card)
-b. Press Haret (Same process as CLRCAD)
Android will Boot and congrats -
(IMHO dont play with custom ROMS Windows Mobile use stock WWE or whatever - Stick to Android especially when NAND is around the corner..if your going to Windows wait for WP7 - IMHO)
check your software version in case you need to update..few apps to start you off
cookies home tab2 and cht editor
bsb tweaks
open market
again like previous op, do a search as these questions have been asked many times
All .cab files have to be coped to your memory card and run from there. Cab files cannot be unzipped and run from your computer.
Lots of fun ahead of you. Welcome.

Dual-Boot Windows 6.5 (TouchFlo3D) & Android (2.3) on HTC HD2?

Hello.
I'm about to buy a USA T-Mobile HTC HD2 Leo - the lad port an Android 2.3 rom and he says, runs like a charm.
But, I wonna have both OS, WinMo 6.5 with TouchFlo3D & Android 2.3.
Is it possible (I think yes, I saw some videos in YouTube)...
Is there (here) any rom with both these OS together?
Kind regards,
Rom
only by running android from the sd card. Currently there is no way to put winmo and something else both on the internal nand.

Don't care having them both in internal mem, mate.
What you wrote is fine by me.
Any rom with both them on board (Android on SD card) and boot-prompt screen when you're starting the HD2?
sorry, not something i can help with, never run AD from sd card.
There was an app, something like "boot menu" - detects Android on SD on boot and asks which OS to run, but I can't find it right now...

Τοο bad! That probably is what I want.
Anyways... Any decent TouchFlo3D rom for T-Mobile HD2, here?
Can you point me something?
The EnergyRom series has an Android boot option built into it. There are a MYRIAD of Android SD ROMS out there you can put on your storage. Currently I have Energy Sencity and Android Sprint EVO camped out on my Storage. They play together quite nicely.
Try RunDroid. It supports any number of ROMs running on your SD card.

Actually, this is the wrong forum for your "ad" -- he is not looking for WP7 as a base, and it will only dual-boot, using a theme that was copied from mskip.
RunDroid will allow him to run WM6.5x and multiple versions of any Android SD ROM, not limited to dual-booting.

In addition to RunDroid, you can also try MSkip's HD2 Android SD Loader...
Both are very good for your needs, the main difference being that RunDroid enables you to run WM6.5.x on your device, and as many SD Android ROMs you can fit on your SD card.

Sorry, not my site. I am new to the HD2 world as my main phone is the SE X10. Sorry for spamming but that site is the only one that got me going with dual booting.

Τhxs, mates.
My phone arrives in a couple of days (used - runs an Android rom), so I wonna use Android from the SD card but I want also the WM6.5 aswell - dual booting.
Thxs. I'll check EVERYTHING, as soon as my phone arrives.
Got it! The phone arrived!
I'm charging it and I'll try to find a way to have, both WinMo6.5 & Androind from SD card.
Okay... "Jobe Done". I removed the Android rom and I flashed a great WM6.5 rom (Omega - Alexander).
Now, if I wonna have an Android (in microSD card) and using it via Dual Boot prompt, how can I do it? And can I do it with ANY Android rom?
Hi there. Newbie HD2 user myself.
I'm interesting too, about these the thread says.

Did you found anything about that, yet?

[Q] Problem with RunDroid

Hi,
I tried asking in the RunDroid thread, but as I am considered a noob I am not allowed to post there...
I've been trying to install RunDroid 2.3.1, but when selecting my Storage Card root (called Speicherkarte in german) in the directory treee, RunDroid says it cannot find a valid android installation. The root of the storage card is where haret.exe, zimage and so on are located, so this is definitely the right place. I am running FRX07 on Topaz.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi,
I did try to install into italian device (HD2) but with same results.
As Storage card has different name according with language I could see installation creats a link into start\programs that is not pointing to correct link.
I just copied from \rundroid\ the application and pasted into start\programs.
Rundroids starts but no Os is available to be selected, I only have blank list.
Abt Android version try theese:

Go into bootloader (switch in your device while holding down volume up and volume down at the same time)
when you see the 3 coloured screen connect your device to PC via USB
Flash your Stock ROM
So you will go back to Windows Mobile
Please post questions in the Q&A thread. This thread is for ROM development. There are multiple threads on how to restore back to orgional factory settings.
thanks! worked out well

[Q] Re-Install Windows Mobile 6.5

Well, I got a new, used HD2 with Android Froyo already installed. I have flashed later that day CM7 with/over MAGLDR. Now I remember that I have seen a video where the user starts Windows Mobile 6.5 ( the default system, Factory Preset ) and starts Android with a simple shortcut placed on the Homescreen.
Firts question is: How do I get the original software ( Windows Mobile 6.5 ) back on the Phone? What do I have to do?
and the second question is: How to install Android without destroying Windows Mobile? ( Maybe you can post a link to a tutorial ?)
( By the way - if I can start Android from Windows Phone 6.5 - can I work with BOTH system at the SAME time? This would be great )
I know that MAGLDR V1.13 installed but I don't know the HSPL version installed...
To switch back to WM you have to use the sd card method using the original ROM for your HD2.
Original ROMs can be found there:
http://www.htc.com/de/help/htc-hd2/#download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
Info about sd card method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681317
You don't have to "install" Android. You only have to copy the Android folder to the root of your sd.
There are a lot of different Android SD versions and most of theme have given instructions in the first two posts of the thread.
See the Android SD section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735
or
the sticky thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931192
HSPL and MAGLDR will be removed by installing original ROM with sd card method.
You cannot use WM and Android at the same time. You are booting your HD2 from two different sources.
Thank you

Maybe i need this one?: World Wide English (WWE) 3.14.405.2

My first provided link guides to a German HTC site, because the request came from Germany.
The second link guides to a summary of different ROMs.
GER means German, you have to download the correct language and device version.
With device version I mean is your HD2 a original one or a branded one.
For WWE versions you can have a look on HTC's UK site: http://www.htc.com/uk/help/htc-hd2/#download.
If you HD2 is a T-Mobile US version you have to look on T-Mobile web site.
Maybe this thread is also helpfull: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713977
